hello teacher, i just got enrolled in a new school. i noticed when i got home that the ict strand they teach is computer system servicing, im kinda worried because the other school that i was planning to go too has 2 types of ict which is computer system servicing and computer programming. can i still pursue IT in college even though i enrolled for a computer system servicing Ict and not computer programming ict in senior highschool?
You can still pursue IT actually. But enrolling in Com. Programming is better and is more aligned to programming.

I suggest mag enrol ka sa EIM over CSS kase mas related yung EIM sa ECE. 😊
Ma'am pwede ba akong kumuha ng Computer engineering or Computer Science pag nasa CSS - TVL ako ?, ICT - TVL po kasi sana ako e kaso CSS - TVL lang meron
Pwedeng pwede. Actually, yung ICT or CSS sa Senior High foundation mo yun para sa college. But naka depende rin iyon sa University na pinasukan mo, kase merong colleges na need e-align yung Senior High track and strand sa course mo sa college. Pero yung CSS related din naman yun, pwede ka parin kumuha ng Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
Can I enroll to IT for web designing after taking the Css Strand? Please I really need to know 🥺
Though this is an ICT related strand, it could also be a good foundation, I recommend you to enrol on programming related strands instead of CSS because CSS is more on hardware specially configuring servers.

hello po! i'm currently a grade 10 student but i was considering taking up ict for shs because i want to take information technology in college. someone said daw po na i should choose STEM if i need to learn more about math/the basics, and ict if gusto ko na agad matutunan yung basics as programming and to prepare for college. i am worried po sa college entrance exams since and tinatanong po doon is mostly tinuturo sa stem, so I'm not sure what i should take po. any tips po? :(
TRUE, STEM yung advise if gusto mag IT. Actually good foundation talaga ang STEM for IT. OK rin ang CSS, but CSS is more focused on Hardware and a little of Software, on the server part. Mas maganda yung ICT na strand na programming ang specialization, kaso rare lang ang schools na nag ooffer ng ganyan.

Yes. Pero meron situation na depende sa school. Meron kase schools na mas preferred nila from STEM pero I think good foundation din naman ang CSS.

Actually, depende yan sa offering ng isang school. If CSS lang yung offer. Walang programming nun.. Pero if Java NC3, .Net NC3, yun ang may programming subject.

Kung ano yung gusto ng puso mo at kaya ng utak mo. ☺️ Actually both Stem and Tvl CSS are good foundation. Mas specific lng tlaga yung CSS on Hardware and Software.

Hello! Yes, under po ng ICT strand ang CSS na specialization and YES pwedeng pwede kayo kumuha ng Comp. Eng. na course sa college, pero merong universities na preferred nila STEM galing. Kaso, in my opinion mas magandang foundation ang TVL-ICT kapag computer courses ang kukunin pag college.

Yes.. but it may also depend on your College Admission Test results. There are also schools na may standards na dapat align yung SHS strand sa kurso na kukunin, however most of the time, hindi na yan iniimpose as long as you have met all the requirements sa pinili mong course.

Though ang mga tech courses ay somewhat related lahat2, itong CSS ay more on hardware, yang Multimedia Arts more on graphic designing yan.

Pwede kang mag STEM, pwede rin ICT Programming ans ICT CSS. Para sa akin mas maganda e foundation yung ICT CSS pag gusto mo ng computer hardware courses pag college, like ECE na course.

Actually, most of the colleges/higher institutions they don't really require alignment of strands to your selected courses. Pero mostly, advantage yung HUMSS graduates for BSED courses.

Depende sa kung ano ang gusto mong field, hardware/networking or programming/software.

Iba-iba kasi ang specialization ng ICT strand.. Depende yun sa offered niyo sa school. Most schools offers CSS. Ibang course naman yung programming, kase ibang NC2 makukuha mo nun, same with Animation, ibang specialization din yan, meaning other offering and ibang NC2 ang makukuha mo.

