I agree with everything you said. In the end, the game wasn’t about vengeance it was about forgiveness. People pissed that Ellie didn’t kill Abby in the end are basically saying they’re willing to trade Ellie’s humanity for revenge. And if you’re willing to happily watch Ellie lose the last shred of her self, then you didn’t really care about her as a character. And by extension you don’t truly understand why Joel sacrificed his humanity to save Ellie. He saved her life’s in part 1 .... and in the final scene of part 2 he saved her humanity.
Rick Pieterse I legit get annoyed by the one argument of not caring about Abby because we bonded with Joel for a Game. LOU1 was 8-10 hours long as Joel . Abbys part of LOU2 was 8-10 hours.
Abby bulked up because she was focused to take on Joel. She knew she had to get ready. That includes working out. Her group was military style so it's easy to see her bulking up. I'm x military. I have seen many women with more muscle then even I do

7:07 i get that he had it coming but he is a loved character in one of the most popular games and we waited 7 years just for him to die in 1 hour and not even die a peaceful way i honestly preferred him getting bit by a runner or clicker than getting his head bashed in.
Hey! Loved the video and your take (and I really loved the game too!!!). I just wanted to say something about Joel trusting Abby and her friends at the beginning being "out of character", which to me honestly isn't valid criticism at all. First of all, when you play as Abby in the beginning you fight infected with Joel and Tommy and defend them both, even killing an infected that was dangerously attacking Tommy. Why would they be wary of her when they are in a life or death situation and she actually actively helps them? Second, If that only doesn't convince you, in the beginning of the first game Joel and Tess follow Marlene (someone they know is a dangerous fugitive and actually don't trust from the beginning) to an unknown safehouse which may be a trap. Also, when Joel and Ellie meet Henry and Sam (two complete strangers) later in the game they follow them to another unknown safehouse and then follow their plans to meet with Henry's group at the radio tower which may also very possibly be a trap. And guess what, at one point Henry actually betrays them and leaves Joel behind, with him and Ellie being extremely lucky and not dying soon after. Then Henry and Sam save them from drowning and even though they were the ones responsible for Joel and Ellie almost dying, Joel still trusts them again and continue to the radio tower. Just like that time, in the begging of part 2 Tommy and Joel are in desperate survival circumstances, and make decisions in order to survive.
I love that there was representations of different walks of life but I didn't like the how the story was presented. I would have changed it to start with the science museum with Ellie and Joel. Then cut to Abby as a child and invest into her character growth with her dad, collecting State quarters, funeral scene promising revenge, Working out to get revenge, time with her friends/ life as a WLF, Then have an aha moment that the doctor killed at the end of The Last Of Us was her dad as she shoots Joel's leg. The handling of Joel's death could have changed to a stalemate shoot out interrupted by the infected horde. WLFs escape and because of Joel's injured leg he sacrifices himself to buy time for Ellie, Dina, Jesse, and Tommy to escape. Then continue the game as is.
I think Ellie went back to Jackson. The only way she can get past everything is trying to live on and that means going back to Dina and Tommy. If she went off on her own she’d never get past everything. That’s how I see it at least. Plus Joel would want her to go back and live her life.
Thank you! People are only looking at this game at surface level. It's like everyone's lost their ability to think and feel. It's kind of crazy how many people just still wanted to go in to it with pure brutality. The fact that they made it so tiring, physically and metally and you completely felt it all is an incredible feat. It's completely realistic. And the ending made sense to me.
Natalie Rigley I think the game was meant to set up a trilogy the economical part of my brain is worried it won’t happen because of the player reviews. But the artistic part of my brain thinks Neal said from day one the fans would be divided. But he doesn’t seem like he was concerned about pissing people off.like he doesn’t care because he know return of the Jedi is in the oven , Figuratively speaking. Been saying this for a week. Everyone loves Empire strikes back… But if return of the Jedi never came out, empire becomes one of the worst movies ever made. It’s because we got the final part of the trilogy that we could appreciate the tragic end of empire .
I fully understand where they were trying to take the game and appreciated how well made it was but the whole Abby thing wasn't executed well for me. (People bagging on her body know zip about body types and that women can be that size AND bigger 🤦♀️ i honestly was like "oh she's super buff, look at those arms!" But never thought it was weird lol) I think if we played from Lev's perspective and introduced Lev and Lara earlier i would have felt more compassion (and enjoyed it more). I think it wouldn't have been hard to tell Abby's story either. Ya both sides did wrong and were pretty much mirroring each other but I knew Ellie and Joel, not Abby. I didn't care for her throughout the entire game. I think that's where the game fell short, and that's a pretty big area to fall short. Liked the game for what it is. It has great aspects to it but as a counterpart to The Last of Us, it just fell short for me. I already knew what would happen with Joel, it was kinda obvious but even that felt kind of empty. That i could look over though, the rest of the game, story-wise/character wise, wasn't what it could have been.
Yes Tori! 8/10 for me. Loved the story. Liked playing as both characters and sick to death of people constantly saying it’s just a revenge game. It’s about forgiveness, and the end of the game totally made sense to me. I actually liked the way Joel died. It was horribe but it definitely a good way to get us mad and go looking for our revenge. Anyway 100% agree with your views. The only downside of the game for me was the pacing. 😴 But I think they had to string the Abby story out to make the dumb ass’s realise that Abby wasn’t a villain
First game was them against zombies until a moral dilemma. Second game was them against humans spurred up a moral dilemma and how far they can go. To me it was a different game than what I expected, but it was really good. I think they could have introduced abbys side better and not as abruptly because it kinda slowed things down but when it got good, it was really good. I didn’t like the sex scene because I wasn’t expecting it and didn’t think it added anything that the morning shot couldn’t do. I also felt like the last game play in California felt out of place, but they needed it to complete the story they set out to tell. I wish it had more gameplay or maybe more of Abby in California after they got taken to make sense of what is happening.
