    As a Celtics fan and a guy that liked what he heard in his first interview as a Celtic: let’s not give such high expectations before he’s played a game. It’s unfair to him

    This dude is legit.. been watching his tape. I cant believe this kind of talent was available in the 2nd round... Elite defender.

    I think Walsh will be a great role player ... like Aaron Gordon. I kinda noticed him at McDonald's All America game ... wasn't flashy, but made things happen ... as in college. I'm in agreement that he's going to pass a lot of people who were picked before him.

    • @charold3
      @charold3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gordon is a bit more than a role player, but I see your point. Walsh was drafted as an almost readymade role player. He works hard on n both ends. Celtics have room for optimism with him. Stevens and co. knew what they were doing by drafting him.

      I see him being something similar to Andre Iguodala

    I don't expect much from a 2nd round pick, but I do like the drafting of a guy with good size and wingspan and athleticism. The Celtics spent way too many picks on undersized guys and non athletic players that were 100% obviously at best deep bench guys. You gotta take some swings on guys who could become real players of their skills only slightly improve. If this kid shot 38% from 3 he would be a top 10 pick and that's the kind of upside you look for late in the draft with a missing skill that can easily be worked on over the years.

      Wait. I've seen your comments all over Celtics content on TH-cam for YEARS and recognized the name.
      After getting in a relationship with a girl that has BPD, I finally realize your name is BPD (mofo) - Is that correct? If so, I'd like to ask you some Q's.

    cant wait to see what he has to offer! btw i didn't see anyone else mention it but your voice has a very odd stereo effect on it, i'd probably just make it mono in the future! if you listen on headphones you'll see what i mean :) great video though

    What he will give Boston is a Team First attitude. His hustle and defense are infectious. He’s shifty. Stays out of foul trouble consistently. May not blow up the scoreboard but he is hard to take off the floor. I’m biased because I’m an Arkansas fan but he was my favorite player. He will grow on Boston fans too. The guy does all the little things that don’t show up on the Box Score. Blocking out, taking charges, tipping boards to teammates. I’m a Celtics fan now !!

    Arkansas fan here. His jumpshot is good. People are saying his a liability on offense and that’s just not true. He’s not a #1 scoring option but he should’ve been a higher % 3-point shooter. I think he lacked confidence because he would think about taking a shot for a long time. If look up his tape the shots where he ain’t thinking he makes them and usually nothing but net. Y’all got a great kid who is unselfish and wants to win. As well as being a elite defender. The weakest part of his game is ball handling. He definitely needs a lot of work there but remember this kid is young. I think he will be a great fit

    This is a great video, but it's made with the assumption he'll play significant rookie minutes on this stacked of a team in win-now mode. I don't see him getting minutes at all

    • @bpdmf2798
      @bpdmf2798 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He could if only to lessen the minutes on Tatum. The team had been in desperate need of a backup PF for like a decade and even just being able to play defense and stand in the corner could be more than any 6'8 or so player has brought of the bench in awhile. 10 minutes a game, bouncing back and forth between Walsh and Hauser in an offense/defense kinda way could work out.

    His body has paid for those hustle awards, no one has mentioned Smarts injuries of late he looks like he's in pain every game and it has started to affect is defensive entacity... I think it was time for change, I see Derrick White as the next one in line to keep that defensive identity going and Walsh as well.

    Jordan Walsh is going to be fine in the NBA. He won't be Iggy or Marcus Smart or anybody else. He's gonna be NBA Jordan Walsh. He has all the tools he needs. His shot isn't "broken" a la Rajon Rondo or Ben Simmons. You need to look at his feet and how he squares his body and how he dances on his toes into his position before he shoots the three. Everything else is just practice and polish. The NBA has no shortage of shooting coaches. I want to see him work on ball handling too because he has potential as a wing who can drive and finish or pass.

    If he could improve like Grant he will be AWESOME mainly because his ceiling would just be higher than Grant’s based on what you’d ask them to do I can see him being better coming off the 3 point line an attacking passing or shooting.

    Marcus can hit threes - can Walsh? In today's NBA a three point shot is mandatory. You could be all world in everything else - but you won't make it without the three ball.

    This is not Matisse Thybulle. Matisse’s jump shot does not have the same fluidity that Walsh’s has. Walsh was talking like he can really play on that end and is chomping at the big to show us he’s a complete player. I haven’t heard many 2nd round drafted players get a chance to speak and talk he did with Bobby Manning. Shout out bucket hat Bob.

  • @AnzwarTheGreat
    @AnzwarTheGreat ปีที่แล้ว

    Walsh said he’s an all around player and will show us during Summer League. I believe him. You just don’t have time to work on your game like that in college because of studying keeping your grades up, tests and traveling as an athlete.
