The Indlu concept is actually very good and benefits the land owner in the long run. Even government sometimes uses the model, it is called Puplic Private Partnership (PPP). The developer builds maintains the property for a Gov department, and the department rents for an agreed upon number of years. At the end of the term the property belongs to the department. Gautrain is a very good example of this model

Municipal rates are depended on the market value of the property and not the erf size. i.e an apartment can be 80 square meters and worth R1,2 million, and a property with an erf size of 5 000 squares valued at R200 000. The rates will be depended on the market value.

If there were only 10 voters in SA and 5 voted ANC and 5 voted opposition the ANC would have 50% and the opposition would have 50% Let’s say only 8 of the 10 voters voted. 5 voted ANC and 3 voted for the opposition. Now the ANC has 62.5% and the opposition has 37.5. The voters that didn’t vote gave the ruling party a higher voter percentage and weakened te opposition. So not voting doesn’t help anyone.

42: 30 indlu investment sounds like a viable business given proper though. It's a form of access into financial growth and learning about a market that they would otherwise have no access to. For example Panama has a canal that makes it $3 billion every year just from taxes they get for letting companies pass through their country because it saves travel time. Panama didn't have the expertise or know how, to build a canal so America built the canal and there was an agreement that after a certain amount of time the canal they built would be passed down to the actual owner of the land. Having a money making structure in their place that they couldn't afford to hire a consultant to look at the property let alone build the structure to rent. It's vital to look where you started and see where you can end up in the long term
