Fun Fact: The only three categories that didn't change at all since 2023 is Boon perks, Stealth perks and Endgame perks! Also, I decided to go with something more unique with the Thumbnail just to make this video different compared to my 2023 one. The renders were done by the amazing B.EMO, you should check them out! -----> twitter.com/B_EMOsRenders The Killer edition of this video got a lot of support, so here is an updated version of the BEST and WORST video for Survivor perks! My opinion has changed a lot, the meta has changed as well, and I have decided to divide the perks in 3 extra categories just to make it more clean and allow perks that I think are fantastic into the spotlight! This time, instead of talking about No Mither, I only talk about Weaving Spiders as the "Meme" perk, even tho it's not considered one. My opinion is the exact same as it was before
Gonna post some bad perk buff Ideas here. Chemical Trap - No more time limit, trap stays permanently until the pallet is broken. Autodidact - When healing without a med-kit, gain 10% increased skill check odds. Skill checks no longer have a great success zone, and hitting them will grant a stackable token, up to 3/4/5 tokens. When healing another player, you're progress is reduced by 25% when hitting a skill check, but the progress increases by 15% per token, up to 50%. (increased odds of getting a skill check, and you can gain tokens by self-healing with Self-Care/Strength in Shadows, but do not benefit from the effects of the perk.) Soul Guard - (Added) Cleansing a totem will grant you 1 recovery token, up to 5 tokens can be stacked. For each token you have, increases recovery speed by 10%. Fully recovering from the dying state will consume 1 token. Boon: Dark Theory - Needs to be at least 3/4/5%. It's a BOON, the killer can just go stomp it. Friendly Competition - Buff it to 6/8/10%, and make it last until a generator is completed by the player buffed. (doesn't stack with itself anymore) Quick Gambit - 6/8/10% repair speed boost to other survivors while you're being chased. (no range limit) Blood Rush - Activates after each hook, no longer requires you to be healthy, but will inflict self-curing deep wounds if injured. (doubles usage of an already bad perk, and doubles chance to use it. It doesn't full heal you if you're injured, but it cannot be used in deep wounds, so you'll have to mend first if you are in deep wounds from the killer hitting you with endurance) Visionary - Gen aura reading is upped to 64 meters, cooldown is removed. Spine Chill - Remove line of sight requirement. (simple, I know, but they will not return the vault speed buff, so...) Invocation: Weaving Spider - Reduce the time it takes to Invocate to 100/90/80 seconds. Broken status effect lasts for 180/150/120 seconds. Appraisal - (I personally think it's fine, but..) Grants the ability to rummage an opened chest. (limited by the number of chests in the game, not tokens, once per chest per player) Guarantees an Uncommon/Rare/Very Rare Item or better will appear. Increases Chest opening and rummaging speed by 100%. (Given they shadow nerfed Pharmacy to only activate PERIOD while injured, I don't run it anymore.) Solidarity - While injured, this perk activates. Healing other's grants you a 50% return on your heal progress. Each time you heal another player, gain 1 token, up to 2 tokens. For each token, your return is increased by 15/20/25%. (this means if you heal 2 other people at Tier 2, you will have a 1-1 heal return. Healing others will heal you fully.) Corrective Action - When performing an action, all players performing the same action (ex. working gens or healing) will receive skill checks with no miss zone. You receive 50% more skill checks, and the success zone is reduced by 30/20/10%. (this will enable a map wide buff to others while making it a bit harder for you in return) Calm Spirit - (Removed) Increases chest and totem action speeds by 50/40/30%. (I agree with wigglemaster5202, Low Profile is not the worst, because it activates when you're the last player standing, not alive. activates when the everyone else is slugged too. So I just removed the penalty to action speeds while working chests and totems.) Boil Over - Increases the effects of wiggling by 75%. Blocks hook auras within 24m. When the killer drops off any elevation, you gain 15% wiggle progression. (increased the range of aura blocks and made it less oppressive with flip flop, while also making it stronger if they instantly pick.) Teamwork - (Removed) The perk deactivates when leaving a 12m range of the other affected player. The perk goes on a 180/160/140 cooldown. (Kept) The perks effects deactivate when injured. (Given how bad BOTH of these perks are, they don't need a cooldown, and I made it's effects linger so long as you don't get hit. It's not stackable, so you can only use it on 1 player at a time.) Red Herring - Coming within 4m of a generator will tag it with Red Herring. When crouching, press the Active Ability 2 to activate the perk. (No need to make you work on it, and entering a locker is time wasted.) Left Behind - When you're the last survivor remaining, reveals the hatch aura to you. (no more range) (New) Grants the ability to pick the hatch lock at 50% the normal unlock speed. (Makes the perk have more effect in the event the killer gets the hatch first, and you don't have a key.) No Mither - Start the trial healthy. When injured, gain the broken status effect. While Injured, you drop no blood (counters Oni), your grunts of pain are completely suppressed (100% always, Stridor cannot counter it), and your scratch marks are 30/40/50% less vibrant. when in the dying state, you leave no blood, your grunts are completely suppressed, you can recover completely from the dying state & at a 50% faster rate, and your aura is blocked from the killer. (If this sounds too broken, it could make you start Broken still) Edit: Adding more perks as the video goes.
