Just had flashback. i was on SQ35(15 hours nonstop from LAX to SiN). It was brutal and almost 90% load factor. The cabin was extremely cold and the food was awful. Worst beef I have ate on an airplane. The eggs had no taste and the baked beans were the only thing that gave it flavor Did not get much sleep(who can sleep in an economy seat with people all around you. Next time I will take the SQ 11 and 12(this flight stops in Tokyo).
I do find the SQ economy cabin services are no better than other airlines, however, their short or medium haul services are better than others, for long haul routes, definitely consider their Business or First cabins if you're redeeming your points
We did this flight 2 weeks ago, it was brutal no leg room to speak of and when the person in front puts there seat back you cannot move. The service was ok but the food was shocking, a over heated pizza with the cheese stuck, to the lid of the box it came in, carried out in the flight attendants arms not even on a trolley. Its all about stacking in the people now to get more money.
sorry to hear that, if you have a chance to look for the seat map for that particular aircraft next time, maybe try to pick a seat that might get a bit of more leg room
I am hoping to do this flight in a few months time. My main concern is how much room there is for my under seat personal item bag so I know which bag I should choose. Is the room under the forward seat the same for aisle, window & middle seats or are they all the same?
A normal personal side handbag should fit underneath the seat, if you are worried, then choose row 69 or 70 window seat, eg. the one I have, should give you a bit of more storage space

It is a reminiscent of my previous travels to Australia, such a nice 7 1/2 hour Flight from Singapore to Brisbane one of my favorite Flights .
