      Danny Cares record, when he starts against the top teams has been abysmal. He goes quiet and into his shell. Great club player though and that’s the difference in mindset between those who can make the leap. Please check his stats as a starter for England against top 5 teams when he was playing. Goes missing in action

  • @grahamholliday9962
    @grahamholliday9962 ปีที่แล้ว

    Watching these insights I try to pick up clues as to how both Spencer & Mitchell get dropped whilst Youngs JVP & Care do get picked Yoda left England a truly skewed group with far too little cover at pivotal positions of 2 8 and 9. No one on evidence of 6N &Premiership would choose the Leicester 9's oh apart from their former coach & his 2 Tiggs lieutenants. Ewels looks like he must be next forwards coach on the block does speak 'coachies' well, a bit like Blunderwick short of top test class but an excellent player and def. a better speaker than SB.

    • @mikegray8776
      @mikegray8776 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I actually think this (eventual) squad could have the beginnings of a renaissance about it. (Genge, Mercer, Willis, Earl, Mitchell, Lawrence, Kelly, Murley & Arundell, around a rejuvenated Farrell, Itoje, Lawes, Tuilagi, Steward & Watson)
      The bigger question is whether Borthers can inspire them to over-achieve. The impressive Sinfield apart, it does seem as though the coaching staff is mostly “nice guys” rather than motivational performance gurus. I hope I’m wrong.

    • @barrylongstaff2816
      @barrylongstaff2816 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@mikegray8776 yeah I like Sinfield in there. A mixture of a conservative Borthwick and too average in too many positions has me kind of resigned to mediocrity for the foreseeable. That said I’ll back the lads 💯

    • @graytoby1
      @graytoby1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The squad and management reek of mundane and middle of the road rugby. Don't see anything inspirational sadly. Has Borthwick ever managed an international team before? Obviously backing them but I see them getting out the group maybe then losing very early on in the knock out stages. And it will be back to the drawing board.
      Should have let Eddie have one last crack of the whip with England and Owen Farrell as captain. They came so close last time and that burning desire because of pervious failure would have helped immensely.
      We'll see what happens
      Edit: should get rid of those shite umbro shirts too

    Sorry, but the fact you haven’t included Adam Radwan, the greatest England wing prospect since Jason Robinson, says it all . None of the wingers that you have picked have the energy and speed of Radwan. Where are the game breakers, the playmakers, people who can give defences nightmares. This team is flatfooted and has no game breakers. Radwan’s highlights reel alone gets him a seat on the plane with these plodders and don’t mention bs defence stats, he’s up there with the best. As ZinZan Brook said, “if Adam Radwan was in NZ, he’d be an all black’…..enough said.

      I don't get this increasing trend of targeting certain players incessantly for abuse publicly; see Harry Maguire in football for the most egregious example. Its a form of bullying. Ewels isn't there for his flamboyant persona and sparkling wit; he's a professional sportsman. There's such a reflexive ease to abusing players like this when they're simply flawed human beings who's job has a higher profile.
