For context, I'm also a sexual 9w1. Part of why I have fear around feeling/expressing big excitement about something ("it was an awesome day") is that I don't know if it's actually true or not. There are so many perspectives, so many realities, so many truths that I constantly think about all the time, that by the time an experience reaches the "how do I personally feel about it" part, I've already seen 10 ways that the experience could be less exciting in another context than it was for me personally. To not consider all those perspectives takes a ton of energy; I'd go as far as to say that I have to internally "fight" to just jump to my own personal thoughts and feelings about something.
I relate to what you said at the end. Which is that sometimes action can be scary. Personally I can admit when I don't like something. But then actually doing something about it is hard !
Just to add as a fellow 9w1 - My husband (3w2) and I have figured out that expectation from others is a great DEMOTIVATOR for me. So to say I had a great day and then have someone say they had a bad day compels me to try to make it better for them in order to create harmony. It literally feels like an expectation and that I need to respond and do something to make it better. Or- that I need to pick up their part- whether at work, church, or home in order to ease their burden and create peace. 😊😉

11:34 : it's also kind of a search for homeostasis. Trying to avoid the bumpy ride, the emotional roller coaster.
