It's not Grant's fictional character, it's the writers of Succession's fictional character. That fictional character is Siobhan Roy, not Shivon. Which is why they were making fun of him, as he is friends with Siobhan Thompson from CH.
After the "True Facts about Grant" episode of this, I don't care what he does. He earned it.

Grant did it right by giving Zac the prop comedy bit of the script. I was dying when he was just staring daggers at the bowl getting progressively filled with whipped cream
And the shake for the second pour. I hadn't broken once up until then, but I fckin lost it there

The only way it could have been better is if Zac had silently stared at the camera the whole time he was eating the whipped cream.

@@AxxLAfriku That's probably one of the worst ideas ever. Even if you become successful (which is still a long, long, long, long shot), how long do you think your career will last? Into your 40s? Definitely not, not even your 30s. So if you forgo any kind of education, you'd have to earn a lifetime's worth of money in 10-20 years. That means pulling in 10-20k every month for which you'd have to be not only good but also insanely lucky. And if you fail, you've ruined your entire life. It's like playing Russian roulette, but with 999,999 bullets in a million chambers. If you get lucky, your life will be of about the same quality as if you hadn't played and if you get unlucky, you're fucked.
Zac is an amazing straight-man. It always makes me laugh in dimension 20 and his skits.
The two things I thin Zac Oyama is unparalleled at are physical comedy and playing earnest characters.
It was truly impressive. So deadpan, like "this is normal" 😂
The way Brennan casually yet threateningly breaks the 4th wall with "if anyone tries to move past this bit, I will flip out in real life" had me in stitches
I thought it was from the teleprompter, coming from Grant. It seemed Grant wanted the bit to play.

@@bigbadgammagnome He absolutely was, Brennan clearly says at 5:33 right before the quote "It currently says on our screens", implying that it's on the teleprompter. My guess is that grant added it mid production. We know he was there, he appears during the episode. My best guess as to why is wasn't on the bottom is because it was potentially not added to the script the editing team got, or because it was grant speaking in first person and not proper stage direction or lines for the actors.

Came here to check this. Her name is spelled the proper way just considering she goes by Shiv it would be a little weird to spell it Siobh. Though I guess you get Niamh as a common name.

i looked it up and it seems it's spelled siobhan when it's her real name and shiv when it's her nickname. considering nicknames dont even have to be based on your real name it's not really a problem if it's spelled different than your real name @@Mammutidae

@@gonzaloamador7530 I think they're referencing Zac's final (or second-final) sketch where he'd been wrongly framed for shitting so hard he destroyed the bathroom (and that's what everyone in the subsequent sketches remembers as his last actions at collegehumor).
So if he _is_ very lactose-intolerant, he might _actually_ destroy the washroom for real this time around. I think that's what they're trying to get at.

I really appreciate how many different comedic styles and gifts this crew puts together. Zac's physical comedy and laconic timing is unreal, and it is very different from, say, Brennan's ability to just go off on any topic for an extended period without losing the thread or his commitment to the bit, and the combination of those together makes for amazing banter, setup/punchline structures, surprise interjections, facial cues that just have to make you laugh... I'm prolly gonna have to get a dropout subscription lol
I just love how Trapp looks around sometimes. He's like the one guy constantly checking whether his jokes land, but he's also actually funny. And he does it even when he didn't say anything. There's just something so precious to that

First it was spelled Shivon and then it was spelled Soibahn, I think Grant just didn't want to admit he a) can't make up his mind and b) didn't check his copy close enough
