I have decided that my craft storage needs to be see through because if I can’t see it, I probably won’t use it! I noticed that some of your ideas are see through too, yay!!💕
I’ve seen so many craft room ideas, and for me I absolutely cannot stand it if all of my stuff isn’t unified, even if it didn’t start out that way. Paint everything the same color and then visually everything will look so much more appealing! I agree that organization is key! Thank you for this video!
Lots of good ideas. I'm making storage pouches that have an acetate or vellum front. I use cardstock, cut it 8 x 8, fold a part down for a flap. Make 2 gussets for the sides, use a small strip for the bottom front. Glue the acetate to the gussets & bottom front, then glue the front to the back. Use a simple circle and string closure for the closure.
Thank you for the tips, I started using the larger plastic envelopes to store digital kits I print out but not ready to use. (if i don't print them I will forget them) 💖
Love the idea about the stencils. Mine have been in a large document plastic envelope and it has not worked well. I went right to town and I made a three-ring binder with my stencils and I love it I also take the plastic sheet covers and saw them on my sewing machine to make all different kinds of pockets. I use Bell's spaces to put all the fuzzy cuts that I do out of magazines because that's how I make a lot of my ephemera. Blessings and hugs from New Mexico
Some great ideas. I store a lot of my stamps and dies in biscuit tins and sweet tins as they stack neatly in the tall book cases I have ( took me a while to find one the right measurements ) their left over from Christmas mostly and I have picked a few up from charity shops. My family also gave me leftover shoe boxed and I covered them in wipe clean sticky backed plastic film ( it was sticky back plastic when I was younger so that's what I remember ) not sure what it's called now. I use small plastic tubs in the shoe boxes to store my junk journal bits. Just thought I'd share with everyone. ❤
Instead of buying expensive magnetic at thr hardware stores they sell magnetic sheets as vent covers in the US. They come in sheets of 3 and work perfectly. Thank you Amanda
Due to combining 2.5 households, a massive purge (including crafting items) was done last year with tons of stuff was gotten rid of. So all of the CDs, VHS, DVD and other stuff was donated to a woman’s shelter, senior center and other charities. What I did keep was the 4 sturdy refrigerator bins, along with purchasing some clear Avery Elle extra large storage pockets. I slipped a piece of leftover or misprinted card stock inside for strength then added my stamps, dies, embossing folders, and stencils into the varying envelopes. Great way to store stamps and dies together. I sorted by holiday/theme added to freezer bins to store. I can flip through the bins and clearly see the items and can now find things easily. If the bins become full, it is time to reassess all the content and donate the items I don’t use to other crafters or charity. Keep your useful ideas coming! They are appreciated!
Hello Amanda. Great tips! I specially like the one for washi tape. I have mine in a big box but I love the idea of putting them on acetate! Take care 🤗
Aah Amanda you know us so well. Laughed out loud when you mentioned the project life sheets. 😂😂Found them recently when sorting in my craft room. 18 pages!! Repurposing a large folder that they can go in and will see how I go using them for my ephemera. Thanks for the tip.
I’ve got lots of vhs boxes filled with stash and it’s made life easier. All my digitals are in lever arch files in plastic pockets. Good idea to use them for stamps and stencils. Ephemera is the biggest nightmare. I think the ringbound book may be an idea for me so I can free up some boxes of bits. Tks for the tips Amanda.
I have all my stamps in VHS and DVD cases. If they are a stamp and die set, I tape a magnet sheet into the case so the set is together. I store by manufacturer and you can put a lot of stamp sets in a VHS case.
Great ideas Amanda. I may be newer to crafting but always done crafting in some way. I can’t believe the things I have already acquired in the past year. All these bits and bobs and things and paper! Fantastic ideas with CD cases.
These are wonderful ideas! I could kick myself for throwing out the CD and DVD cases! 😢 I will definitely be using these ideas. My craft room needs Jesus. 😂 I'm working on it, but my goodness, I'm like a squirrel in a nut factory. I see something and forget what I was supposed to be doing. 😆 🤣 😂 Thank you! ❤😊

Yes I absolutely think if you can't see it you forget you have it xx

Yes uniformity just makes anywhere look tidy right away . Glad you enjoyed the video x

Sounds a fab idea x
Great ideas! Storage is always tricky! My ephemera is crazy and I made tons of the ephemera holders! Never enough room! Lol
Yeah one thing I try to do is not over collect. If you have say four folders or boxes or files full of ephemera then do you need more ? xx
Thanks for all the brilliant tips Amanda. I'm sure they'll come in very handy xx❤
You are so welcome x