Wala ako ererecommend na brand kase maganda naman lahat. Yung specs nalang. Hehe. Sa specs dapat yung RAM 4Gb or more. Tpos 8th Gen or up ang CPU. Mas maganda if may Graphics Card kahit 4Gb ok na yan. Maganda rin if naka M2 or SSD na ang storage mo.

Yung CHS at CSS ay iisa lang, ang CSS ay yung updated na course sa TESDA. Sa CSS may bagong competency na kailangan matutunan specially yung sa Client-Server.

CCS is Contact Center Services, magpakaiba po sila. Ang CSS ay both hardware and software.

Actually depende po yan if na offer na during Grade 9 ang pinagpatuloy sa Grade 10. Kung ganon, most likely yung topics ninyo ay more on Installing and Configuring Networks.

Java, .Net at Oracle. Ibang offering din yun. Iba yung Assessment at NC2 makukuha mo.. Itong CSS more on hardware.

Hindi mo naman talaga kailangan ng laptop, unless yung classes niyo ang online. Though advantage ang merong laptop, hindi naman ito required.

Magkaiba ang CSS and CCS. Iba yung mga competencies ng CCS sa CSS. Mas maganda sana if CSS talaga yung kinuha mo kase magandang foundation yun para sa IT.

Ang CSS na strand ay mas focus sa hardware and server management. Yung Programming, more on coding at pag create ng programs. Actually maganda naman ang dalawa. Dependi na yun sa hilig mo. Pero kung gusto mo mag IT sa college kunin mo yung Computer Programming. If gusto mo naman mag Electronics or ECE, pwede rin sayo yung CSS.

Gr 11 ako ngayon at nagtake ako ng TVL - ICT. Gusto ko pag aralan programming pero ung school ko walang programming lessons ngayong grade 11.
kasi nag apply ako shs sa school ko na private school at nung nag shs na ako ngayon ko lng nalaman na css pala ang ict namen

Wala man lang kasi sinabi school namin na ang ict nila is css lang at hindi programming. akala ko ang css is like ict na normal, dko inakala na ibang type pala ang css sa programming. Wala din ako knowledge na madami palang type ang ict like css, programming, animation etc.
Nalaman ko ito sa kaibigan ko na taga ibang school. Tinanong nya saakin kung anong ict kinuha ko if animation, css or programming kasi nong nag apply siya ng ict nagtanong ang school kung anong klaseng ict ang gusto nya. Pinili nya animation.
nagtaka ako doon at dun ko nalaman na walang tinanong na ganyan school namin.
Pero may sinabi din siya na ang ict nya ngayong gr 11 is animation pero pag gr 12 daw siya (next year) mag pro- programming sya.
So ask ko lng guys sana may makasagot...
pag nag grade 12 ba ako, css pa rin ba subject ko or magchechange ang school ko ng type ng ict? If css parin ako next year lilipat ako sa school ng kaibigan ko at mag pro-programming ako dun.

Yung CSS sa SHS. 640hours yun, so dalawang years yun kukunin, meaning Grade 11 to Grade 12 talaga ang covered. May schools din na nag-ooffer ng mix specialization, gaya ng sabi mo animation at programming, depende sa school. Pero ang CSS hindi pwede e mix sa other specialization kase 640 hours ito.

No you can't hired junior programer if your specialization in ict is CSS not ICT specialization in computer programming
True. Because CSS is more one hardware, but it could be a good foundation for ICT related courses in college, like IT. Some universities accept freshmen who took up CSS as their specialization in SHS in the IT department. Hence, they could pursue IT related courses and be hired as web developer or programmer.

Sa g11 namen same ung core sub sa ict at stem pero sa g12 magkaiba na. Halos programming at design sa ict tapos physics at calculus sa stem.

Either of the two pwede. Pero sa ICT Strand mas focus talaga ang subjects sa ICT topics.. yung stem kase, mix para sa future courses like nursing/med, engineering (kase may calculus) at science related college courses.