The only youtuber who gave a actual good review with spot on points was Angry Joe. I respect Tori's opinion but the reason I didnt like the story is because Ellie wanted revenge but because "revenge is bad" Ellie didnt get her revenge but Abby was able to get revenge. Than I saw some comments here and there about Abby's body and I hated it and disagreed but I also feel like they were magnified since I didn't see any comments on her body except on websites that specifically focused on those comments since I never saw those comments. Than the problem with the sex scene with nudity was just unneeded and unnecessary and to be honest just dumb. Than one of Tori's comments was "did we play the same game?" So my question is did we watch the same teasers? I wouldnt have minded Joel's death but considering in the teasers Joel was implied to help Ellie which instead turned out to be Jessie. Than just in general the whole "revenge is wrong" story line was just poorly written since it was so one sided and just only applied to one character which was Ellie. Than The Last Of Us 2 didn't really build an attachment to the enemy, that would be impossible to build an attachment especially considering what the Wolves were doing to many other survivors and what the seraphites were doing too and what happened to lev's sister. The only reason people didnt want to kill the dogs is just because of our general attachment to dogs as our pets, I am pretty sure any type of non dog lover had no problem killing the dogs without having psychotic thoughts.
I feel like people wanted the ending to be super triumphant and uplifting like any other story, and they wanted Joel to go out like a hero, sacrifice himself, all that jazz. In my opinion, post-apocalyptic fiction is supposed to be gritty and real and thought provoking. People don't die in blazes of glory; they are murdered in cold blood. Look at Night of the Living Dead. Look at it's sequels, Dawn and Day of the Dead. Look at Mad Max 1 and Road Warrior. Look at Fallout 1, 2, and New Vegas. All are morally ambiguous. All have controversial endings. LOU2 is a true Post Apocalyptic story.
I personally disliked the fact that they forced you to play a character which just killed the person you bonded with through an entire game, besides that part attacking Ellie, oof. But as far as I'm concerned, if there's a time to support diversity it's now. I really don't get why people are so upset about a muscular woman, or same gender relationships, or any type of diversity in general. I think this game does a good job making an impact on that sense. I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
This entire game’s story could’ve been avoided if the fireflies were smarter. If anyone else watched the Game Theory on the first game, MatPat talks about how they were going about the cure completely wrong. They said the surgery needed would’ve killed Ellie but they should’ve just been trying to get Ellie’s antibodies and make a non-violent version of the infection. (Also on a random note about the dogs in this game, during one of the playthroughs I watched, Jesse threw a brick at a dogs face and it was too funny to not laugh at😂)
Agree, because of that i only care about gameplay in this game and ignore all cutscenes. This game risked betting everything to manipulate players into liking Abby, devs even make her and Lev a "Joel and Ellie" ripoff. But it still a failure. Abby is a random stranger to Ellie who killed her "father" and never felt sorry for killing Joel. Then why did Ellie spare her? When Ellie killed Abby's friends, Ellie and Abby are square and even. But Abby also bite off Ellie's fingers, resulting in Ellie can't play guitar to connect herself with Joel while Abby will live a fine life with Lev and Fireflies. Why don't Ellie bite off any of Abby's body parts, from that they're square and even again?. "rEvEnGe Is BaD", then why Abby got her vengeance on a silver plate while Ellie had to struggle in order to get her vengeance? Joel killed Abby's father not because he wants to but Abby's father stopped him from saving Ellie, that is 2nd degree murder. While Abby killing Joel is 1st degree due to premeditated murder and slow torturing. Do people really need to sympathize with Abby? Maybe Naughty Dog felt like they missed that oppurtunity in the first game: "I want to go back and play as that cannibalistic pedophile. What was his story? And how can i learn to sympathize with him and why he started creeping on minors and eating people." Too bad Naughty Dog don't give us a chance of playing as a Rattler. What's their story? And how can I sympathize with them and why they started abducting and enslaving people? Spec Ops: The Line already did the "you are a monster for killing characters and npcs ", but better than TLOU2. TLOU2 is just manipulative.
Ok, here is my take on Joel's death scene. I feel that Joel's death would have been justified, it was just not properly executed. In this case, I feel that the way that Abby killed Joel ruined any chances of me sympathizing with her when we had to play as her for 10-12 hours in the game. It would have been alot better to know her motives from the beginning in which it doesn't make her a random character that was inserted to kill Joel like a side character. Also to fix the problem of Joel's sudden out of character action of trusting strangers, I feel that it would have been better if Abby was the one to save Joel (note: Abby did not know Joel's name during their first encounter). In this case Joel would have had a reason to trust them and Abby wouldn't be seen as immoral/sadistic (since in the original scene, Abby killed Joel right after he saved her). I would also like to say that Neil Druckmann failed to realize that people are just as invested with the character of Joel as they are with Ellie. The story needed both of them in my opinion. I feel that the best parts of the game were the flashback missions with Ellie and Joel. Edit: By the way, this whole idea of centering the plot around revenge was just not needed. Naughty dog should have stuck with their original theme/purpose of the game (which was about hope, the relationship with Joel and Ellie, and the ability to see/cherish the good times during the bad). We all know revenge is bad, we don't need a game or story to tell us that. We just want a story that would get is thinking like the last game.
killing joel first makes the player grapple with abby's character though. Being conflicted is what makes it fun and interesting! I loved the flashbacks with joel and ellie too, I wish he was in the game more, but it set the path ellie's character was going to take for the rest of the game. I actually expected Joel to be somewhat prominent figure in the game because in the teasers they showed Joel in a scene a couple of hours in the game and ended up switch him out with Jesse which is a bit misleading but I think everyone expected Joel to die but just the way that it happened. Still really good video and agreed with most of what you had to say
