Happy Sunday people of TH-cam and welcome back to yet another fun video. We enjoyed making this one and really, it was difficult trying to come up with negative things to say about our little island but we got there in the end.🏝️ 🙈😂
Enjoy and don’t forget to drop us a message bellow ⬇️ don’t forget to 😄 Like, love & subscribe.
I can't recommend my own capital Oslo, but I have a few other ones! In Germany you have two gems, Köln (Cologne) and Leipzig. Love them both!! And Malaga in Spain is one of my favourites. The Danish cities Aalborg and Aarhus are beautiful!!
Thanks!
I have never even heard of Aalborg and Aarhus!
@@Corrky such beautiful places!! I normally don't go to capitals, only Berlin is nice. Dublin is a nightmare!
Same here. I never liked big cities in general.
@@Corrky if you haven't yet, take that beauty of a gf and let her show you Kilkenny! That's my favourite place on this earth 💚

Thank YOU for watching :)
Yes Lorraine...quite right due to the weather we need more rooves over outdoor spaces so people could enjoy more outdoors all seasons...well...both seasons in ireland...short summer extra long winter 😊
I’m glad she’s not the only one to think that. I honestly never thought about that at all.
Its mainly why most people huddle at home through winter...we dont mind the weather as long as where we go has a roof from the rains 😊
We have a folk festival in our town over the duration of a long weekend. They get 5 or 6 massive marquee's to shade from sun or rain! Wonderful idea Lorraine's and can confirm it works!
We have wet winters, most of all of our town shops have verandah's..
We have bike lanes here. If cars drive into them, they get a fine. It saves lives!
😂 Ireland is the new Switzerland, as far as banking goes! Trains are cheaper than buses here.
We get 20days annual leave, 4 weeks including weekends! Totals 28day. 2 paid bereavement/compassion days per year. 10 paid sick days. Sounds similar.
I think our bank holidays may be called public holidays or long weekends perhaps.
That’s very informative, thanks! :)
@Corrky both countries were under the penal system and still have similar ways of living.. I think our public health system might be slightly more helpful though!
I’m in New Jersey and I get 5 weeks vacation and 12 federal/state holiday days off. I was in Galway last month for a couple days and really enjoyed salt hill. I would love to see a video out there when the weather permits.
That sounds excellent!
We will film some sort of “Summer in Ireland” video in Salthill when we get the chance :)
you always got charming and fun videos ! great content !!
Thank you :)
Ye could do a comparison list of say 10 things Ireland V Croatia - prices of things - homes-types-areas... food shop...transport... socialising... tourism-costs ... flights... clothing... weather-seasons... xmas etc ❤😊
Noted! Thanks :)
Yay looking forward to it 😊
Lorraine you always make a smile on my face 😄
That’s always nice to hear :)
Average rent per month for a 1 Bedroom in Boston is about $3143 Euro. It's crazy expensive here.
Wow, that actually is crazy!
I was in Boston in March, and I absolutely loved the city. I would 100% live there but might need a housemate to slit the rent! Any takers?!
Super helpful ❤
I’m glad we’re doing something with our videos.
Underground Malls would be a great start. The granite pegmatite of Ireland makes for naturally super-strong cave and caverns. The lighting could be introduced through enhanced solar mirrors like in the expensive homes which have skylights made of them. The natural wind of Ireland just needs to be harnessed and directed. There are nearly zero earthquakes in Ireland. Water is far more controllable than people realize, so long as pressure is dealt with reasonably. In 1982 I went to San Sebastian Spain and saw the existence of an aquarium made of the sea. You simply walked underground and the Spanish have built a massive window into the sea of pure beauty. Anything imagined can be done.
I was in that aquarium in San Sebastián few years ago, great place!
Thank you so much for making these videos, my wife and I super appreciate them as we begin to plan our immigration to Ireland from America !
