That the historic centre is not really in the centre, but at the eastern end of the city. Of course, the city sits in the valley so it could not spread to all directions, but just downstream. Anyways, there are lots of things there for you to discover. Is it still that cheap as it was back in 2012? I remember that average meal price at/near Bascarsija was 5-6 KM. Bosanska kafa 1-1.50.

Just a small correction to the mosque and church next to each other, it is not a church but a clock tower, if you zoom in you will see that numbers are in arabic, and the time it shows is not our standardized 24 but rather the position of a sun to indicate the time of daily prayer(i.e sunset is end of the day in Islam and next day has already began, even though it might be 18:00 of our regular clocks :) but everyone is using standard time tracking of 00:00 - 24:00, clock tower was followed in the past but not anymore

6:55 I was born in Sarajevo and live in Croatia currently but that doesn't matter, what matters is that I am from Sarajevo and I read a lot news about it, soon these paper tickets and paying with money might be a thing of past because later in this year there will be cards instead of tickets, cards that are similar to mastercard, visa card etc., but only used as tickets and electronic card readers which will revolutionise Sarajevo's public transport, that's just one part though and also you can't go with a tram through whole route because tracks on the west side of town are being reconstructed so you would have to use bus as a substitute for a tram, low floor trams should come next year and new trolleybuses should come this year plus the traffic lights and management should also improve so I would suggest you to visit Sarajevo again later if you will be able to, all of that should also be done what I put here if another war doesn't break out and I don't want that myself especially the citizens, anyways if you two will be able to, visit Sarajevo again and bring friends along for them to see the beauty of this city in person

3:22 - is the Sahat Kula (clock tower) not church :)) but yes, 100-150 meters from that mosque (Begova dzamija), you have Catholic church and eastern Orthodox church... little down the road 5 minutes walk tops, there's a synagogue as well.
9:23 - 😬🤦🏼‍♂️ I'm not blaming you or judging for that matter.

@@SarahandMarek You’re welcome. It surely looks like a church, but it’s only old clock tower from the times of ottoman empire.

We asked a friend while traveling through Bosnia and he said veganism is not really a thing there yet. When you go to restaurants you might find vegetarian options but you won't find many vegan options. Hope this helps :)

3:08 Turkey is a European country by many aspects! What an offensive use of language!