For the ending of TLOU2 I see a lot of parallels between Ellie's first kill and how she was trying to kill Abby. Earlier in the game Dina and Ellie talked about their first human kill. Ellie's first human kill was saving Joel from being drowned by an enemy. I think Ellie saw herself as the enemy in that moment when she was drowning Abby. This is why she remembered the day she decided to start forgiving Joel instead of hating him.
I just think the biggest problem with the story is that a lot of the characters act certain ways to specifically forward the plot (and I think Joel’s death was not executed well but that’s my opinion). For example, I think Joel and Tommy blindly walking into Abby’s lodge and being trusting is way out of their character, they’re smarter than that especially since Joel was super distrusting in the first game. I also think the fact that they let Ellie and Tommy live after killing Joel is stupid for Abby and the rest of the wolves, they literally did the same thing Joel did to them to Ellie and Tommy and you expect them not to want to take revenge. I also think having Abby brutally kill Joel and then try and have us understand why after the fact makes it really hard to forgive her. At that point she seems unredeemable, so you’re stuck playing a character you really don’t like for 10+ hours. I think if we had seen who she was before she killed Joel in some way shape or form it would have at least been easier to play as her, but after what she does to Joel with seemingly no explanation or character development we absolutely hate her. She killed the most loved character in the franchise with absolutely no mercy. It’s hard to sympathize with her after that Ultimately, just my opinion. Gameplay is fun, and if you enjoyed the story good for you. I didn’t
"Subverting expectations isn't the same thing as disappointing people, which seems to be the new trend in popular entertainment. Finding a razor blade in my salad is subverting my expectations, but isn't exactly something I'm going to applaud you for. This game took a risk betting everything, every element of its narrative that it could make you sympathise with Abby and care about her much as the first game did with Joel. Abby's half of the game is less dark - more about stopping people from being harmed, rather than inflicting harm upon them. She plays fetch with dogs instead of killing them, she gets to grow and change her outlook on the Scars and save children. She even has better gameplay sections, with more combat and better pacing. But even with all of that, in my case it was a complete failure. Abby never did anything that redeemed her murder of Joel in my eyes, and the devs could only come up with pairing her with a cute kid and hope that the first game's magic would rub off on her. Forgiving someone who loved you and who you loved back over a lie is a far cry different from forgiving someone you never knew who showed up one day and tortured someone you loved to death, destroyed your entire world and who never once sought forgiveness or showed remorse. All the epilogue does is punish Ellie even further, since Dina leaves her along with the baby and Ellie loses two of her fingers, making her unable to play guitar, her only remaining connection to Joel. I understand the game's message that "revenge is bad", but it really on comes across as bad when Ellie is the one seeking it. Abby got her vengeance, it was practically served up to her on a silver plate; she was never once sorry for it and wasn't punished for it to the same degree, and will now get to have a life bonding with Lev just like Ellie would have had with Joel if not for her. To me, Abby is a fundamentally horrible person that did nothing to earn mercy from Ellie, and certainly didn't earn this ending." - Dartigan.
Abby's body is modeled after this instagram fitness woman who is even bigger than Abby in real life. Yes she's jacked, but it's not that big of a deal.
There was no chance for Joel to fully get a feel for Abbys group bc as soon as they got there he and Tommy asked how long they were there for then Tommy reintroduced himself then bam. Shotgun to the leg. Plus Tommy told Abby their names before they even got to her friends so she already knew who he was.
The final Boss Fight between Ellie & Abby at the end was Great. Reminded me of the Boss fight in Metal Gear Solid 4 between Old Snake & Liquid Ocelot. EPIC!
You are of course entitled to your opinion, but here's a big complaint of how Joel died. He wasn't just killed, he was brutalized in something close to Murder Porn/ Snuff Film. Now before someone comes in and tries to say...."Oh but there's been worse" or something else. Think about this,...what if the story played out the same to a point, but instead Abby decided to hurt Joel in the worst way, she lures Joel into an area and he has to watch Ellie die in the same fashion being clubbed over and over. Still think the death scene is okay? Fans can except Joel dying, hell...they excepted Lee passing in "The Walking Dead" but at least Lee went out well. This was slaughter for shock value and without a care for people who cared for the character. If people like it, fine....but let's not dismiss all the criticism aimed at this. That said i hope life is treating you well and you're staying healthy. Nice to see you back here.
It's a brutal setting and Joel dished out plenty of cruelty himself over the course of his life. He said so himself in TLOU 1. What makes it particularly jarring, though, is that Joel just got done saving Abby's group, then acted completely out of character on top of it, and then people are forced to play as Abby right after. No way to sympathize with her there. It doesn't help that Neil Druckman also makes Twitter statements to the tune of "Look at the negative reactions that we got, since the game was supposed to be about hate, that means it's a massive success!" That's like calling anything evoking any emotional reaction whatsoever "good art". Like pushing over your grandma - good art.
I'm glad to see at least one youtuber who liked the game and isnt just trying to get likes for bashing on the game. (I'm sure there's more but have yet to see any) I'm glad you enjoyed the game! I thought it was absolutely fantastic, I was more shocked than upset at Joel's death and really wanted abby dead, when we got to playing her half of the game I actually tried rushing until we get to yara and lev. That was one of my favorite fights with the melee combat forcing you to dodge felt truly badass getting through it. Anyway great video 👍
The story is not salvageable, with no amount of mental gymnastics. Or, to be more precise, not the story - the execution of it, the pacing, and the order in which different parts of the story were presented.