Such a nice comment! I’m glad you find the helpful :)
would liked to have seen the potters market😊
I found it boring to be honest 🙈
I am planning to move to Cork City, so this is most helpful
Glad to hear it!
Hi guys, we enjoy your videos very much. I have to disagree on the public transport though. I can go from Dromod in Leitrim to Dublin (2 hours ride with the train) for 26 Euro. That's return. A similar ride in the UK would cost me over 100£/116€. We hope you have a happy Sunday.
I will pass it on to her! Thanks for watching and participating! :)
Hi theBeeWrite.. I love your user name by the way. 🐝 📝 😁 €26 return still feels expensive to me and the trip from Galway to Dublin always feels endless and if we had a railway system that was more efficient I think it would make a huge difference. Like the speed trains they have in Asia. 😅🌍
@@curlyginger215 thanks for the compliment 👍. Even better from a fellow ginger lady 🤗 I get the sentiment of it not being efficient but believe me coming from the UK it is rather cheap. We love living here. Always have been welcomed so warmly and helped a lot. Your country rocks despite the housing crisis which is really hard. Would you be willing to challenge yourself and cook a vegan dish? We'd love to see that. 💗
@@Corrky thanks 😊
@@thebeewrites Thank’s for sharing your thoughts 🐝 ☺️ it’s interesting to hear everyone’s thoughts and opinions and I’m glad you’re happy. Maybe we could try to make a vegan/veggie cottage pie 🥧 someday.. My grandma 👵🏻 would turn in her gravy (grave) if she knew I’d turned one of her favourite dishes into a veggie one. 🫣😅 We won’t tell her! 😉
Galway will be hopping tonight though ;)
Because of the game? Yeah I believe it's crazy in town right about now.
As an Irish Person who emigrated just want to say to u i enjoy yer videos
Thank you :)
Irish banking is the worst and most expensive in the world, after 2 years of unsuccessful tries to get one, I realised I don't need one, I use N26 for all, which is like Revolut, but on steroids..
Forgot about N26, thanks!
I had zero problems with banks in Ireland but good to hear a different perspective.
Hi Guys I live in Australia and everything is becoming too expensive, my house insurance has gone up to $9000 au per year and food is really expensive now, alcohol is a lot cheaper here than in Ireland though. Finding a house to rent is becoming impossible and aggression on the roads is scary, my husband is Irish and we are wanting to move back to Ireland
To be honest I have no idea about house insurance here but that sounds way too much!
I would love to learn about the gyms there, vegan places and food, farmers markets, and community gardens…
The Loire Valley I felt was well worth visiting in France… thank you.
We went to a market in our previous video so check that out.
As to the rest I’ll be honest I don’t think that will happen. I’m not a vegan and i never went to gym in my life.
Thanks for France recommendation!
Haha. I considered my comment… and all the hype of just renting a decent place there… so it doesn’t make sense until we can live there…
Rent is worse in U.S depending on thr city. I seen a single bedroom apartment going for almost $2,000 without utilities included.
I’m starting to get the picture. I’ve heard crazy stories about rent in US.
@@Corrky Everything in the U.S is a little crazy right now. My plan is to finish college get my Irish citizenship and move over to Ireland.
Not in the rural area of upstate New York where I live. 1 bedroom apartments run $850 to $900 per month without utilities.
That sounds much more reasonable.
@@connorkelly4578Ireland isn't all it's cracked up to be believe me. There's a reason we're leaving in the highest numbers since the famine.
The government claims we are at full employment so I think the numbers on unemployment payments are low...
just moved it and loving the country but finding it hard to be away from the family
That is, unfortunately, part of moving away to any country.
What about Knock airport?
Yes F1 is the best sport
Thank you!
Lewis Bloody Hamilton. Now with Ferrari 😩 (I’m in the last audience episode of “The Grand Tour”)
I’m a McLaren fan since I first started watching with my dad in late 90s
@@Corrky I’ve always been a Mercedes fan, primarily because of Lewis. But I also happen to love the Mercedes brand. I’ve only been following F1 seriously for about a decade, as here in the US it’s difficult to find people of like mind.