I feel like Blast Mine should have an effect where if the gen is damaged via: Eruption, Surge, Pain Res, or any other perk that has the killer in-directly damage a gen, the bomb should go off and blind anyone on or near the generator.
Its so wild to me how Windows went from being "this is a worthless perk, it's fine for new players but it's useless the rest of the time" to "this is literally one of the best perks in the game". Nothing even changed with it, its still the same perk that I was seeing at the bottom of tier lists two years ago, people just slept on it hard.
Fun fact: It’s extremely rare, but sometimes comp teams will use Visionary in order to quickly find and callout gens in maps like Lery’s where it’s an RNG fest
Is it still not better to just have 1 guy run Deja Vu? It might not reveal any gen, but it reveals the three most important, immediately at any range, and it also has a repair speed bonus
I posit Bond is the best info perk with Windows a very close second _I run both._ There is so much info that can be deduced from Bond, it's bonkers Killers, survivors use a lot of aura-reading abilities, don't sleep on Blindness. Depriving the opponent of information is always advantageous
Blindness is actually solid now that the most used perk is aura based, the thing is that for most players, they want active benefits rather than passive benefits. Like, when does a killer know they got value from blindness? It's hard to deduce, but exposed is direct, so everyone takes exposed addons instead of the blindness ones despite how easy most of them are to apply!
@@MintSkull same for Oblivious! I've been having a blast with Oblivious/Undetectable builds. They're just something you have to trust is working, you don't really see the effect until you catch a survivor unaware _Unforeseen_ could use a longer cooldown, and or deactivate when injuring a survivor
Another strength to Blast Mine is that it's the only blindness perk (flash bang, champion of Light, Residual manifest) that isn't countered by Lightborn. Although the actual blindness visual isn't applied, the stun is identical.
It has a slight backlash with lightborn though. It'll still trigger lightborn's aura read on you for attempting to blind the killer. But given the (I think) 6 second stun it makes the killer have 4 seconds (6 if they have Lethal) to look for your aura. But I admit I have found several survivors across the map because of it after they left a mine and ran far away before I kicked it.
Weaving Spiders could be fixed fairly easily. Spending 2 minutes in a very dangerous spot, making a prolonged sfx (I don't know if Killer can hear it, never had someone use it against me, but I assume they can as survivors can hear it) is already negative enough for a once per match perk, it does not need the broken effect, especially a perma broken effect. If they wanted to keep the perma-broken, it should be something like 20 charges to all gens. The few times I've seen this actually work in a match on survivor, we used it to pop multiple gens at once or break a 3 gen easier
Honestly, this was great, you can really see the effort and time you put into this video, and in my opinion, it was all worth it! Even the timestamps are beyond perfect!
niche perks are like the crack of dbd, sure they're usually bad and getting their value can sometimes mean intentionally gimping yourself, but that value is addictive when you do get it. A build I've loved running lately is deadline/no mither/hyperfocus/autodidact for a very high risk high reward gen/support build
Exactly this! I run a, "Run Away and Hide" build, using lithe to escape and fixated to stash myself away like a Scooby Doo scene. However, I just randomly threw on Flip Flop, expressly because it doesn't fit in the build and it's REALLY funny when it works, even FUNNIER when the killer goes, "Why the fuck do you have Flip Flop in that build?"
i play Detective's Hunch, Stake Out, Fogwise, and Hyperfocus. i just need to replace Detective's Hunch with Fast Track when i get it, and i am the most repair focused survivor on any team. now if only i could loop properly (killer main).
i agree with basically everything but i still think sprint burst is better than lithe, just because it has more utility. you can stay on gens in a deadzone longer because you can get away for free, you can use it to go in for save with a proxy camping/camping killer without being reliant on a window, you can bait swings if you're trying to take hits, if you're being tunneled it'll give you a massive headstart right off hook (again, without being reliant on a window), and if you know how to 99 it and when to walk when looping you can use it as a traversal perk as well. i think it's only bad when new players use it and do feel like they need to walk everywhere
I always thought with Felix being an architect, Visionary should have something to do with maps and/or blueprints rather than generators. Perhaps seeing the layout of the map during a trial, or seeing the outline of the basement, killer shack or main building as a few ideas, I don't know. It'd still be a niche perk, but better than what it is currently.
Fog wise if used right may be just as good as kindred, as much as it is selfish it is op because pretty much anytime ur on a gen you get to see auras if u hit your greats which is rewarding, u can pair it with deadline and hyper focus with stake out and the amount of value you will get is insane.
