Holy shit in real life, those AA pieces would be huge danger against the A10s.
The Tunguska was specifically designed to counter heavily armored planes such as the A10, and were used to escort armored divisions such as this. Then the Buk has radar heavy long range missiles that goes beyond the range of the A10's maverick missiles. Then finally the 9k33 Osas are long-range radar missles too! There's no way, those aa emplacements would just idly let the A10s do close range bombing runs or allow a drone to fly overhead.
The Soviet Union spent loads of money to prevent USA's harrassment with air vehicles. Just impossible for the A10 to just waltz in and destroy stuff.
This is a game.
So the anti-aircraft vehicles are just cosmetic

I've always wanted to be a fighter pilot since I was a little boy but my eye sight is not good how ever I went to the fire academy in pearl Mississippi and graduated the fire academy and worked in the fire service as a career firefighter interior attack firefighter and on my days off I was a volunteer firefighter I was in the fire service for 10 years and I injured my middle back in the fire service and I had to retire 5 years ago and for 5 years I been having chronic middle back pain and my nurse practitioner in November of 2018 sent me for an X-RAY on my thoracic spine and diagnosed me with osteoarthritis in my thoracic spine which is my middle back I have osteoarthritis at multiple levels of my thoracic spine but I don't regret my fire service career one bit I saved a lot of lives and I also lost alot of people but I know in my soul I have done everything within my training and my ability I tried everything to save those lives I have had an excellent 10 year fire service career and I retired at the rank of lieutenant now me and my wife as settled down since I'm getting older and she is getting older and I thank God everyday for putting that lovely woman in my life when my back is down and out that woman goes above and beyond to take care of me and make sure I'm alright but I am a man so I try not to let the pain get my down she as to work now to help keep is s float I do get a check in the mail every month for getting injured and having to retire but I do shit around the house while she is at work like working on our car when it needs fixing or I do yard work the only time I don't do anything is when my back is out and I'm not able to do any thing but my wife works her ass off and I'm proud of her when I was in the fire service I was the only one working because we are an old school married couple we believed in a traditional marriage where I'm the man I protect and provide for my wife but it was hard on both of us because I worked 24 hour shifts and alot of time i worked over to 36 hour shifts and that is why I laugh when like McDonald employees bitch and complain about having to work to much when us firefighters everyone we got to the fire station to do our tour of duty we had to check all our equipment to make sure it worked properly check the fire engine and the medic units for all the proper equipment and gear on it and when I injured my middle back I still showed up for my 24 to 36 hour shifts with my back in chronic pain and I still suited up in my 80 pound firefighting gear with a 50 pound air tank strapped to my back and shoulder and I still ran into structure fires with my back in chronic pain and these McDonald's employees bitch and complain when they have a bit of pain and civilian workers have no true idea of what real chronic pain is chronic pain is really big amongst us firefighters chronic pain and firefighters go hand and hand and so does cancer and every time we got back to the fire station from a call I called my wife and parents to let them know I'm still alive if fast food workers have a bad day they still live and get to go home to their families if us firefighters have a bad day we did

Awesome work. A-10s are my favorites. They shouldn't be retired if they still kick ass
There are other factors involved other than effectiveness. The A-10 frame is exceedingly expensive to maintain now. It requires work practically after every flight. It's like when a car starts to rack up the miles, it will require more and more servicing / replacing as time wears on.
It will be retired in the future yes, but as for the Air Force's plans on future replacements, you don't have a clue.
My point is, unless you're directly involved with the decision making process that decides what or what not to do in the USAF, you have no way of knowing what they'll plan. All your information comes from documents released to the public. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to realise they don't always tell the truth.

Yeah, the enemy had no clue that A-10s were in the area, only got two missiles off while the Hogs were circling to shoot. But if it was very realistic, we couldn't play at all until DCS provided stealth aircraft, electronic warfare and Wild Weasel anti-AA jets. It's how things have to be in a limited game like this. ; )

Completion seems to have taken five years.
tor and tunguska would fire at the slow and easily detectable a-10 before it could even get in range. also the tunguska and tor would shoot at the incoming missiles toward them. still very entertaining video. just saying, better to except a hard fight vs russia, instead of an easy fight.

I love the Thunderbolt-2. One of the Best aircrafts 4ever. But I can not understand why the Airforce hate that attacker?
I can not understand too why the USA do not use the complette potential of the Thunderbolt-2. I mean it is an tactical attacker but with out anti-SAM and AAA weapons like Harm and with only one missle Maverik? I think it should use the complette Air to Surface weapons of the Nato: JSOW+Hellfire+Brimedtone+Storm-Shadow+Harpoon+Harm+etc and 2 Meteors as air to air. The Frogfoot can use all of the russia air to Surface weapons.

I'm hoping to find a resource to help in deciding between Black Shark 2 or Flaming Cliffs 3, or just the F-15c as a module for DCS World. I much prefer in-cockpit switches and so forth; as an A-10c owner that preference is more than adequately satisfied....... but I've seen little praise for F-15c module; a lack of actual in-cockpit mouse usage isn't a favorite feature to many. DCS customer relations is alleged to be pretty sketchy, if it exists at all. Waiting on that $25 price for Black Shark 2, though. For actual jets, BMS Falcon is far above adequate...... but for helicopters DCS owns the realm.