i dont think people hate the entire game, i think most just hate the story and are blaming the entire game for it (because for some of us the story is all that matters in a game), understandable really. i also hated the story and i think it actually ruins the franchise, when watching i just keep getting mad at the developers, but the game mechanics, the map and all is amazing. oh yeah and the whole "hating on abby" thing really is unnecessary, devs can do whatever they want with the characters, if they want to hate her its fine but no point in blaming her body for the hate.

I'm pretty sure Dina and JJ are back in Jackson, cause God knows you can't raise a baby all alone in that kind of world. I like to think Ellie went back to Jackson to find them and she's still living with them there
I totally agree with you, the game is a masterpiece, when I didn't agree with something at first, shortly after I would understand it and enjoy it. I believed that MOST (not all) of the people that are judging the game haven't played it, just watched via youtube/twitch, but it's totally different when you actually feel the game and play it by yourself.
some people you're probably right about but the whole "you have to play it yourself" thing doesnt make sense, it doesnt matter for someone looking at the story. playing the game wont make you like or understand the story and the characters any different
@@darkceptor44 i disagree, I don't think that you could know what your personal feelings throughout the game will be like unless you play it. You could read about the story all you want but that doesn't include other dialogue and your true reactions to things happening throughout
@@ToriVasquez but i loved the first one tho and i never played it either, i loved god of war and other story games too even though i dont own a console. for me binge-watching a ton of people play is enough to form an opinion on the story alone because i usually focus on the details that i can see on the screen, some dialogues arent really gonna make anything different for me. but from playing on pc i can definitely form an opinion on game mechanics, except the swiping thingy on the ps4 controller lol, that one i just assume its cool i guess. btw would've loved seeing your full reaction to it ;) hint hint to maybe gameplay of other games in the future
I stopped watching at your warning for spoilers since I have not finished it by far. However, I do have an idea what your opinion is based on the comments I read, and I think it is that its an awesome game, high detailed and well-thought about. If that's your opinion about it, I agree 😁. If I'm wrong, well, woops 😂 I am currently in the museum with the dinosaurs and the space part. Just hard our launch into space. Totally awesome. I really love the game so far, and I dont think I can go hate it. Its just awesome so far I have played 😏. Definitely a 10/10 so far
@@ToriVasquez Yes that one :). Such a magical moment 🤗. Normally I never search for supplies that thoroughly, but I am glad I did this time hehe 😏. Supplies are quite rare, so I figured I needed all I could find. Otherwise I would have moved on with the story and never knew that moment was there 🙈
All the comments about Abby's buffness are REALLY dumb when you consider: 1: Abby was first shown off in the Paris Games Week trailer IN SEPTEMBER 2017, and she was buff then. (At the time, the character was announced: "And featuring Laura Bailey as [redacted], being 4 letters long [can't remember if it was A***], leading many people to suspect the character was Ellie's mom Anna 2: Laura's character in Naughty Dog's prior titles Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy was also buff. 3: While Abby's rather buff in 2038, her arms aren't so beefy in 2036. Also, a lot of people in games media I follow play everything from Life is Strange to Assassin's Creed Odyssey as a same-sex oriented woman (and never play anything as a same-sex oriented man), so regardless of how one might feel about the execution, I was happy to get to play as a woman who romances a man outside the player's control, something you virtually never see from any Samus Aran or Lara Croft, even though most male protagonists these days have a definitive female significant other.
Tori! Loved the video and the game. What the heck is going on at FBE? I always assumed they would do a play through of this game with Adam, Morgan, Troy etc but all they ever want to do anymore is silly try not to laugh competitions. Hope they bring back React Gaming and Kids React and keep the variety coming. Anyway...glad you gave your thoughts!
Straight up, React Gaming wasn’t very profitable. It was hours of content filmed and edited and not enough people watched the videos to make a profit. I don’t work at fbe anymore so I don’t know if they’ll film TLOU2 content, so we’ll see! Gaming was always some of my favorite content to film there :)