Ill be honest, theres nothing wrong with selfish perks. If youre running a SWF or even just a two or thrre man ot drosnt matter, and if its solo then wave your arm and run if it comes to that, otherwise msot other perks wouldnt help your teamate anyway
12:25 gladly. small game is the worst information perk. I use this perk for my build which is revolved around boons which comes to problem number one. Small game is generally useless unless the killer is running a hex or you’re running a boon or that one Nancy perk. number two it’s usage, small game really doesn’t tell you much. The sound isn’t really helpful since it’s gonna be a lot where you’re supposed to it’s just a sound it’s meant for beginners but beginners aren’t gonna have a boon or the Nancy perk and you’re gonna need at least a basic knowledge of where they are and aren’t gonna know unless you’re a pro that already knows the hex which then you already know where it is so you don’t need it this is coming from a beginner. which if a perk meant a target audience and the perk is not useful for the target audience it’s bad. It is bad visionary could at least get you at a gen faster small game is just SHIT.
Small game still serves a purpose which can only be "fixed" with knowledge (Same problem as Visionary) and you yourself mentioned that it can be combined with certain builds. Visionary is completely irrelevant, and the worst part is that Small Game is free, Visionary is not free for a beginner unless they get Felix or get lucky in the shrine, by which point just run Deja Vu!
for solo queue, teammates struggle to get gens on indoor maps, because they can't find them, an idea i had for reworking visionary is to lose the unnecessary cooldown, and let the perk affect your teammates. if affecting teammates with no restrictions is dumb maybe make it so they can see gens if they're not within 32 meters of you
red herring is actually fun and silly with a flashlight focused build like champion of light and blast mine, it isnt terrible but if you want to see the killer in shambles for a bit run that build lmao
I think Chrmical Trap should be higher. The fact that you FORCE the killer to NOT to break the pallet is crucial to me, as with this one thing, i can create mini-infinite loop where the killer has to break the pallet to catch me, and if he does, i will be able to make distance.
It’s Good For People That Know How To Loop . They Have To Know When It’s Okay To Vault And When To Just Run Around . Seems Like Common Sense But I’ve Seen People Vault When The Killer Is Doubling Back Before The Surv Has Even Reached The Pallet
no but this is so true!!! i’ve been running chem trap, any means, lithe and adrenaline and it’s so fun to drop a pallet while i know the killer is distracted, trap it, reset it and then drop it in chase because either the killer wont notice it and break the pallet and i can run away with lithe or they will notice it, not break the pallet and i’ll get the forever loop
Great video. I do in fact go into a match thinking the other survivors are trash unless I get proven wrong. That's why I always run Wake Up and Sole Survivor: Let the trash get sacrificed, open the Exit in 12 seconds, dance for the Killer and escape. Works most of the time
I think Aftercare is a solid perk for aura, since it supports altruism and keeping the team healthy, you can see them and they can see you if they need heals, you can deduce who's getting chased which tells you where the killer is, you can see where survivors are doing gens, and so much more
Solidarity CAN heal you completely, just only when you heal 2 survivors. it also ignores mangled and hemorrage (while healing the other survivor). there are some great builds with it (like autodiadact) but i do only use it on builds where i do more of a "im going to be healing come to me" build
I wanna shout out “Strength In Shadows” as probably the second best self heal perk, it gives some pretty decent info, and also lets you self heal pretty quickly, Botany/SiS lets you heal faster than somebody could heal you, the basement issue is only sort of a flaw, because you should always know where the basement is and depending on the map it shouldn’t be far away.
Weaving spiders is super situational. Bring a BNP, this perk and maybe Specialist and you can knock an absurd number of charges off a gen. But doing that means you are dedicating your entire build to breaking a 3-gen situation, which is what this perks excels at. If the killer doesn't bother with this strategy, you don't have a build for this game. The problem is it has to be done in the basement, the killer instantly knows you've done it and will therefore also know where you are. You're begging to get tunneled out when you pop this.
Exactly!!! Bloodrush was so over hyped I still remember when killer mains complaining about the perk during its PTB run saying that "It's too overpowered" and such...
i always run Empathic Connection with autodidact, it shows your aura for the injured person and cuts the slow healing to 10%, i consistantly get 3+ stacks a game with this combo.
I remember when Corrective action countered a Clown's Colophobia while 2 of us where healing a survivor. 3 survivors in one place definitely wasn't ideal anyways
Soul Guard actually works really well with Unbreakable, you don’t need a hex for the endurance, so once you use unbreakable, you get free endurance when you get up!
09:50 - you can fix gens while waiting for sprint burst timer to run down 😂 or walking not in chase, while killer is stalking somebody else. Yes, you have to drop bad habit of wanking shift to use it. Among that - exhaustion is not so big of a deal when you run perk often
Thank you for saying what I have for years. Lithe is the best exhaustion perk by far. Since I have started playing I thought it was best, and especially after the DH nerf. Up to overcome every other exhaustion perk could be triggered easily by accident. Still to this day I think Feng is the best starting survivor for someone starting to play.
Ever sense the weaving spiders buff, I have liked using it in No Mither builds, because No Mither partually gets rid of the broken downside, due to the while injured buffs that No Mither gives you.
It's still weird to me that some survivors unhook when I left so I'm less than ten meters away when they unhook since I end up downing one of not both while they're healling under the hook.
