Lol where do you live? African Americans mostly eat just like this. My grandma makes greens and root veggies together almost every day. Go where there are actual Americans and not an amalgamation of cuisines and you’ll get real soul food lol.

Yam is eaten widely in Northeastern parts of India. We cook them with fish/ fermented fish or with other vegetables. Loved this video..I miss my hometown where we'd eat food straight from the farm. Farm fresh vegetables cooked in mud stove tastes heavenly.

We grow lots of vegetables where I live. We grow garlic, green squash and green onion. We grow other vegetables and herbs too like cabbage, spinach, purple beets, radishes, parsley, thia basil, mint. I made for yesterday's dinner a beef dinner with green squash from the garden and garlic from the garden and green onion we got from the garden and we put salt and pepper and we got the parsley from the garden and it was so good with a side of rice. We have fresh mint growing which we used to make mint tea and it was a delicious meal.
