It is an indication of a ‘dodgy’ organisation that the EPL insists on clubs agreeing to arbitration to resolve differences rather than normal legal processes. It means the rules can bypass traditional English commercial law but also means it can all happen behind closed doors. I Am beginning to think we need an independent regulator.
My gut feeling is that wether City has actually done anything or not, the PL does not have the ability and will not be able to effectively prove anything. I think City will be cleared from most if not all charges. The UEFA case is essentially dealing with the same information and allegations which City have already defeated once. There's also a common misconception about that case and its findings being wrong because certain things were apparently time-barred. But the CAS conclusion is public and available to read and if you actually go through it you'll see that City probably have the upper hand.

Think about it… every club that has been pushed down a place in the PL since these alleged offences. Clubs have missed out on CL football, EL football and prize money. If it’s found that they have essentially cheated to achieve those league positions, there could be a tsunami of legal action from clubs who have finished beneath them.

Think about it… every club that has been pushed down a place in the PL since these alleged offences. Clubs have missed out on CL football, EL football and prize money. If it’s found that they have essentially cheated to achieve those league positions, there could be a tsunami of legal action from clubs who have finished beneath them.
