@@fovarberma752 Oh, well. That's different. A TAS, in broad terms, is a playback under possible, though unlikely circumstances. Thus you get "playaround" videos like this one, that show off how broken a game is, invoking bugs, glitches, oversights, rare interactions, etc. As such, this is an idea TAS to me, although the "speedrun" part of it might seem dubious.
@@underthepale Alright. So you are suggesting a TAS to be made for the soul purpose of highlighting the history of two characters that are near identical? Do you write fanfic where your waifu sized cuddle pillow is the star as well?

@@XenoGuru It's not usually in the title, but that's the category for these kinds of runs when they're posted on the tasvideos website. It is in the description though.
@@XenoGuru Pure "speed" TASes against fighting games are generally dull exercises in spamming one broken/cheap move. It's more fun to see less-powerful, less well known characters dance around, play keep-away with the CPU, just generally make the CPU behave like an idiot, show off some secretly-broken mechanics that may not be common knowledge, or even show something that snaps the game like a dry twig (see: that frozen Dhalsim throw that would have softlocked the game if it weren't interrupted by another player jumping in).
I am making this comment regarding the recent growing hate against fighting game TASes. Owner of the channel, if you have at all seen such nasty comments, please report the channels responsible immediately as they clearly show they are borderline toxic, not understanding at all what TASes are. Fighting Game TASes are well received however without including it (though its no longer applicable)...can result in false accusations being thrown around, and this has recently begun to spike. To the creators of the TASes in question...if you at all see these people, BLOCK THEM IMMEDIATELY, you do not want to become victim of defamation like Vinny did and is still dealing with it.
I get that he was a gag character, but I kind of wish that we had gotten the ability to use Norimaro for consoles in America. I would've made him one of my mains and wrecked everyone with him and Spider-Man/Sakura.

SDR is one hell of a TASer especially in this genre. He convert glitches into entertainment.
I think I've said this before, but these are always infinitely fun. And, the comedic timing of this one was _particularly_ on-point! Nicely done, SDR!
Check out the classic joo MvC2 vids. TAS from the early 2000s that is still better than anything today
YES! New Encoding!
Another one of SDR's golden works.
The Zangief infinite squat is glorious.
A TAS demo of Ryu vs. Ken, especially in the later games, would demonstrate just how well the two fighters know each other in canon.

That team super is Gief-specific, with Gief being lead
INCREDIBLE!
So, no one it's going to talk about the Highscore table?
KEN RYU ADD CAP XD

How you make that move with zangief for charge faster the power bar?
This tas is a classic
What can I say, only SDR can make it like these! Really brings the best out of the glitchfests that are the MvC games. Love this and MvC1's.
4:26 Smell that Yoga feet you American
And you thought the infinities from x-men vs street fighter were removed
I don't think I could love a game much more than I did this one. I just didn't like that tournaments were almost always the same teams
