It is very possible to beat a higher tier character if you are only 2 tiers apart, but, once the gap widens the possibility of beating a good player/opponent with a much lower tier character lessens.

Instant like it, I just love the Budokai gameplay mechanics.
This game has the potential to make a comeback and retain a competitive scene. Shame how it was overlooked, love the cell infinite in this game.

I thought that an infinite world tier list wouldn't exist on TH-cam because nobody's that dedicated to this game anymore, and it didn't sell well. I'm glad I found this. I'm planning on emulating this game some time. Can you please do a Budokai 3 tier list as well?
The budokai 3 tier list has been around since the game came out and it has remained pretty much the same since then, Top tiers are

Kid Buu is THE MOST BROKEN character in this game. All you need to do is hit right (or left) and then circle. You can be all the way across the screen and still hit your opponent. Next would be Android 18 and her deadly dance. Then Janemba.

Good videos, agree on everything. In b3 you only have 2 top tier charac which are goku and cell, they both are out of anybody's league

Lol are you kidding mate? Goku in 100% a top tier charac, having a fast p and kaioken which allows you to break the oponnent guard instantly, dragon fist that is easy to use with his infinites and so on. Not mentionning the x10 kame as SSJ4 which takes 1 bar down instantly... No other charac has these specifications except cell, who has a faster p, faster to get to final form (coz of the high ki bar), cannot untransform while fatigued, easy infinites and that shield special move.
Baddack has alot of easy cancel but has low ki bar which makes him difficult to use in certain situations. Heat phalanax is super strong but I don't think this is enough for him to be top tier.
I'd agree on sheron being top tier. But a good goku can destroys a shenron pretty hard.
Nah, Goku is Tier 2 but not Tier 1. Cell, Bardock and Shenron are all better characters. Low baseline ki is pretty baseless for Tier Lists since even Yamcha is higher tier in Budokai 3. There are also at least 4 other characters I can think of with faster neutral Ps than Goku who are not top tier. As far as SSJ4 goes with 10x, both Bardock and Shenron both have much better potential for damage than Goku right off the bat, without needing to transform.
Vegeta who is tied with Goku in tier is also a bit better at combos and only ends up being Tier 2 because he doesn't have a damaging physical death move like Dragon Fist or Bardock's Heat Phalanx. Not to mention 80% of the cast has a neutral P and as far as Goku's combos go, they are all pretty average in speed and damage potential. He also lacks truly useful cancel combos to easily link off anti-tc. Without his transformations (specially SSJ4) and Dragon Fist he'd probably end up in the middle of the tier list pack.
Budokai 3 tier lists have been confirmed and contested to hell and back for years now by everyone who started playing Budokai competitive years ago. Facts are facts :)
Goku is mid tier in Budokai 3 but Cell is top tier though.

I’m not gonna like my top character would be Saibman because each bar is a new character and the stun doesn’t add up plus his super allows for comebacks to not be so easily
I still refute GTV being top tier. I agreed with him being upper because of Anelia insisting that his Px4 was a top tier level near Yamcha combo starter It doesnt work without transformation though and that limits change-ups and ki building.I still dont think hes that much better than Omega Shenron and Super Buu who are equal to him in the list. Past that hes got shit damage and 3 baseline
Janemba is shit.Hes no where near upper tier and probably lower than Gohan. Hes got high baseline and hells gate otherwise his starters are mediocre and his damage low as hell. He gets crapped on by most of the cast and his priority is nothing impressive at all
Fat Buu was also massively underrated.His neutral P chains are so much faster than I expected hes got above average damage and a good baseline. Hes probably a few more points up the tier list and more consistent than a few of those above him but I found this stuf so late in the games lifespan that I never got to account for it.I was breaking some pretty serious nullifiers with him thanks to speed on his P chain by catching them late enough
@Eclipse Well combo vids are nice but I cant count the number of times ive seen guys that perfected a combo vid but in an actual match drop 10 combos and dont understand why starters and short combos fitting in under your opponents 4 bar regen time is what matters most. Its actually one of the things that gave me fits back in the day when the community was a more regular thing and I still think people dont quite grasp the sheer of practical play vs flashly vids
To be fair also I was using way to harsh a wording on Janemba being shit but he was vastly overrated from the early days when people thought just because he had a sword that it was great for starting combos like Dabura but it isnt anywhere near

The same could be said of any character, but if you are fighting him head on from front you won't last much
Underlordtico so you can't damage him unless you dodged him. That defeats his entire purpose on putting them on the top of the list you know
Zero1 ZeroLast you’re not going to dodge every hit, even if you hypothetically dodge and hit, Yamcha has invincibility frames and priority with attacks
Has DBZ games ever been played in big tournaments? I think they should re-launch the game at least in the PS3/X360 with online play.
They have been played in small tournaments but since they never got online it never caught on for a bigger competitive audience
hey tico. I was wondering how to telaport behind some one and start attacking. it seems to different in infinite world than budokai 3 where you just hold down x.
The 2 types of teleport in IW are forward + guard and backwards + guard
+Underlordtico I know that part my man. I'm talking about were you teleport behind them and instantly start a combo. I do it in b3 all the time. I can't seem to do it in infinite world.
+Underlordtico the cpu does it to repeatedly. and I know it's possible for a human to do it because I've done it by accident a couple of times. I just want to know a definite way to do it every time. do you have a video on this. because just teleporting left and right isn't cutting it. any info would be appreciated and thank you

+Underlordtico it's called "combos or teleports. which do you prefer". it has you playing as 2 omega shenrons. and both of them are teleport comboing each other. that's what I'm trying to do in infinite world
is the music for the stages the same as Budokai 3 or different?
Can someone tell me how to teleport cancel in IW? cant do it for the life of me, also any tips on approaching and starting your combos? Especially when the CPU is just holding block/dodging
