Brag is much more dangerous than Poker in terms of betting. Without set betting rounds and showdowns, it's easy to run out of chips if you're not careful. That said, the description of this game in _The Penguin Book of Card Games_ offers you a lifeline: covering the pot. If you run out of chips and at least two other players are still in the round, call to cover the pot and set your hand face-down on the table. Remaining players will start a new pot and settle for it. The winner of the second pot will then have a showdown with you for the old pot. If you play Brag with wild cards, any hand with wild cards is worth less than another hand of the same type with fewer wild cards regardless of the ranks of the other cards. A prial of 3, 3, W is beaten by a prial of 2, 2, 2, for example, even though a prial of 3s is normally the best hand possible.
At 2:55 shouldn't have player 3 only have put 1 chip in to match player 1's raise? Since player 1 hadn't put the initial 1 chip bet in, while player 3 already had?
@2:55 Green already had called the bet of 1, so the new bet total of 2 from White should have meant Green onlynputnin 1 more chip. But in the video you show Green adding 2 more, aka total of 3 (which would be a new raise). Or am I missing something about how being the raiser gives you a "discount"??
Well spotted .. I’d be interested for someone to clear that up . He clearly raises 1 … and then the green player bets 2 (so he’s now one up ) … in poker that feels unbalanced but he made it sound like it was balanced … I mean in this game one player bets more than the other to make them show their cards (they bet double at the end) … so the pot ends with someone having bet more so maybe it’s okay to not have balance in this game . Love someone to clear that up
You didn’t mention that I’d you play blind and everyone else folds you don’t win the pot. It stays in the middle and the blind player keeps his hand everyone re antes and the blind player is dealt a second hand and can choose to look at only one hand and fold the other or can carry on playing both blind. If he makes everyone else fold again with two blind hands the player has to fold one of the blind hands and is dealt another blind hand and then same rules apply again.
That's so much for these. Alway looking for new games for game night
Another great video Cole! =D

I think it was a mistake in the video.
