This is actually such a good format - give the boys all the ingredients necessary to make a particular dish, and challenge them to use them to make something totally different. Also I love that Barry is the one making a sandwich and offending international cuisine instead of Jamie, how the tables have turned.

I caught it earlier when Jamie was making the panzanella. Usually people will marinate the tomatoes first and then throw in the stale bread to soak up all the juices. Jamie skipped that bit and tossed the ingredients into a bowl of stale bread so any liquid that comes out/is being added will immediately be absorbed by the bread like a sponge and there's no distribution of flavours. It wasn't the best approach but still passable until he decided to pour in vinegar and I went oh no, the top bit of bread is going to be fully soaked in vinegar and unlucky for Ben, he got that bit in the first bite.

For the first time in about 7 years he was overwhelmingly disappointed with the guys submissions because he expected so much more from them 😂😂 he knew they could’ve made a club sandwich, kept it simple and most likely won and instead went for all style and no substance
Not on topic, but I made it to Fallow last weekend! We were sat at the chef’s table and were able to meet Jack (one of the head chefs/owners)! The food was UNREAL and I cannot rate it higher! I would seriously encourage anyone to go. Thanks for featuring them on here.

I love seeing Kush in more videos recently. Since James left, it really felt like the channel needed another on-screen chef. With Kush, he's bringing a different perspective and different personality, but still providing the right level of sass. I feel like it's helped to keep the content fresh with this added perspective.

I can't even, the bread on bread was just hillarious. I'd have made a two plates, a cesar like salad and French toast as the desert. I'd have to find something to accompany the french toast though. Something like apple compot. I also thought about making a salad and a bread soup. Boil the egg and put it into the salad. Fry the bacon & chicken, cut them into small pieces and throw them into the soup. You only need some onions & garlic for the soup as additional ingredients.

Nah, I think Barry has a long way to go to match Jamie's paella buritto This might be offensive to the French, but they're used to the Brits butchering their food anyway! And there wasn't enough Indian-ness in it to properly rile us up. I vote for Barry to make a biriyani, whenever they do a video next! (Biriyani is one of those dishes in India where no matter what recipe you follow, you'll find a bunch of people complaining that's not _true_ biriyani and you got _everything_ from the type of rice to the type of meat to the garnishes wrong)

Just found your channel like a week ago and I've been binging your content. Really good stuff! And glad to see my favorites Baz and Jay fool around against each other in the kitchen. EDIT: Also a HUGE thank you for providing (mostly) good subtitles on your videos, I find it baffling and almost insulting when channels who are bigger than yours don't do that out of laziness. As a non english speaker it nicely helps me to learn all sorts of new culinary words and stuff when I know how the words are spelled. So thank you again Sorted Food team.

Just so you know since you're still learning the spelling in the subtitles is British English which is generally the same as Australian and Canadian English but can be pretty different from American English.
There are only two traditional ways to have a club sandwich. The original way, is basically just a BLT on top of a turkey sandwich with three slices of bread. Or, the NY/East-Coast street food version. Is a butterflied, and pounded thin chicken cutlet that's been breaded and fried, inside of a BLT (only 2 slices of bread).
When Kush blankly asked "what is curry spice", I felt at a spiritual level. Great sandwich though. Also poor Ben cuz he was excited about the croque madam, and then started to cut a piece and immediately went, Oh this isn't a croque madam. And then the poor lad had to eat the other sandwich, he looked like he was gonna cry with all that vingear. I think the real winner of this is Ben for getting through that!
I had to look it up. Egg in a club sandwich is definitely more of a UK and Commonwealth thing. They are similar enough to what the average US club sammie is in a common ancestor sort of way, but I don't think a person from one side of the pond would expect what they received if they ordered a club on the other.

I love mystery box videos like this because it’s fun thinking of what I’d do if I could actually cook If I could cook I’d turn the sourdough into French toast and fry the chicken to make something similar to chicken and waffles, I’d then use the mayo to make a nice sauce for it If turn the other bread into some breadcrumbs to fry some tomatoes similar to fried green tomatoes and then use the lettuce to make a simple salad on the side

Okay, this has to be one of my favorite videos next to the Pass it On series. If not because of the way that Jamie and Barry seemed to switch brains for this challenge, then because I can highly relate to this concept. I didn’t get to watch this till the end of my day but it was the highlight. So good and funny. Loved the Barry chaos, the Jamie journey to his final dish, Mike’s spirit and good natured ribbing and Ben’s dissection. Saving the highlight of Kush being an ever more present presence in the videos and really loving it. When I’m struggling through things knowing I have your videos waiting for me is such a happy feeling. 🩷
Please have Kush around as often as possible. Not only is he just generally nice to look at, his facial expressions and kitchen skills are a fantastic addition to the crew!

Jamie could have toasted the bread cubes and still made a bread salad with them. It could have been a type of "BLT" salad. Hard boiled eggs are great in a BLT salad with a mayo based dressing.

Redone breaded chicken Caesar salad. Ingredients were perfect for it. Only thing missing in anchovies for the sauce but salt does the same job.

I didn’t get to watch this till the end of my day but it was the highlight. So good and funny. Loved the Barry chaos, the Jamie journey to his final dish, Mike’s spirit and good natured ribbing and Ben’s dissection. Saving the highlight of Kush being an ever more present presence in the videos and really loving it. When I’m struggling through things knowing I have your videos waiting for me is such a happy feeling. 🩷

Jamie could have toasted the bread cubes and still made a bread salad with them. It could have been a type of "BLT" salad. Hard boiled eggs are great in a BLT salad with a mayo based dressing.