If you use Visionary with Detective's Hunch and a boon perk(s), you can use the 16 second delay to bless the totem. Not a great use, but one I find kinda fun.
sprint burst encourages walking everywhere if u dont know how to use the perk properly, its actively the only exhaustion perk that allows u to use it on whim if u understand how to use it properly. After the first use of sprint burst you are meant to 99% the exhaustion meter so that in a moments notice u can recover and use this perk on a whim, granted the set up to use sprint burst properly often gets kind of muddy but its a perk that gives the player complete control over their use of the perk without having to wait for a unique prerequisite
Lithe is the best for new players but sprint burst is the best exhaustion perk overall, imo. Background player a close secobd if youre a sabo or flashlight build. SB has saved me ao many times lately now that ove bothered to learn it. Easy to get some extra percebtage on a gen and get thr killer to whiff while im on the way to a new loop. I auppose it has less chase use potential than Lithe or Dead Hard aince you use it at the start, but for me, a good start makes a good chase. If inget away unscathed at first i can run a gen kr two and thwyll go away, if they injure me thehre more apt to hang onto chase.
@@archbishopofthecrusades9579so true a good start is the means to a good chase, love SB one thing everyone forgets is it makes unsafe areas safe, some gens are sooooo dangerous to do but not to SB user
Regarding Quick Gambit - in a 4SWF this can have great value if you have communication. If you have someone running Stake Out / Hyperfocus that is competent in repairing/chase you can easily switch out and get gens done much faster with Deja also in play
Left Behind might be an horrible perk, but it still got a niche in completing one of the worse challenges in the archives, opening hatches. Because you need to have the Killer close it first, meaning you won't be hearing the hatch when close, and you can't use a map add-on to find it either since you need to hold a key. Left Behind's hatch aura is a lifesaver for this challenge. That said, you're still running a build that assumes your team will lose :V
I personally tend to run Unbreakable and Soul Guard together. Combined with Tenacity and Flip-Flop it makes a really funny anti-slug build. A few years ago when I last played I got a lot of value and laughs out of it, nowadays I haven't seen many hexes in my matches sadly. Like you said, it's really niche and doesn't work in every match but when it does it's usually so worth it lol
Visionary is bad but when I started playing I loved using it with Detective's Hunch and Circle of Healing (When you could self heal with it) and Shadow Step, you did a gen then totems were highlighted and by the time a totem was booned generators were highlighted again, it was a very comfy gameplay loop.
I somewhat disagree with Boil Over being bad - as a killer main, I'm used to being able to see hooks in a bright red color, and it can feel awfully tedious to manually check every corner for if I missed the nearest hook. I agree that it's the worst perk in that category tho.
The current version of Circle of Healing probably isn’t seen because it’s outclassed by We’ll Make It, Botany Knowledge, and medkits. CoH requires you to be in a specific place to use, while those other perks can be used anywhere. Whether its effect is ‘decent’ or not is debatable. Personally, I think Shadow Step is the best boon right now.
I have to disagree about low profile being the worst stealth perk. I understand it's usage is extremely limited, but it makes any door patrol situation way safer and that's more than poised can ever do. also the perk can activate as many times as you are the last survivor standing, meaning low profile can be used multiple times if a killer slugs for a 4k. granted that means you need to run over and pick up the slug, but the odds of that saving your life is way greater than 10 seconds of no scratch marks.
23:26 You're supposed to lose Off the Record's endurance doing a conspicuous action. From the wiki: A Survivor's Endurance is cancelled prematurely if the protected Survivor performs a Conspicuous Action. It also cannot protect a Survivor suffering from the deep wound effect
Until you hit the Exposed that is and you go instantly down on a Hatchet throw, tail attack, Virulent Bound etc etc. I do still love the perk but only use it on a generator build mainly to drop some toolkits for my teammates.
I firmly believe strength in shadows is better than plot twist. I have so many teammates get picked up off the ground with plot twist or waste 30 seconds healing themselves in the corner.
I still think Ripleys stealth perk is best. Because unless you are actively being chased.. it allows for quick repositions, and plenty of saves. Because you are literally silent while running at full health
If I were to give Autodidact a change in order to make it more useful, then I'd give it the side effect if increasing the chance to trigger skill checks while performing healing actions on others. I feel like the perk might actually be pretty amazing, maybe even meta, if given this change. As a caveat, however, the skill check success zones would be slightly smaller, and the slider would move a tad quicker. And if I were to give a change to Weaving Spiders in order to make it actually viable to some degress, I'd probably reduce the amount of time it takes to complete the invocation, remove the penalty of the progress being drained after having the invocation is interrupted, and only make the survivor that started the invocation broken for a set duration instead of for the rest of the trial. Also: I think it's kinda sad that BHVR removed the side effect of Wicked which allowed you to heal faster while cursed, but let soul guard keep its side effect tied to being cursed. I kinda hope that Wicked gets that side effect back, it fit with the perk's theme and was pretty original.
