I fell in love with a singer who sang this song. Once I learned he is Liu Yuning, the same person who sang the opening OST of Back from the Brink, I fell again. Now, I learned he is also an actor and will have a drama coming out where he is a lead actor…Goodness. I fell head over heals.
This is one of the best intro songs I have heard in a while. A good intro should be a reflection of the show and this one nailed the brief. The show was from LSS's pov, while the song is TTJ's heart in words. The whole piece is so amazing. With the initial mysterious music and then the vocalising that was followed by the grandeur of the Organ, it's just amazing. Interestingly, for the first verse, LYN's voice wasn't accompanied by a lot of music. It's just vocal. Then, the second verse borders between a sort of rap and a normal song, but it encapsulates the vibes of the middle of the show. The three parts of this song each represent three parts of the show. And the last line is just so sad! But 0:32 is my favourite lyric in the whole piece. The notes he catches here are just next level!
I will tell you the secret of liu yuning, this guy is not only a great singer but also a great interpreter. He is that 'poet' in every historical drama. His delivery tone in a song interpret the whole plot of the story.
@@ilyahanun409late reply, but yes! I completely agree with you that he is a poet in music for dramas. One thing I love about him is that he is so versatile as a singer! He can sing all sorts of genres and his vocalisation and enunciation will always be different according to the drama. He has said that his experience as an actor has improved his interpretation of songs, especially for his OSTs as well, since he now puts himself in the perspective of the character as he sings the song.
IKR! I got so mad when they deleted that montage of TTJ resting above a mural of MY and SJ's wedding with his eyes closed. It was the most beautiful part of the opening sequence with some of the most beautiful lyrics in the song!
0:33 - Ah this pierce the heart! You should combined this song with the actions and expressions of the Devil God! Liu Yuning surely brought out the dominance of the Devil God!
