Yes, My local board is a bully! As a broker, if my Real estate agent does not pay their fees they can only be referring agents. Since I am a broker who pays my NAR fees, all my agents must be realtors to do open houses and access the crmls and CAR forms. I have to send a form signed by me that makes agents Referring agents. The fines are insane if we violate their rules.
Talk about monopoly money 💰🤑. The local board can dictate what a licensed DRE agent and broker can do? Wow. Yes I had been put on a referral agent plan. Never settled well that a local board acts like the DRE, as it restricts what a licensed can do or not because of profit .
I am thinking for open houses. I just have an unlicensed person if I’m not available show the home. Obviously they can’t see or do certain things per DRE, but they can’t hand out a flyer.
Excellent video! I've wanted to leave the MLS for years, but the thing holding me back has been the zip forms. Is there a service that offers zip forms without MLS membership?
@@BalboaRealEstate - Interesting, never gave it much thought although I remember reading something by First Tuesday on this. 38 years in the business and have yet to receive an offer on a non CAR form. I know all offers have to be submitted to the sellers regardless of form written on but wondering if a listing agent would counter come back requiring offer be submitted on CAR form?
Kudos, it took a lot of courage to post this video. I imagine you will receive many negative replies. Keep on posting I find your information, provocative and informative.
@@BalboaRealEstate They've called me a few times and I even set up appts with them and never heard back so I thought it was a scam. When I looked into it, it looked like it was mostly for FL, not us here in CA. It would be really great to have a statewide MLS that is independent of the regulations that the current MLS's impose in order to sell us out to companies like Zillow.
What took you so long? I am so frustrated with what the MLS offers. I won't say what I really think of NAR or CAR not enough room here. With the attempting to remove the clear cooperation policy the MLS is not here for realtors but large corporations is I always say go local stay away from the large corporations
As always, well said..

Yep, I go through the same shakedown as you.

Very nice comment. I can tell you notice these things too. Thank you.
So what are your recommendations?
What state are you in?
Can someone make an independent MLS?
Yes, there is an independent MLS (link in the description) and there will be more coming soon.

Agree 100% on going local, independent, or small business directly. There will be more options coming for people that are fed up.