Here are my favorite and least favorite perks, by the way, if mint skull is reading this, I like your videos and appreciate your honesty Survivor: Least favorite: No Mither: do I need to say anything? This is not a meme perk, it’s just a killer perk Favorite: Dramaturgy: now This is a meme perk done right. I love running this perk and watching what happens, it’s a joke, but it’s also practical due to the speed boost. This was the reason why I started playing survivor again Killers Least favorite: hex ruin: I’m surprised that this wasn’t the worst hex perk. It counts as multiple regression events, it deactivates when you do your job, and worse of all, it doesn’t synergies with other regression perks Favorite: no way out: watch the killer version of this video for an explanation This is my personal opinion, feel free to share yours
If you run sabo resilience and spine chill you can actually sabo the hook while the killer is in the hit cooldown, but yeah that's the only time I run it
I think open handed should be the best utility perk, not any means necessary. Open handed can not only synergize with your build and extend the aura reading of your other perks (like kindred, bond and windows), it also shares the effect for all survivors! It's like your teammates have 5 perks to play with instead of 4, helping them and yourself by doing absolutely nothing other than equipping the perk (And it never goes away unless you die or escape). And even if your teammates aren't running aura reading perks, you still get value for yourself
Does Solidarity work with Jill's Resurgence? So getting unhooked + healing the other first, then in theory you should be close to 100% right? Or am I overthinking? Not that these 2 Perks would be a great combo in general and taking up Perk Slots
@@MintSkull I miss the days of every Killer running Unrelenting. "Gen Rushing" wasn't even a term back then when Survivors were *terrified* of being found. 🪝🔪
@RealYillan old unrelenting and stbfl where scary (unrelenting used to effect missed and successful basic attacks) the recovery of unrelenting with 8 stacks of stbfl was insane
*me, whose main build is Solidarity, Resurgence and Autodidact because it allows me to heal people faster and let others spend less time healing me... unless Resurgence means I got fully healed by healing the other person*
Instead of streetwise i recommend built to last with brown med kit with 8 charges and surgical suture, it will give you 3 or even 4 heals as a solo player which is insane
I think this is a good change for quick gambit let me know what you think The auras of all generators are revealed to you within 64 meters and whilst in chase While you are in chase the following effects happen: all survivors (including you) gain a speed boost of 5% to altruistic actions (unhooks and healing others) and 8% speed boost to repairing generators. For each survivor working on a generator with another survivor they gain an extra 8% speed boost to all actions (for example if there were two survivors working on one generator they would both be working at 116%. When the killer has a near miss on you with a basic or special attack you gain 5% haste for 5 seconds.

Soul Guard - (Added) Cleansing a totem will grant you 1 recovery token, up to 5 tokens can be stacked.
(doesn't stack with itself anymore)
Quick Gambit - 6/8/10% repair speed boost to other survivors while you're being chased. (no range limit)
Blood Rush - Activates after each hook, no longer requires you to be healthy, but will inflict self-curing deep wounds if injured. (doubles usage of an already bad perk, and doubles chance to use it. It doesn't full heal you if you're injured, but it cannot be used in deep wounds, so you'll have to mend first if you are in deep wounds from the killer hitting you with endurance)
Visionary - Gen aura reading is upped to 64 meters, cooldown is removed.
Spine Chill - Remove line of sight requirement. (simple, I know, but they will not return the vault speed buff, so...)
Invocation: Weaving Spider - Reduce the time it takes to Invocate to 100/90/80 seconds. Broken status effect lasts for 180/150/120 seconds.

(limited by the number of chests in the game, not tokens, once per chest per player) Guarantees an Uncommon/Rare/Very Rare Item or better will appear. Increases Chest opening and rummaging speed by 100%. (Given they shadow nerfed Pharmacy to only activate PERIOD while injured, I don't run it anymore.)
Solidarity - While injured, this perk activates. Healing other's grants you a 50% return on your heal progress. Each time you heal another player, gain 1 token, up to 2 tokens. For each token, your return is increased by 15/20/25%. (this means if you heal 2 other people at Tier 2, you will have a 1-1 heal return. Healing others will heal you fully.)
Corrective Action - When performing an action, all players performing the same action (ex. working gens or healing) will receive skill checks with no miss zone. You receive 50% more skill checks, and the success zone is reduced by 30/20/10%. (this will enable a map wide buff to others while making it a bit harder for you in return)

Boil Over - Increases the effects of wiggling by 75%. Blocks hook auras within 24m. When the killer drops off any elevation, you gain 15% wiggle progression. (increased the range of aura blocks and made it less oppressive with flip flop, while also making it stronger if they instantly pick.)
Teamwork - (Removed) The perk deactivates when leaving a 12m range of the other affected player. The perk goes on a 180/160/140 cooldown. (Kept) The perks effects deactivate when injured. (Given how bad BOTH of these perks are, they don't need a cooldown, and I made it's effects linger so long as you don't get hit. It's not stackable, so you can only use it on 1 player at a time.)
