And those who aren't... very few can land them consistently, on top of that you'll notice alot of people who rely heavily on certain combos and setups are actually awful at the games when playing against other people as they lack the reactions and/or inherent game knowledge. Also a few of the combo video people do enter tournaments, but rarely do that well.
To elaborate further, being able to do good combos doesn't mean you're a good player either. Combos are the very last thing to practice in a fighting game because you can have the best combos ever but if you don't know how to outplay another person, you won't win. People struggle with this in UMVC3. they can do TOD's offline but can't get a hit in online because they don't know how to play offensively or defensively.
@superiorintellectual At least Tatsunoko vs Crapcom had that guard crush/giga crash (some kind of name like that) thing where they could sacrifice two bars to end a combo right then and there.
How come combomakers never participate in tournaments? The way i look at it, these guys have sick skills with speed probably faster than most of the top players. Am I wrong or all these combos are tool assisted?
