for someone that started rollerblading 20yrs ago, but havent done so in the last years, I want to go back to aggressive (I already have powerslide zoom100) and since I dont have much free time I want something budget-Im between razors cult or usd sway 60? Back in the day I loved my Lievanos 2s.
I have have been a skateboarder since 1998 and just recently in my mid 30’s have I really come to appreciate aggressive skating and I must say I’m stoked on getting my brand new 909’s tmrrw, can’t wait to try em out.
Dude I feel that. I’m very happy and comfortable in my roces 5th elements. Perfect size and I don’t get cramps or blisters. But I’m super curious to see how the Them 909 feels. I have a wide foot so idk what’s the size comparison between the 5th elements and Them.
Interesting video to gauge peoples interest, but i think a lot of people wouldve put skates they want to try and win, rather than their favourite skates? Might have been better off offering a Loco voucher?

You are still around here?! I bought my valo jjs 1 allmost 20 years ago from you!!! You haved to ship them to germany. As they arrived, they were 1 size to small. I got a one size bigger innershoe and it fits. Btw. Still riding the valo jjs 1 in hemp
Do you think Them has done more/better marketing than anyone else and that's why it's so high on lists for people that haven't even skated it? Does it really skate better? Do you really have more control with that backslide plate? Is it really better value than other skates? Why did you use the Rode Wireless GO II in this video but used a lavalier lapel mic in the last video? Was the lavalier lapel mic in the other video connected to the Wireless GO II off screen? Just asking because I think the audio of your videos is always really good.
Imo it just works. Light, slides nice, flex just works. I think it’s flawed (hardware needs loctite and the sizing could do with more shell sizes) but if they work for you they feel good.
The UFS system nr. 1 The Boot mold and flex nr. 2 The Solid plastic matrial and lace system. nr. 3 The Soul-Plates Version 3.0 - Smooth and easy to lock. nr. 4 The brand it self for me and my self-confidence boost from 1 to 80% compared to the Aeon 60 USD when i got my 909 Pat Ridder ( If u want to hurt your self, go get them ) Good with both Stock or intuition liner - I upgraded mine with the new "Skate Premium" perfect fit for me, but the intuition liner for 909 "Pro" version is nice too! makes it feel so much damn better! My setup right now is : Them 909 Pat Ridder - Jon Fromm 50/50 "L" - Them wheels 59mm 90a - Them Laces waxed white.
Not surprising the 909 took it. I think that says probably more about the brand and it’s positive influence on skating in the 202X period than the product itself (which is a great product, no doubt) I think people value the culture as much as anything else and Thems focus on videos, collaborations, constant small improvements (listening!) rider royalties, their shop, reaching into wider culture etc is so refreshing and valuable.

I'm trying to buy my first pair. I'm torn between Them 909, Roces Fifth Element, or Mesmer Thrones. Anyone ride these skates and have insight? I've watched so many TH-cam reviews, and all I know is that all of these skates are great, so that doesn't really help me decide lol!
Hi! Im currently on roces fifth elements and they’re amazing if you have a wide foot(My foot is 120mm wide). I’m a size 9US and I got a size 9 boot and they fit like a glove. Literally my perfect size. Great skates and even though I have ftl3 on them rn the stock roces frame is a really great frame as well that I still use sometimes. Im curious to see if the Them 909s fit similar to the fifth elements.

I want to buy a new pair of aggressive skates. I had a pair of blue and black razor cults from like 10 years ago and I liked those I took a break from skating for a long time so I’m new at it again. I finally got my makio stalled again and if I keep it up and keep skating like I do I want a new pair. Any suggestions? I want something fairly light and Them 909s seem bulky. I like my powerslide one 80s for a freestyle/urban skate. I also want a skate with a nice soul plate nothing too big but a nice soul plate. I’m thinking about some USDs aeon 60s or some Razor SL Henderson. What do y’all think?
I wouldn't describe the THEM 909's as bulky, although it will depend on your size. Roces M12 are slender (again, size dependant, they are more bulky from size UK10 up). The least bulky skate is probably a USD Carbon or an Iqon AG10 or AG20 (available next week). Aeon 60 is a really good option if you don't want to spend that much, really light... the Henderson is a little wider and heavier than the Aeon.

I’m thinking about the Thems Pat Ridders since everyone is raving about them and the liner looks so comfy. They also looks like the type of skate I’d like it’s just on reddit someone said they were bulky so I was worried on it but since I’m a smaller size I think I’ll be good. Will definitely be buying from y’all. I love your videos and really appreciate the contribution y’all make to the skating community. I wish I had a skate shop close to me sadly in the Midwest of the US there isn’t much for aggressive skaters 😂
Razors all day long the have been brilliant from they have released and my favorite razors would be the murda's but that was closely followed by the original Roces 5th elements black n red
I had the murda 2s and they were a great skate overall but found them a bit heavy and there was an uncomfortable spot on the tongue for me. I was never fully happy with them. The SLs though we're perfect for me.
Not surpring that people want to be under THEMSs 🥜.. also how can you determine that Mesmer is a good a skate when only a hand fool of people got them.. Also how is Aeons up on the list when it's the 1 on bladatrade for resell... Jesus people don't make sense...
A lot of people sell them on blade trade when they fancy a frame swap or try anti rocker. Kinda stuck with Aeons and if you're like me and like to swap it up, you'd sell them too at some point

They're really great. People seem to be generally preferring plastic based skates at the moment (rather than Carbon Fiber). Could also be related to the fact that the Carbon Skate is more expensive, so less people buy.
Them 909 nr. 1 makes sens.. USD Aeon 60 nr. 2 ? What in the hell?! This should be way in the bottom.. haha what, i'm my opinion it's overall bad and should not be recommended over Roces, Adapt and Razor 😳

Probably going to buy the FM4 Gawds. I almost bought them 10 years ago when USD made them.

Its a hype partly due to good marketing.. the skates are bulky and heavy tbh. Not even individual shell sizing for that price??

All my votes were for skates I have ridden at some point. As an early buyer of the FR I believe them to be well placed from my early impressions.

Probably because the aeon is one of the best selling skates so there are a lot around 🤦🏻♂️

Yeah, I love USD carbons. The look, the materials they are just so fucking cool, but I never liked skating them, they were too light and flimsy.