Red Herring - Coming within 4m of a generator will tag it with Red Herring. When crouching, press the Active Ability 2 to activate the perk. (No need to make you work on it, and entering a locker is time wasted.)
Left Behind - When you're the last survivor remaining, reveals the hatch aura to you. (no more range) (New) Grants the ability to pick the hatch lock at 50% the normal unlock speed. (Makes the perk have more effect in the event the killer gets the hatch first, and you don't have a key.)
No Mither - Start the trial healthy. (If this sounds too broken, it could make you start Broken still)
Edit: Adding more perks as the video goes.
I feel like Blast Mine should have an effect where if the gen is damaged via: Eruption, Surge, Pain Res, or any other perk that has the killer in-directly damage a gen, the bomb should go off and blind anyone on or near the generator.
What about Boon: Illumination? Wasn't that released 2024?
You could have just put the teamwork perks in their own category
Its so wild to me how Windows went from being "this is a worthless perk, it's fine for new players but it's useless the rest of the time" to "this is literally one of the best perks in the game". Nothing even changed with it, its still the same perk that I was seeing at the bottom of tier lists two years ago, people just slept on it hard.
It was changed slightly and that change is what seemingly helped push it forward, for whatever reason
There was a cooldown after vaulting or dropping a pallet, but after BHVR removed that cooldown, the popularity of this perk started to grow
@@PavlikGoose they also increased the range
probably because there's more maps and they got bigger? Also map reworks set back progress on learning them.
It did get changed. They removed the cooldown and increased the range.

@@mazm8536why aren't you?? 🤨
I posit Bond is the best info perk with Windows a very close second _I run both._ There is so much info that can be deduced from Bond, it's bonkers
Killers, survivors use a lot of aura-reading abilities, don't sleep on Blindness.
Bond is my favorite perk.
It is why I started with Dwight and not Meg, I don’t love sprint burst.
Most of my games don’t need adrenaline.
Especially with Open-Handed!
@@MintSkull same for Oblivious! I've been having a blast with Oblivious/Undetectable builds. They're just something you have to trust is working, you don't really see the effect until you catch a survivor unaware
_Unforeseen_ could use a longer cooldown, and or deactivate when injuring a survivor
Another strength to Blast Mine is that it's the only blindness perk (flash bang, champion of Light, Residual manifest) that isn't countered by Lightborn. Although the actual blindness visual isn't applied, the stun is identical.
Thanks. I did not know that.
It might be shit but when I ran No Mither, Resilience, Weaving Spiders and Deja Vu it was so fun to rush gens so much
Honestly, this was great, you can really see the effort and time you put into this video, and in my opinion, it was all worth it! Even the timestamps are beyond perfect!
You give an introduction, justification and an example for every perk you cover. well done video!
I'm might invest in some of them tbh!
niche perks are like the crack of dbd, sure they're usually bad and getting their value can sometimes mean intentionally gimping yourself, but that value is addictive when you do get it.
@@TF2BluSoldier honestly Flip Flop on its own is much stronger than people give it credit for
@@estlin2001 With the amount of time it's saved me, I cannot argue that. It's a blessing and is a hilarious time.

i play Detective's Hunch, Stake Out, Fogwise, and Hyperfocus. i just need to replace Detective's Hunch with Fast Track when i get it, and i am the most repair focused survivor on any team. now if only i could loop properly (killer main).
i agree with basically everything but i still think sprint burst is better than lithe, just because it has more utility. you can stay on gens in a deadzone longer because you can get away for free, you can use it to go in for save with a proxy camping/camping killer without being reliant on a window, you can bait swings if you're trying to take hits, if you're being tunneled it'll give you a massive headstart right off hook (again, without being reliant on a window), and if you know how to 99 it and when to walk when looping you can use it as a traversal perk as well. i think it's only bad when new players use it and do feel like they need to walk everywhere
I always thought with Felix being an architect, Visionary should have something to do with maps and/or blueprints rather than generators. Perhaps seeing the layout of the map during a trial, or seeing the outline of the basement, killer shack or main building as a few ideas, I don't know. It'd still be a niche perk, but better than what it is currently.
i think forcing the killer not to break the pallet with chemical trap is actually a great thing
I agree. I like running it with any means necessary so if they refuse to destroy it I can pick it back up later

Appraisal being a combo with new Lara Croft Perk to gen rush is funny
Gj with the thumbnail dude, it looks incredible
Putting solidarity instead of self care is crazy wont lie
Fog wise if used right may be just as good as kindred, as much as it is selfish it is op because pretty much anytime ur on a gen you get to see auras if u hit your greats which is rewarding, u can pair it with deadline and hyper focus with stake out and the amount of value you will get is insane.
Mint skull didn’t like deadline :(
tbh deadline and hyperfocus aren't a great combo unless u are ridiculously good at skill checks
Ill be honest, theres nothing wrong with selfish perks. If youre running a SWF or even just a two or thrre man ot drosnt matter, and if its solo then wave your arm and run if it comes to that, otherwise msot other perks wouldnt help your teamate anyway
@@GortinTime which is why i pared it with stake out
@@archbishopofthecrusades9579 this build is a lil selfish but gets the game done fast, IMO hyperfocus is one of the most slept on perks
12:25 gladly. small game is the worst information perk. I use this perk for my build which is revolved around boons which comes to
problem number one.
