Yes serving parents who gave birth to us is our primary duty.leaving them to fend for them selves in their old age and taking Sanyas and preaching other people is foolishness. One has to complete ones duty and responsibilities .

I have 3 sons. 2 sons are married. No support of any kind from both. I did my part , holding on to them in a bitter divorce . When they grow up n have their own family, I am not wanted. Sad. But my blessings are with them. They have their reasons for not being there for me. I never sigh at their negligence . Happy to say, my youngest is always there for me. I am 67 years. I feel blessed , at least 1 son is beside me. Yesterday was Mother's Day , I asked my son, what do you like the most abt me, he was lost of words. He said, "You are undecribable ma" you are the world to me" . There is nothing lack in you. The Best Best Mother in the world. Love you Mum".
I live to hear him say these words. Krishna is kind to me.
Lots of love to All from Singapore.

I was always rude and very bad kid . I was in medical school and I was very busy with my studies and work . I used to yell at my mom almost everyday . Especially before exams and when ever I get stressed .I was worse possible person to be with but my mother never complained or scolded me for my behaviour . She used to ask me to eat every now and then and cared whether I’m alright or not . In 2013 right before my med school graduation , my mom fell sick and she passed away. I couldn’t believe my eyes that she won’t come back home with me from hospital and she will no longer talk to me and I can no longer hold her . For years together even now I’m burdened with guilt that I would have atleast behaved properly with her . I feel without her nothing is important even this medical degree. She was precious unconditional love in my life which I didn’t realise when she was around me and I took her for granted that she won’t go any where. After she passed away I realised that parents are wonderful gift and they stay with us for very short time . I changed my behaviour and learned my lesson. It’s been 6 years and 4 months but I’m still carrying burden of guilt. Friends care for your parents before it’s too late . Once the time is gone and once they disappear they will never come back and they are the only people in this life time who love us unconditionally . I love you Amma. Miss you so much ...

I just can't explain what do i feel for my mother. She sacrificed a lot for us. An ordinary woman would have never thought of doing such a large thing for her children .My father is not such a strong and thoughtful man that he manage to do what other fathers do like having education for us whereas my mother did everything like taking loans and doing works for educating us in private school. I and my elder sister have done our 12th from cbse and now she is doing Bsc. And I am pursuing a noble course i.e. CA . Only one year is left for her graduation but the grievances have become intense . Now i always feel like giving up . But my mom ,still she encourages us and say 'Abhi tumlog itne me hi haar kaise maan skti ho'. Ab bas thode din aur hai

I can relate being bedridden having no one to care for me
but when someone came into my life despite seeing how I be started to care for me cook for me even fed me when I couldn't help myself help lift me up and down stairs
eventually I started to push them away cause I was becoming too dependant on them
I will burn myself while trying to help myself others thought I being lazy and using the person
    I honestly was not faking
I could of bearly walk sometimes fall down
in their absence it is very challenging to help myself
but eventually I try to get up move around
they will even ask me to come meet them which seems so impossible most times
despite being far away they indirectly try to get me out of bed
trying to help yourself helps one feel better
    physically and mentally
