Really good looking knife . My favorite knife is the Roach belly , a French Voyer design that a blacksmith friend made for me .
I really want to thank you for letting us know about the woolrich coat ... I got one for $50 that is a perfect fit . I had one when I was a child so I bought one for my 66th birthday.
May God bless you for bringing together those that love and respect our ancestors and thier ways.

That's a great price! The value on resale will only go up. They are really sought after. I'd like to get a Filson some day just so I could compare the experience. Gotta keep saving :)

Excellent demonstration of a what appears to be a very good product. Glad to see this is being made in the cottage industry style.

Many custom knives are done by stock reduction, and in modern steels that will outperform high carbon forged blades.

The use of a 1/8" steel will make it so much better. I have one that was made with 1/4" and it is not usefull as a fine hunting knife. One thing to think about with a crown antler, they are not that great in a sheath next to your belly. I mad my first one over 25 years ago and in a belt sheath wearing just a shirt it scratched my side constantly til I ditched the antler. If you carry it loose in a dangle sheath, on your haversack or on your belt with a vest or coat protecting you. It will make you much happier.

One more advantage of a dangler I enjoy: When wearing a backpack, it allows you to wear the waist strap without the knife and sheath being in the way.

For 99% of what I use my belt knives for, I much prefer 1/8" thick blades. Your leatherwork is excellent, very impressive. I have an ESEE 6 knife I keep by the campfire for processing wood. Thus the 1/8" blades are all that's really needed.
Please consider doing another video on the belt you're selling so we can see the buckle, width, etc. I'm thinking $30 is a steal. My preferred width is 1.25". I realize a lot of belts are 1.5", however I find that small extra width to cause the belt to not be as comfortable as an 1.25" one. Of course if a person is using the belt for a holster or to hold up a tool bag, it needs to be more heavy duty.

I will! The belt I use day to day is also 1.25" wide. 😊 Thanks brother!

I have been hunting and camping all over Canada and down into the states a bit. To many people buy 500 dollar knives and 400 dollar axes and are afraid to use them. High end gear does not mean you are a better Woodsman. I have a $15 mora and a $25 hardware store 28" axe. The best tools a woodsman can own are ones he is willing to use. I'm not trying to take anything away from the craftsman who make better products, there is a very select group of people who will use and enjoy those products.

I agree 💯 I am going to make a follow-up video covering this point but in short a Ford Focus will get you from point A to B just as well as a Ford T-bird...a Ford T-bird is classy and the perceived value for vanity permits it to retain it's value longer and eventually hit a group of people who enjoy classic cars. Ford Focuses are everywhere, T-birds are harder to come by. In the end...they are both cars. I like to have "bling" that suits my esthetic, is functional, and reliable. Not everyone is going to like the feel of a deer antler handle, I find it comfortable and love having a literal symbol and piece of nature with me. Some people are not going to like the 1084 steel, I like it because of its ease of maintenance. Etc, etc, etc. The cost reflects the hand work and attention to detail Mr. Holter and I put into our work. If nothing else, itt is guaranteed for life which is a value 👌 not seen much.

I appreciate the response and enjoy your car analogy. I can also appreciate that you understand what goes into the making of the product. I carry a D.H RUSSELL Canadian belt knife. I carry it because it was designed by a Canadian for Canadian outdoorsman and made by Grohmann, a Canadian company with deep roots and good heritage. Keep up the good work.