@@MintSkull oh that makes a bit more sense from where you’re coming from. I was thinking of like you bought everything at the start.
Nah man being able to find a devour once every 15 matches already has more value than visionary xd
for solo queue, teammates struggle to get gens on indoor maps, because they can't find them, an idea i had for reworking visionary is to lose the unnecessary cooldown, and let the perk affect your teammates. if affecting teammates with no restrictions is dumb maybe make it so they can see gens if they're not within 32 meters of you
red herring is actually fun and silly with a flashlight focused build like champion of light and blast mine, it isnt terrible but if you want to see the killer in shambles for a bit run that build lmao
I think Chrmical Trap should be higher. The fact that you FORCE the killer to NOT to break the pallet is crucial to me, as with this one thing, i can create mini-infinite loop where the killer has to break the pallet to catch me, and if he does, i will be able to make distance.
That’s actually a great idea.
It’s Good For People That Know How To Loop . They Have To Know When It’s Okay To Vault And When To Just Run Around . Seems Like Common Sense But I’ve Seen People Vault When The Killer Is Doubling Back Before The Surv Has Even Reached The Pallet
no but this is so true!!! i’ve been running chem trap, any means, lithe and adrenaline and it’s so fun to drop a pallet while i know the killer is distracted, trap it, reset it and then drop it in chase because either the killer wont notice it and break the pallet and i can run away with lithe or they will notice it, not break the pallet and i’ll get the forever loop
agree with all of this except spine chill, I’ve never taken that perk off and never will
Great video.
I do in fact go into a match thinking the other survivors are trash unless I get proven wrong.
That's why I always run Wake Up and Sole Survivor: Let the trash get sacrificed, open the Exit in 12 seconds, dance for the Killer and escape.
Works most of the time
I must say I really like the thumbnail, its sooo cute! 😊
I think Aftercare is a solid perk for aura, since it supports altruism and keeping the team healthy, you can see them and they can see you if they need heals, you can deduce who's getting chased which tells you where the killer is, you can see where survivors are doing gens, and so much more
Me needing Visionary for Hawkin’s bc I always get lost on that map 💀
Same here but I use Deja Vu.
Kindred + Open Handed (Ace)
This perk combo is excellent to counter proxy camping
Solidarity CAN heal you completely, just only when you heal 2 survivors. it also ignores mangled and hemorrage (while healing the other survivor). there are some great builds with it (like autodiadact) but i do only use it on builds where i do more of a "im going to be healing come to me" build
I wanna shout out “Strength In Shadows” as probably the second best self heal perk, it gives some pretty decent info, and also lets you self heal pretty quickly, Botany/SiS lets you heal faster than somebody could heal you, the basement issue is only sort of a flaw, because you should always know where the basement is and depending on the map it shouldn’t be far away.
when you were talking about Quick Gambit, all I could think about was Ayrun’s Bond + Overcome build from last week lmao
I just want to say I really love the thumbnail
23:19 But Borrowed Time is an Anti-Tunneling Perk too :c
21:19 Could u explain the value of lucky break? I think its pretty good
I like that you designed the support perks picture as a heart ❤
my favorite build for solo queue is windows, kindred, bond and open handed so im happy kindred isn’t getting slept on
The Knight at 1:05 might’ve been me. Do you remember the username?
Weaving spiders is super situational. Bring a BNP, this perk and maybe Specialist and you can knock an absurd number of charges off a gen.
But doing that means you are dedicating your entire build to breaking a 3-gen situation, which is what this perks excels at. If the killer doesn't bother with this strategy, you don't have a build for this game.
The problem is it has to be done in the basement, the killer instantly knows you've done it and will therefore also know where you are. You're begging to get tunneled out when you pop this.
2:50 Wouldn't No Mither be the best anti-slugging perk since it gives you unlimited self-recoveries?
Tbh every singel match i use head on, quick n quit iron will and deception this trows killers off to the next level
Yes, I run Autodidact. It helps people work on gens without looking for someone to heal them because I'm like team medic.
Your know boil over is bad when as a killer main I had no idea it hid hook auras
tysm for this!!:)
10:05 Sprint Burst would probably be great when paired with Fixated.
Great video❤
Chemical trap is amazing u just need to get the right pallet loop forcing them to break it and basically win a loop.
3:30 just fyi, that build is called "small pp build", name speaks for itself
@@archbishopofthecrusades9579so true a good start is the means to a good chase, love SB one thing everyone forgets is it makes unsafe areas safe, some gens are sooooo dangerous to do but not to SB user
why is the screen said there's no easter egg I am not using it when spine chill show up.
