Very cool. I have one similar Just been hanging in my shop a year or longer and recently picked up one a little different. Now that I'm thinking about it, I have a couple of more I had forgotten about. I will have to dig them out and do a show & Tell. God bless.
I run two of them on regular gasoline in mine. The jet needs cleaned every few hours of operation. Don't use a metal wire as it will alter the bore of the jet and you'll have a flaming-gasoline-squirt-gun. I ruined one but keep it around for starting brush piles. The piston gasket can be replaced with leather cut from an old glove, and after a careful cleaning, just about any of these will run like new and are very useful.
@krubbyscountrylife I saw a ton of them at an antique store in Wichita last Spring. Just couldn't get everything I wanted to bring home in my carry on luggage :(
@krubbyscountrylife never been brave enough to use petrol, I always thought it was too flammable so maybe I'll have a go in the middle of a field lol 😂
I have Coleman Camp fuel in mine. But they will run on pump ⛽ like unleaded Regular. Some will use kerosene. The primer you fill will denatured Alcohol normally. Or metho hydrate to preheat. Then when it's hot then you light it. More research on my torch is needed. But I have 2 different ones that will be restored one day
It did over fill for a second and I thought the base had a leak. But ya poof ball at times. I had a air blower and fire extinguisher close by if it went sideways
Very cool.

Looking forward to it.
Pretty neat! Never seen one of those. I like it!
Thanks Karl. I have a 2nd one too to fix
Not like I saw on "Jonny Quest" for that one episode when they battled a sea monster on an abandoned ship, but it's still cool.
I think that my mom had a couple old brass torches. I should see if my dad still has them and see if i can get them fired up.
I fixed this one with my old work boots to make a pump cup for it
Got one with the soldering iron and rest on top. Very neat seeing one in action!!
The rod holder is broken on this one. But my other torch is still intact

Hey great advice. I used a old work boot to fix my pump on this one
One of these is on my bucket list. Nice fire up!
Check garage sales etc. there not big dollars

It's a neat old unit. I wouldn't want to use it everyday though lol. Thanks for watching and commenting
Fun Krubbs !!!!😊
There it goes 😊
Nice strong flame 🔥
Thanks for posting
Pretty Cool
Thanks Donna. It belonged to my Late Great Uncle who used it
@@krubbyscountrylife that is so cool ! I love stuff that was used by family members that have went on
I got one of these, problem is that here in the UK, paraffin is about £10 (gbp) a gallon, and it's too dammed expensive to run it .
This one has Coleman white gas in it. It will run on pump petrol too

I won't fire it up in the house. Fire extinguisher nearby either outside or in the shop
I have to try kerosene in mine and see if it's more stable
I built one of these once.
That's awesome. This one is a factory made torch
@@krubbyscountrylife Here was the first prototype:

At 1st it looked like you had started up an IED and were gonna lose some eyebrows.
