This video is GOLD. I`ve become so impressed when I saw this video that I bought a Kylo Ren from eBay ONLY to do this. Result: I have now a TRUE Darth Nihilus. Seriously, it fits soo well that I`m begining to think that Disney designs Ren having in mind the body of Nihilus (and the mask of Revan). Thank you!! Now, I only hope that Hasbro will make a Darth Sion some day...

I took the original Kylo Ren with the real long dress from The Force Awakens, modified his soft goods to make it look tattered, and it looks amazing. Only thing is that his lightsaber is so thin he cant hold it very well. I may heat that up and clamp his fingers closer together so he can hold it better.
You know what it is, the maul body nihilus looks like nihilus when he was starting as a sith and the kylo body nihilus looks like when he's finally made it as a sith master.

With mine I flipped the soft good long tunic around, made a new belt and long cape. Also swapped the forearms so he keeps his gloves. Much closer to the K2 adaption.
This may be a little old but a helpful fix that I found for his lightsaber not fitting in kylo starkillers hand by the actual grip is to use a really small black rubber band to wrap around the handle to add some more bulk to it so it's more snug of a fit it worked wonders for mine.
I put the TFA Kylo robe, on a TLJ Kylo body, then put the Nihlius head and cape on that. Makes him so much better IMO, and has the better elbow range of the TLJ version. Just need to find a Force using hand for him, and see if I can swap it. Great video!
What a fantastic idea/discovery! I bought Nihilus but now I think I going to do the head swap with the Starkiller base Kylo just like you showed because it looks 4000x better and more accurate to him as a character.. the Maul body looks sooo weird with Nihilus anyway... I usually keep my figures in their box but this may be a great exception for epic display purposes lol

I simply took off the belt and the plastic cape from the Kylo Ren figure and attached the Darth Nihilus head and cape to it. I'm thinking of adding tear/holes to his soft cape to make him further remember the actual Darth Nihilus. I think without the Kylo cape and belt, he looks ways better.
It’s possible, if you are having trouble just heat it up with a hair dryer or hot water for about 15-30 seconds. Should pop right off! Thanks for watching! -Nate

What i think looks just is if you add revans skirt and cape piece and maybe kylo rens legs it would look perfect imo. Revans cape and and skirt both have that old torn look to it. If you could somehow add revans skirt piece underneath nihilus rubber skirt piece i feel it will give that nihilus look

idk why but my star killer base kylo ren head didn't have the ball that attaches the head instead it was attached to the whole head, making the body not only broken but i couldn't put nihilus head in the thing so idk if i have the right star killer baser kylo ren yikes

I just thought I’d something better. You could swap his body with a Vader body , and there are 1/12 scale ninja clothes which are perfect for Jedi master Luke and Sith Lord figures like Nihilus. Then, you could use the cape on Vader too for Nihilus. Boom, perfect Lord Nihilus action figure. In fact you could even use the Kotobukia light up lightsabers so it can light up since Nihilus’s lightsaber is pretty damn basic anyway it could work

I love you guys to death, but considering that the middle skirt, lower skirt, and arms (added to the Maul body) were all new and accurate to the Nihlus outfit, this head swap results in a COMPLETELY inaccurate body. Of course- different strokes for different folks, but I’m more for outfit accuracy than a slight height increase that is 90% inaccurate. But as always, I really enjoyed the video. :-)
I’d have to fundamentally disagree with you there. Nihilus is shroud in a robe like costume not a tunic based costume. Kylos body brings the height and cloth goods that look much closer to the character design. Is it perfect? Absolutely not but even with the added sculpting and lower arms on the maul body it does not come close to accurately representing the character. There’s a difference between Nihilus from concept images and the one in the game. The figure is based on concept images, so it is accurate despite what these people are saying. The sculpt is also more decrepit than Maul’s and no one is pointing that out. The sculpt was very intentional on Hasbro’s part and not just a lazy reuse.

Why tho? You can just modify Kylo's legs (because the peg is slightly different) and then swap for Nihilus legs. Boom, added height. For capes, go to gpslot on ebay 🤨🤨
You do realize it’s much harder to swap legs from the figure rather than just the head? That’s a lot of boiling and poppin for no reason when the head pops off no questions asked. -Nate
i have to agree with nate, kylo and nihilus dress in a very similar and quite vague way, this body with nihilus head is not only an improvement in terms of height but it also vastly improves the overall look of nihilus giving him a lanky and menacing appearance due to the silhouette of this buck and the soft goods on it...only thing i'm worried about is the stories i keep hearing about the head of kylo being very difficult to pop off

Nah it’s not even close to being more accurate costume wise. Nihilus is tall and heavily cloaked not short and in Mauls Phantom Menace costume. And I don’t need to do extensive research to look at pictures of Nihilus to determine this. Look at his in game model or any artwork of him the Kylo outfit is much closer but continue to deny reality. I don’t mind 🤷🏻♂️

Putting Nihilus's sculpt on a very recognizable body doesn't exactly improve anything haha

Nah it’s not even close to being more accurate costume wise. Nihilus is tall and heavily cloaked not short and in Mauls Phantom Menace costume. And I don’t need to do extensive research to look at pictures of Nihilus to determine this. Look at his in game model or any artwork of him the Kylo outfit is much closer but continue to deny reality. I don’t mind 🤷🏻♂️