@benmurray i'm really only allowed/able to play tails on the old sonic sega games bc his death doesn't count against you and ge respawns. Id try and take out the killer fish or monkey throwing coconut and there's a 30/70 shot i'd succeed without dying. I can't even play little big planet by myself bc i can't jump high enough to get to finish some of the levels.
I could not have said it better myself! I especially agree with what you said about joel. I don't think people understand that he's not meant to be seen as the hero. In the world of the last of us, no one is meant to be seen as a hero or a villian, just human. And joel was someone who was so selfish that he took away ellies purpose and sacrificed humanity. I wish people understood that him saving ellie doesn't make him a good guy.
I totally agree with you here! I don´t get why people are talking about Abbys character like that and say: "Oh, you should hate her simply because: look how she looks!!! WTF?" I mean.... seriously? Why are you talking like that? And I really liked the ending, cause it made sense to me, that at least at the very end: Ellie realised, that revenge is bad and that she needs to end this circle of violance! And I TOTALLY agree on the Joel part. How many people has Joel killed? A LOT. People with families.... with friends.... it was only a matter of time before he got killed.... and the way he was killed....... it wasn´t pretty, but I´ve bet in real life: Not all deaths are pretty and that is why this made sense to me. I just think its so toxic, when people just want to find a reason to hate this game...... some people even said: "I don´t like that Ellie is gay. I hate this game because of that. Why does she have to be gay? Fuck this game!!"

