I saw Nadeem and Shabana acting as Hero and heroine in film Chokori while serving in Pakistan Air Force around 1969. I was a youngster of 18 years at the time of viewing that movie. I'm now, after 53 years, watching 'Meherbani', acted by Mohammed Ali, Nadeem and Nayyar Sultana. I used to know all of them so well once. I now miss Sabiha, Santosh, Zeba, Mohammed Ali, Waheed Murad, Deeba, Neelo, Roksana, Rangila, Lehri and many other filmstars so much. I'm a retired Air Force Officer from Bangladesh at my 74 years of age.
Believe me I just saw this movie and it is the first Pakistani movie that I have seen. Scrolling down the video in TH-cam, I saw the song Kabhi kwahishon Ne Loota. After watching that song, I started thinking what kind of film it would be. And I started watching the movie. Now I wonder why I haven't seen Pakistani movies before, very good film very good actor❤❤❤❤❤❤

Music of this movie is too good. Ms. Babra Sharif is excellent in her role here. Most importantly one thing must be mentioned. That is, Mr. Akhlakh Ahmed was a very good singer. He was a genuinely knowledgeable person of music. He had a clear understanding on musical notes, musical instruments and above all he knew that in which way the song would be sung, which was given to him for singing. TV channel Film World has shown this movie yesterday (On 20.08.2020). In an TV interview, Babra Sharif heroin of this film told that Meharbani & Mehman are her favourite films....It's also among the best films of Pervez Malik, the director. All know that india copied it with the name of Alag Alag starring Rajesh Khanna (In the role of Nadeem ), Tina Munium (for Babra) and Shashi Kapoor ( for Mohd Ali ) but it could not maintain the standards set by Meharbani in its all departments, except music . Nadeem, Babra, Mohd Ali & Nayyar Sultana are far ahead without any overacting or cheapness. Directorial job done by Pervez Malik has made this film a Classic for all times. Subject has been treated with delicacy & decency.

One of the best Pakistani films. Nadeem has played his role to perfection he is no doubt an actor with great sensitivity and diversity. Babra also acted very nicely with innocence as well. Ali bhai looked very graceful as the doctor. Rajesh Khanna copied the film and was no match to Nadeem either in acting or looks

TV channel Film World has shown this movie yesterday (On 20.08.2020). In an TV interview, Babra Sharif heroin of this film told that Meharbani & Mehman are her favourite films....It's also among the best films of Pervez Malik, the director. All know that india copied it with the name of Alag Alag starring Rajesh Khanna (In the role of Nadeem ), Tina Munium (for Babra) and Shashi Kapoor ( for Mohd Ali ) but it could not maintain the standards set by Meharbani in its all departments, except music . Nadeem, Babra, Mohd Ali & Nayyar Sultana are far ahead without any overacting or cheapness. Directorial job done by Pervez Malik has made this film a Classic for all times. Subject has been treated with delicacy & decency.

One of the best Pakistani films. Nadeem has played his role to perfection he is no doubt an actor with great sensitivity and diversity. Babra also acted very nicely with innocence as well. Ali bhai looked very graceful as the doctor. Rajesh Khanna copied the film and was no match to Nadeem either in acting or looks
