Very good, but it's worse. The witch is the mother figure who is gaslighting She has the sugary facade. And as a child you play her happy game, because she needs you to believe that. Otherwise she realizes she is a bad mother, it's a narcissistic form of denial. But by believing that as a child, your real soul is neglected, i.e. burnt in the oven. The ending is shamanic, like a soul retrieval, but childhoods like that just end in the oven unfortunately.
I have never really given any thought to this fairy tale, probably last heard it when I was about five! Correct perception of the father. A show case of domineering and controling women, and unprotected, uncared for, or loved children, - plenty of those in this world. A sartirical look at parents and adults who fail, and who don't have your best intersts at heart, and who care more about themselves, rather than the gift of children that they have been previleged to be given by God. A wake up call and reminder of the sadder and evil side of human nature.

Ik heb ook een gingerbreadhouse in mijn leven. voor mij is het geld. ik geef het uit omdat ik bang ben dat ik het straks niet meer heb XD klinkt stom he. ik ben niet eens materialistische. mijn huis met alles er in verbrand. Dan ben ik okay. het is echt een impuls. komt door mijn verleden. ik moet er op vertrouwen dat het universum mij tijd kansen stuurd om aan geld te komen. als ik er maar naar zoek/open voor sta.