I’ve read somewhere fan base in US is increasing rapidly last few years. If true it might become easier in the future :)
@@Corrky it actually is becoming much more popular. Five years ago actually got the opportunity to drive a Aston Martin V12 vanquish and a Ferrari 488G GTB on the Long Beach Grand Prix circuit. It was kind of an impromptu event, as my buddy had four cars in the super car parking lot at the race, and he drew four tickets (driving on the circuit is by lottery) so both of us literally got to drive Two supercars each on the circuit. He drove the McLaren 720 S and some kind of special Porsche that I really have no affinity for. Never have been a fan of Porsche, when I left the show business 10 years ago because of the big financial crisis, I went back into finance at Merrill Lynch, and then left a few years later after my boss and friend died after he crashed his 2005 Carrera GT into a tree, killing himself in the actor Paul Walker. I was their show business development broker (It’s in the about section on my channel).
Wow, that’s one hell of a story!
I coild choose ireland just cause of the rain actually
I´m rather concerned lately. It´s SO easy to forget. Forget WHY I had to go to Ireland to find a man worth marrying. Lately, I´ve turned around and said, ¨you know, I´ve been sitting here learning Spanish for 3 years solid. I need to get out and make some friends!¨. And, inconveniently, I forgot why I had to import a man from Ireland! Because there weren´t any Americans worthy of marriage! So, now what? Magically, there are going to be men worth being friends with? Hell no! They hate each other, too so, it´s not like I´m not part of the club. The secret is, there is no club! Now, I need to focus: Find male friends in Ireland. Find male friends in Spain. I´m in my 50s so, looking too young is nuts. Still, mature, centered, determined 30s, 40s, 50s..perfect!
100% right on social welfare cases.. couldn't agree more, I would just add immigration politics as many people are coming here and using up the system..
Many of Irish are doing the same unfortunately.
@Corrky Yeah we have enough dossers of our own without importing more.
I'm in the US looking to move to Ireland by the end of the year, but I'm confused when it comes to visas.
How do I apply for a visa that would allow me to live and work in Ireland long term? Do I apply when I get to Ireland, or before, while I'm still in the US?
I honestly have no idea, I’m sorry. I never needed visa or anything like it as EU citizen.
@@Corrky no worries. Thank you for the informational video.
You would need to apply for a visa before you get to Ireland I believe. There is a website … I think it’s called
Heritage Ireland
Ireland is super pricey, mate. The public transport is a total joke, worse than a year-old cheeseburger. And don't even get me started on the rent... it's absolutely insane!
I can't agree more but where do I try a year-old cheeseburger?
Out islands are taken over we are fucked
Think of all the out houses in the out islands 😂. You can't even speak the language of your colonizers correctly are ya even able to speak your own. Great men died for this country while weak ones stood around complaining doing fuck all. Nice to see you keeping tradition alive you gowl 😂
Regarding your social welfare and housing comments how do you feel about the mass migration of undocumented migrants that are entering Ireland and automatically get social welfare medical card housing and as an Irish person myself who had my own business that I had to close I can’t get this.. have you yourself been on social welfare Lorraine?
Don’t be so quick to pass judgment on Irish citizens who are entitled to this at harsh times. You sound very uneducated what is really happening in this country
Good vibes ☘️🍀
Neither Lorraine nor I were ever on social welfare. And in regards to first part of your question I find that whatever and whenever we say anything about the topic we get a huge influx of radicals (from both sides) and we start being threatened so you will not get any comment on that from us ever again on this channel.
@@Corrky migration is number 1 issue in Ireland and the reason why I left Dublin
Ireland needs more sheltered spaces for tents and other sheltered spaces for refugees and migrants.
watching you from ballyban
Greetings from Renmore! :)
