It would be funny if Allen Ludden handed them different words at the same time and then see how they react to it. That would've been a funny bit for candid camera.

They were both very good players! And seemed like nice people, too. The clue I would have used for "barrel" was "cask."

Whenever Allen says "that's an interesting clue" it means don't pay any attention to that clue.

For "Shed" I was thinking of a couple things including "Exfoliate" or possibly (I think it's one word) "Snakeskin." Now, it may or may not follow but I guess "Molt" might potentially help...

When Anthony was erring over the word Reporter, I was saying Writer at the screen!
He's a good player but he seems to get rather sad and anxious if he's not winning. To a noticeable extent. I wonder if he has anxiety or some psychological issue? I know he was abused by his mother, which kind of made his utterly compelling performance in Psycho more resonant, and from personal experience I know how it can affect your being.

At 20:11, you can see him bury his face in his hands like he's very disappointed he didn't get it right, and also in his tone, he sounded a little down as well. The presenter kept saying 'Don't Worry' like he was trying to reassure him so that he wouldn't get frustrated and upset, and Anthony kept saying 'No' oved and over again. I suppose as well being on a game show where you are meant to ideally be enjoying yourself, it would be pressuring with an audience watching as well. I hope Anthony was a little more relaxed in the other rounds he participated in because I suppose whilst there is pressure, it's about trying to have fun and enjoying yourself.

For anyone wondering why a contestant might be that excited over $800, to put it into perspective, $800 in 1962 is about $6,837.48 in 2020 :-) Even now you could buy a couple very nice dresses for that. :-))

I'm usually making comments, giving alternate clues (I like to think. usually better) to some words that are just not guessed quickly. For "Shed" I would say it was a real faux pas on both of the contestants to not do, as a Ludden so many times reiterates: ADD UP THE CLUES! :-)
