    The reason we say it is single action only is because it does not have a de-cocker. To fire double action you can drop the trigger manually but we see this trigger used predominantly as single action where as the p01 can easily be used as both. This was a misspoken statement but i think it is relevant as it elaborates on a key difference.

      You are digging the hole deeper. What you have is a shadow 2 OR. It is single and double action. The same as the shadow 1. You can convert both to a single action.

      S2 is DA/SA. Of which you said the S2 was SAO. You said “the core function of the S2 as SAO and P01 as DA/SA” is just incorrect. Hard to watch and trust the rest of the video when it starts off with gross misinformation. Redo the video and be correct, not sure what else you were wrong on, stopped watching after the first couple of minutes.

    I have both, the P01 was purchased from CZ Custom and the trigger work that was done by the custom shop is actually better than the stock Shadow 2. Both double and single action. They’re very close but there is a noticeably smoother action with the P01. It also came with excellent night sights. Love both of them. These are great guns

    While you say the "core" function of the CZ Shadow 2 compact is single-action, that may be misleading or confusing to some since its a true SA/DA.

    • @homerholland6050
      @homerholland6050 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I understand and agree with you but most "true" DA/SA utilize a de-cocker since it's only the real safe/legit way to a put a firearm into DA. I see why he kept calling it a SA firearm because it's kind of how CZ designed it. They built in a DA in case of a light primer strike you wouldn't have to manipulate the slide to eject and chamber a new round. Much faster in competition. To put a Shadow 2 in DA is quite unsafe. Seen long time Shadow owners ND at ranges putting their firearm into DA. 🤷

    • @WTGBalla
      @WTGBalla 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you learn how to decock the gun it can be totally safe. You don’t thumb the hammer and let it down. You literally put your thumb between the hammer and the slide, pull down on the hammer will pulling the trigger and then you slowly roll your finger out from in between the hammer and slide and it will go to half cock. Just a little practice and it’s incredibly easy to do.

    Good review, and thank you for being honest about the bias towards strikers. DA/SA's aren't for everyone but I'd say actually commit (1K-2K rounds with a few hours worth of Dry Fire) to training with one, and you will see the way. The DA is one trigger pull, that rewards you with beautiful SA pulls until you decock it. Many people get hung up over it for some reason. DA's will exacerbate the flinch/ or heeling impulse for everyone, and because you have to learn how to "Roll that DA straight to the rear" then press for SA. DA/SA to me honestly makes training really fun.

      So revolvers and 1911s its been proven these guns are just fine. Some guy on youtube took his shadow and beat the hammer while fully down with a mallet. And when i say beat, i dont mean love taps. Zero primer strikes. He then put an extended firing pin in and thats when it hit the primer. When guns are designed certain ways, they dont always need a firing pin block. The fs shadow 2 has been used in competitions for over a decade and they also have no firing pin blocks and those guns see more abuse than joe blow’s carry gun