I enjoyed playing part 2, and I'm hoping they make a DLC like they did with part 1. If they do please let it focus on Ellie & Joel, maybe something on the lines of them patching things up, Ellie finally forgiven Joel before he is murdered. They may not go that route though seeing that Ellie is so set on revenge is because she didn't get a chance to fully forgive Joel.

I didnt care for abby and neither dina. Also the game DRAGED A LOT. I wanted to kill abby at the end...it just wasnt for me. Gameplay wise 10/10, the story is a 7 at most because i didnt like the characters. I applaud naughty dog for doing something different(the abby story) but i just didnt care about her

I love that you had the courage to make this video. I feel as if nowadays you have to agree with one accepted opinion. And you just genuinely disagree you get attacked. But in the real world we all disagree about something. I genuinely love The Last Of Us part 2, it was very dark and heartbreaking. So was the first game, but this took it further. But that is also the world of The Last Of Us, where your favorite characters don’t necessarily make it. In the end I liked both being Ellie and being Abby. It reminded me of Metal Gear Solid 2 how you suddenly play as Raiden instead of Snake and that was a big controversy at the time too. But I ended up loving MGS2, I feel like the hate goes too far nowadays though. People can’t let it go. Maybe the pandemic also adds fuel to the fire. People are even more on edge. I also think that once The Last Of Us part 3 comes out, nobody’s gonna care about part 2, just like with the MGS series. People can be a bit short sighted too. Also I have to mention that one of my closest friends here in Helsinki has a very similar persona with you! Hard to explain, but your expressions and the way you talk and laugh and everything it’s so similar to my friend Oona. You guys could be sisters only you grew up in the US and she grew up in Finland. And she loves video games too and gets excited in such a similar way 😸 wish you guys could meet, you’d be instantl friends. Either that or the universe would explode 🙊
I finally finished the game a couple of days ago and I can't stop thinking about it, for a lot of the reasons that you laid out! Thank you for sharing your support of Abby; while she's DEFINITELY not a "good" person, I loved her part of the game, and I hate seeing her reduced to "hurdurr big muscle murder machine" by some reviewers. It's easy to be upset at her for Joel's death, but... to her, Joel was a bad guy. One of this franchise's main themes, to me at least, is realizing that a person is good or bad depending on whose lens you're looking through. I found her character growth alongside Lev and Yara compelling and my only complaint with the game (besides the sex scene lmao) is that we didn't get more time with them. Thanks again for the video! i played through the game with my friend and he was ahead of me. like he was done in 3 days i was done in a week or 2. he said a couple of spoilers like who was gonna die or where i have to go. which made me a little mad but at least i was expecting it

I completed it last night too! I had lots of fun playing it and I think the gameplay was fun and the fighting was fun. I didn’t think Abby was a bad character, and I honestly understood why she killed Joel, yeah it’s sad to see such a beloved character die, but playing as Abby later you can see why she was so upset and wanted that revenge. Ellie wanted the same revenge on Abby later but a lot of people hate Abby and not Ellie. I hated her at first until I found out why she did it. She started to grow on me and she showed that there was good in her. I’m disappointed with the ending and the writing though. That’s the only downfall with the game, I also didn’t like how a lot of things were like you go from point a to b and it repeated. There were some parts that really bored me but overall I had a lot of fun playing it and I’m probably going to replay it again on new game plus. I felt the game dragged a bit at the end and it didn’t have that same intense feeling as the first one, but I think the end is alright. I felt it could’ve been better but I still enjoyed it and am definitely going to play it again I’d give it an 8/10 downfall is a bit of the story and some parts got boring
yeah I totally understand finding some parts boring. Overall, I thought it was a well executed sequel. The end did feel a little bit dragged because I was expecting it to end before the santa barbara part, but once I got into it I liked that part of the game
My biggest gripe with the game was that the cutscenes were so messed up / glitchy. I've actually tried looking it up to see if others have had the same issue and couldn't find anything but.. in almost every cutscene the characters / models were just all over the place and then every time it glitched out the audio would no longer be lined up and the cutscene would still play out with characters being stuck in weird poses etc..
@@ToriVasquez yeah.. it was all really weird. Idk how to explain it other then like... just T-posing suddenly except they weren't in a T-pose but some random weird pose. Like if ellie was say.. holding a paper and reading it or something, she'd suddenly just be in a weird pose not holding the paper but the paper would still be in the same spot appearing to be floating. While stuff like that was happening the dialogue would still continue but the animations were just shot.. lol.. it ruined the immersion a lot.