Was Spine Chill changed? Iirc in the past it worked if the killer was just looking in your direction withing the range
Yes. The killer has to have an unblocked line of sight to you now - so you can just see the killer any time it activates now :[
Visionary is bad but when I started playing I loved using it with Detective's Hunch and Circle of Healing (When you could self heal with it) and Shadow Step, you did a gen then totems were highlighted and by the time a totem was booned generators were highlighted again, it was a very comfy gameplay loop.
21:33 *laughs in scratched mirror myers*
I've seen visionary used in comp. for coordinated teams having one guy running it and can tell his team quickly where the next gen they can rush is.
You guys think that The Entity is listening to the Drake and Kendrick beef rn?
I somewhat disagree with Boil Over being bad - as a killer main, I'm used to being able to see hooks in a bright red color, and it can feel awfully tedious to manually check every corner for if I missed the nearest hook. I agree that it's the worst perk in that category tho.
Also because peices of shit used it in the library on rpd till they removed it
The current version of Circle of Healing probably isn’t seen because it’s outclassed by We’ll Make It, Botany Knowledge, and medkits. CoH requires you to be in a specific place to use, while those other perks can be used anywhere. Whether its effect is ‘decent’ or not is debatable. Personally, I think Shadow Step is the best boon right now.
28:40 sole survivor is WAY worse than left behind, it doesnt even really have an effect anymore now that the gens get blocked in EGC
3:32 No Soul Guard a perk from my Cheryl 💔
Solidarity ranked above self-care is wild, solidarity is good in some buids
One thing that i would like to say is that solidarity has a bugged interaction with reactive healing
It also cannot protect a Survivor suffering from the deep wound effect
you lose off the record’s endurance but you keep the silenced grunts of pain and aura block
15:55 Nah you forgot to include Nic cages Perk Dramturgy which is also really good imo
Until you hit the Exposed that is and you go instantly down on a Hatchet throw, tail attack, Virulent Bound etc etc.
I do still love the perk but only use it on a generator build mainly to drop some toolkits for my teammates.
"When you can use made for this, before the nerf."
Am I supposed to go back in time?
I firmly believe strength in shadows is better than plot twist.
I have so many teammates get picked up off the ground with plot twist or waste 30 seconds healing themselves in the corner.
I still think Ripleys stealth perk is best. Because unless you are actively being chased.. it allows for quick repositions, and plenty of saves. Because you are literally silent while running at full health
10:32 I wish you could use Blood Rush more than once a trial.
Solidarity - heals you fully when you heal another survivor but healing takes 75% longer
left behind is actully good if you finde or bring a key
But he still never answered the question from 2 years ago!
How can we make sure we get the most auric cells for our purchase?
Buff perks i think you can include Prove Thyself, cause he buffa everyone speed on generators, if i remember correctly
Here are my favorite and least favorite perks, by the way, if mint skull is reading this, I like your videos and appreciate your honesty
Survivor:
Least favorite: No Mither: do I need to say anything? This is not a meme perk, it’s just a killer perk
Favorite: Dramaturgy: now This is a meme perk done right. I love running this perk and watching what happens, it’s a joke, but it’s also practical due to the speed boost. This was the reason why I started playing survivor again
Killers
Least favorite: hex ruin: I’m surprised that this wasn’t the worst hex perk. It counts as multiple regression events, it deactivates when you do your job, and worse of all, it doesn’t synergies with other regression perks
Favorite: no way out: watch the killer version of this video for an explanation
This is my personal opinion, feel free to share yours
YES we'll make it is so underrated
The worst perk is Unbreakable considering every Killer has a quest to pick me up *IMMEDIATELY* on downing.
That's true, slugging is not as common as it was back when deerstalker was still considered a good perk. BUT when Unbreakable hits, it hits hard!
@@MintSkull I miss the days of every Killer running Unrelenting. "Gen Rushing" wasn't even a term back then when Survivors were *terrified* of being found. 🪝🔪

*me, whose main build is Solidarity, Resurgence and Autodidact because it allows me to heal people faster and let others spend less time healing me... unless Resurgence means I got fully healed by healing the other person*
i will always use autodidact for endgame value. So many games that seem lost have been saved because of me using that perk
What about friendly competition with like, Deja vu and prove thyself, and some other small increasing speed perk
As of now, we cam all agreed that potential energy is the most busted perk out of everything else
I think you should have a category focus on saves with sabotage, flashlight, flipflop, ...
Instead of streetwise i recommend built to last with brown med kit with 8 charges and surgical suture, it will give you 3 or even 4 heals as a solo player which is insane
I think this is a good change for quick gambit let me know what you think
The auras of all generators are revealed to you within 64 meters and whilst in chase
While you are in chase the following effects happen: all survivors (including you) gain a speed boost of 5% to altruistic actions (unhooks and healing others) and 8% speed boost to repairing generators. For each survivor working on a generator with another survivor they gain an extra 8% speed boost to all actions (for example if there were two survivors working on one generator they would both be working at 116%.
When the killer has a near miss on you with a basic or special attack you gain 5% haste for 5 seconds.
I feel like the devs should update all of their past perks, a lot of the uses were designed for the old version of dbd.
