Hi Ben, Thanks for the comment... I'm flattered!! It's a recording from 3 years ago and I must say that I see so many problems in this performance, and I would love to do a re-take. I also to handwhistling, so I might upload something with that the next time.

How many of you guys caught his whistling technique when he whistles really fast for a powerful note using his cheeks to fill with air to make a second breath while still playing a high/powerful note and breathing.

This is Hungarian music, I think he learning music with the Kodaly method. We have a fantastic whistler too: Hacki Tamás. He has the most unique technique I have ever seen.

You can either blow up one cheek only by air pressure from your breath (that is, not using your cheek muscle) and let the rest of the air whistle OR get a falsetto whistling by overblowing and letting the air run along your palate, not your tongue.

It's been almost 3 years since and I've been practicing more than 3hrs everyday so I bet you can't beat me right now :) but you should upload a vid! I would like to hear your whistling.
Well, it must be an American world, (like their football world champions). But honestly, while he was better than be, he hit a LOT of wrong notes. They were close to the one he wanted, but not quite there. Sure he can hit the high notes, but I would prefer the right notes.
