The acrylic paints in the bottles will not be as opaque as the ones in tubes because they are thinned out for the bottle usage. Iridescent colors are translucent by nature.
Yes agreed, I prefer it a bit thinner in consistency, as I often use coloured pencils over the top, so I want the smoothest surface I can. As soon as I use anything thicker, I dislike the texture it leaves. ( Plus I like a matt finish, which generally the cheaper stuff is) I like both, and will use them so I'm pleased with it. I'll use the iridescent stuff over the top of pencil colour anyway, so I want it a bit translucent, x👍
That's awesome that you found a machine that punches A4 size - and one that's less expensive and punches more sheets at once! :) I originally bought mine for binding things for educational purposes, too - but now it just does colouring stuff for me. :) And thank you so much for the mention, Wendy!! All the best to you for the new year!
Thanks it was all totally your inspiration, I wasn't aware there were machines that could do this, Im excited to have a play with it. Best wishes, W, x ❤️
Those arteza colouring books are a nice size. I would just colour over all those fine doodles similar to Millie Marortta books. Happy New year hope you feel better soon 🫶🏻👋🏻🇨🇦
Yes, you are right, I struggle a bit with Millies books for the same reason. I need to make myself colour over stuff I don't like, but I struggle to do that. ( In my head its breaking the rules!😂) Hope you are good, xx Best wishes, x 💗👍
Looks like you got a lot of goodies and fun things! Love the Arteza Iridescent Acrylic Paints! Looks like a lot of pretty colors!😍Thank you for sharing!
I've got the same binding machine, I take my colouring books apart and use the metal coils, you just have to squeeze the coil together by hand. My experience says ignore how many sheets of paper they say fit in the plastic coils, I reckon they used tissue paper to get those numbers lol. Also I find 3 pages of Johanna Basford paper is easy to punch, maybe 5 or 6 cheap copy paper, again, they must have used tissue paper in order to cut 12 sheets. I do love my machine though, it's been well worth the money, plus you feel like you're playing a one arm bandit machine lol
Oooh, not sure I've brave enough to take a book apart just yet! 😉😂 But I'm looking forward to getting used to using this. Aaah right, perhaps I won't try 12 then! 😉 It feels like a really robust machine, so hopefully it will keep me organised for many years to come! 😁 Great to hear your experience with it! Thanks so much, x
Happy New Year to You Triinu, xx⭐️⭐️ Im still full of a cold, I seem to be attracting ever germ now, ( The joy of working with teenagers!😂) I'm much better than I was though, thanks for asking, x Hope you are doing well, xx💗🫶🏻
Yes but I'm too chicken to do it!😁😂 I will need to have a play with them, I've used the fine one, and Im quite liking it, I suppose I don't do huge backgrounds often, I'll have to give it a try, x ❤️🤞
Great goodies. I have the large set of Arteza Metallic acrylic paints and i love them. I want those pastel paints, they look gorgeous 😍. Do you know if you can buy those Arteza colouring books separately? I didn't like the first one, but the doodle one looks fun.
HIya Trudy, Happy New Year, xx Oh right, I might add the metallics as well then. ( Birthday coming up soon!😉😂) The pastels are great, I'm really pleased with them. They will need two coats, but I love the colours. I'm not sure where my friend got the Arteza books from, ( I haven't asked) but they were wrapped together, so they look like a two pack to me. I prefer the second one too. Perhaps have a nosey on their website? Hope you are doing well, x 👍💗🫶🏻
@@wendyscolouring I suppose if I bought both colouring books I could gift the other one to someone. Was it Amazon that you got the pastel paints from? I'm sorry your still poorly by the way, that seems to be taking ages to go away. I'm not great to be honest. Not sure if I told you or not, but mum nearly died 2 weeks before Christmas and I've now become her carer and I'm struggling with it. My seizures have increased too, had 2 yesterday and 2 on Wednesday. Xx
Hi Wendy and Happy New Year! What printer do you use that you’re having success with the thicker paper? Mine accepts lightweight cardstock only and it’s finding its way to the rubbish bin very soon!! Love the gifts your hubby gave you… now I’m wanting to try the Supracolor Aquarelle pencils since I also find them uncomfortable to use and a bit hard for my liking. Happy coloring!
I have a lexmark laser, ( Cs410Dn) but it's old now, I doubt its one you could/ or should buy. I've been putting the Neenah cardstock through it. If I'm honest it's on its last legs, it won't connect properly to the computer anymore, it flags up warnings on my computer, as the the drivers are too old. ( I've updated them as much as possible) I am totally NOT recommending it! 😂 Its very frustrating, as when it works it does print well, and can handle more thicker papers than most, but I dread switching it on, as I know its in the lap of the Gods on whether it will print or not.😂 Im sure there are much better more modern ones out there. The suparcolors are lovely, those I will totally recommend, beautiful pencils, 👍 and much more gentle in the hand! 👍 Thanks for watching, Hope you are having a Super New Year, xx 💗
@@wendyscolouring Humm… now that’s a printing pickle 😂. I’ll check around and see if Lexmark has an updated version of that printer or maybe hit up one of the office supply stores and bring a sheet of Neenah to see if any of their laser printers can handle the paper weight. I’d love to find one that’ll accept watercolor paper, but then again I probably wouldn’t want to pay what a printer like that would cost 🤣. Thanks so much for the info… I’ll start searching more seriously for a suitable laser printer! Take care and best of luck with your struggling Lexmark - hahaha!
Hi Brittany, sorry I'm confused? I don't think I showed any watercolour paper in this video did I? I wouldn't generally print on any watercolour paper, as generally I work in coloured pencils, so prefer a paper that suits the pencils first. I perhaps mentioned the Neenah paper did I? I do like working on this, it suits my pencils, works great with markers, and it will hold up to a bit of watercolour background if I need. Perhaps one day I'll give watercolours a serious try, but I'm definitely no watercolour artist, so at the moment, this paper works well for me. 👍🫶

Please take this with the kindness it’s meant, but please stop referring to yourself as an idiot, you certainly are not an idiot. 😢
Thank so much, ❤️ its just a turn of phase that's a habit for me, I suppose I mean clumsy, but thanks for thinking of me, x 💗
140lb is the very basic when it comes to watercolor paper that watercolor artists will use.
