Because miatas are built like a rototiller. I once pulled 2 spark plugs out of my miata and it still ran. With all the design flaws it still runs somehow

I watch your channel because you guys aren't a million dollar team. It's cool to see what regular guys can accomplish with a little money. Since Florida, Kyle has not been on top of the cars and builds and it shows in the results... Constant problems and breaking. I used to race 4G63T 6-Bolt DSM's back in the day and I get my racing fix from your channel. You guys work your tail off to not only bring decent content but you are deff having a great time doing it. Great Job. It sucks you only found an exhaust leak but part of the journey is learning from mistakes. Taking a Race motor apart to only find an exhaust leak sucks but now you know that was the issue. I seen guys running hondas back in the day the Turbo H22's and B18's blow up engines left and right because the engine management back then wasn't too good and it didn't help you had kids tuning it. But there strive to rip it apart and fix it is what I see in you guys. Me personally I'd have to rip my motor apart every season.
I mean, when you put Ignite E85 you gotta tune it for it since it’s not the same as pump E85 that’s almost never actually E85. Especially for a 1000hp engine. Not negative just pointing that out.

Well Kyle is a lot more rich now, and fans have invested a ton of time and money into the channel. He has almost 1 Million subs.. I think people just wanna see better results from these builds... Everyone knows sh*t happens in racing, But Kyle's builds have been a mess and he is having failures left and right. Kyle has Wyatt, but he should probably start hiring some professionals behind the scenes to help as well. He has the money and can afford it now.
If he hired people behind the scenes all we'd see is a finished car, rather see the process of them building n making mistakes so we don't have to make them😂😂

He's still blooming and to tell him you're disappointed in his builds is the exact opposite of what a budding car person needs to hear.

I too was in the comments of last video agreeing with guys it's the exhaust, so naturally in this vid I was keeping an eye on that gadget. That big as black stain on the exhaust gasket at number one cylinder is 100% the leak and sound. 6:30 in i stare at it and poor kyle doesn't see it and disassembles whole engine to not find it OOF

Been there done that I got a piece of steel in my eye from a milling machine while working on a Cummins head, was a fool thinking it would come out went to eye doctor 4 days later my eye has healed over the piece which was right on the outer part of my cornea. Doc had to stick a tiny little drill in my eye to break it up so he could pull it out. 10/10 great experience 🤣

i've heard almost the same sound on my buddies camaro i did headers on.. it had a broken bolk.. the multi layer steel gasket kinda acts like a turkey call lol. it chirps bad.. sounded awful. i called it on their last video.. just saying.

I'm just a welder/fabricator, who is just now getting into taking engine apart. That said since quite a few people were saying it, and I have heard similar things. I believe its a exhaust leak, like a cracked header. Especially how it stoped when it got warm/hot. You would be amazed by how much metal moves! You could pressure check the header using soapy water and air pressure or go get the dye penetration stuff they use to check for cracks in welds. Both will show you very quickly!
Good to see you guys being slowly becoming more thorough with your builds! Would be great to see all the cars running and on the streets at some point. You've come along way since the wago street racing days.

Wyatt's statement was exactly the point I was making in my comment on the last video. He said, "It is difficult for two guys to keep track of seven cars." That is why it would be beneficial to focus on one car, get it running 100% where all that should be needed is "standard" race maintenance, unless something breaks. Then you have a car running for the events and you work on the other cars in your own time. It's like the thought that an NFL team that has two starting QB's really has no starting QB. A shop that has seven partially running cars really has no running cars.

Did you check the length of the rods? sometimes aluminum rods can stretch or compress since it's a much softer alloy. Just a thought, either way love the content, don't change.

Even multimilion dollar F1 cars fail, and those are purpose build and developped race cars. You guys are building cars, build for the street, into racecars with more horsepower than most F1 racecars. I mean, when you put Ignite E85 you gotta tune it for it since it’s not the same as pump E85 that’s almost never actually E85. Especially for a 1000hp engine. Not negative just pointing that out.

Well Kyle is a lot more rich now, and fans have invested a ton of time and money into the channel. He has almost 1 Million subs.. I think people just wanna see better results from these builds... Everyone knows sh*t happens in racing, But Kyle's builds have been a mess and he is having failures left and right. Kyle has Wyatt, but he should probably start hiring some professionals behind the scenes to help as well. He has the money and can afford it now.
If he hired people behind the scenes all we'd see is a finished car, rather see the process of them building n making mistakes so we don't have to make them😂😂

Lol dude he's still in his early 20s and just dipped into the crazy horsepower shit in the last couple years. 90% of his earlier builds relied on having a really badass tuner and hondahead helping. He is nowhere near the level of other youtubers who can afford to just throw money at problems and have sponsorships cover everything. He's still blooming and to tell him you're disappointed in his builds is the exact opposite of what a budding car person needs to hear.

I was an exhaust tech for years and it does sound like an exhaust leak and the way that stain looked, those types of leaks are always loud.

I too was in the comments of last video agreeing with guys it's the exhaust, so naturally in this vid I was keeping an eye on that gadget. That big as black stain on the exhaust gasket at number one cylinder is 100% the leak and sound. 6:30 in i stare at it and poor kyle doesn't see it and disassembles whole engine to not find it OOF

Kyle it's the fuel! It has water in it and reduces the knock value and likely gummed up the injectors

Been there done that I got a piece of steel in my eye from a milling machine while working on a Cummins head, was a fool thinking it would come out went to eye doctor 4 days later my eye has healed over the piece which was right on the outer part of my cornea. Doc had to stick a tiny little drill in my eye to break it up so he could pull it out. 10/10 great experience 🤣

Yes, it looks so obvious black and sooty. Ticking valve noise that goes away with heat can be exhaust leak.
i've heard almost the same sound on my buddies camaro i did headers on.. it had a broken bolk.. the multi layer steel gasket kinda acts like a turkey call lol. it chirps bad.. sounded awful. i called it on their last video.. just saying.

I'm just a welder/fabricator, who is just now getting into taking engine apart. That said since quite a few people were saying it, and I have heard similar things.
I believe its a exhaust leak, like a cracked header. Especially how it stoped when it got warm/hot. You would be amazed by how much metal moves!
You could pressure check the header using soapy water and air pressure or go get the dye penetration stuff they use to check for cracks in welds. Both will show you very quickly!
Only if people knew where this channel started from a bunch of guys in a garage having fun

Probably an exhaust leak. Unplugging the injector makes the sound go away since there is no combustion happening in the cylnder.

Wyatt's statement was exactly the point I was making in my comment on the last video. He said, "It is difficult for two guys to keep track of seven cars." That is why it would be beneficial to focus on one car, get it running 100% where all that should be needed is "standard" race maintenance, unless something breaks. Then you have a car running for the events and you work on the other cars in your own time. It's like the thought that an NFL team that has two starting QB's really has no starting QB. A shop that has seven partially running cars really has no running cars.

Did you check the length of the rods? sometimes aluminum rods can stretch or compress since it's a much softer alloy. Just a thought, either way love the content, don't change.

The difference between you and cooper is I respect you because you actually work on your car and show it to us.