I've been doing the same exact thing, looking for other comments and opinions after finishing it and trying to find podcasts about it. I loved Abby, and I took so many screenshots of her muscles because they're amazing. lol. In the end, the game wasn’t about vengeance it was about forgiveness.
People pissed that Ellie didn’t kill Abby in the end are basically saying they’re willing to trade Ellie’s humanity for revenge. And if you’re willing to happily watch Ellie lose the last shred of her self, then you didn’t really care about her as a character. And by extension you don’t truly understand why Joel sacrificed his humanity to save Ellie.
He saved her life’s in part 1 .... and in the final scene of part 2 he saved her humanity.

7:07 i get that he had it coming but he is a loved character in one of the most popular games and we waited 7 years just for him to die in 1 hour and not even die a peaceful way i honestly preferred him getting bit by a runner or clicker than getting his head bashed in.
Hey! Loved the video and your take (and I really loved the game too!!!). I just wanted to say something about Joel trusting Abby and her friends at the beginning being "out of character", which to me honestly isn't valid criticism at all. First of all, when you play as Abby in the beginning you fight infected with Joel and Tommy and defend them both, even killing an infected that was dangerously attacking Tommy. Why would they be wary of her when they are in a life or death situation and she actually actively helps them? Second, If that only doesn't convince you, in the beginning of the first game Joel and Tess follow Marlene (someone they know is a dangerous fugitive and actually don't trust from the beginning) to an unknown safehouse which may be a trap. Also, when Joel and Ellie meet Henry and Sam (two complete strangers) later in the game they follow them to another unknown safehouse and then follow their plans to meet with Henry's group at the radio tower which may also very possibly be a trap. And guess what, at one point Henry actually betrays them and leaves Joel behind, with him and Ellie being extremely lucky and not dying soon after. Then Henry and Sam save them from drowning and even though they were the ones responsible for Joel and Ellie almost dying, Joel still trusts them again and continue to the radio tower. Just like that time, in the begging of part 2 Tommy and Joel are in desperate survival circumstances, and make decisions in order to survive.

I love that there was representations of different walks of life but I didn't like the how the story was presented. I would have changed it to start with the science museum with Ellie and Joel. Then cut to Abby as a child and invest into her character growth with her dad, collecting State quarters, funeral scene promising revenge, Working out to get revenge, time with her friends/ life as a WLF, Then have an aha moment that the doctor killed at the end of The Last Of Us was her dad as she shoots Joel's leg. The handling of Joel's death could have changed to a stalemate shoot out interrupted by the infected horde. WLFs escape and because of Joel's injured leg he sacrifices himself to buy time for Ellie, Dina, Jesse, and Tommy to escape. Then continue the game as is.

I think Ellie went back to Jackson. The only way she can get past everything is trying to live on and that means going back to Dina and Tommy. If she went off on her own she’d never get past everything. That’s how I see it at least. Plus Joel would want her to go back and live her life.

Thank you! People are only looking at this game at surface level. It's like everyone's lost their ability to think and feel. It's kind of crazy how many people just still wanted to go in to it with pure brutality. The fact that they made it so tiring, physically and metally and you completely felt it all is an incredible feat. It's completely realistic. And the ending made sense to me.

Figuratively speaking. Been saying this for a week. Everyone loves Empire strikes back… But if return of the Jedi never came out, empire becomes one of the worst movies ever made. It’s because we got the final part of the trilogy that we could appreciate the tragic end of empire .
I fully understand where they were trying to take the game and appreciated how well made it was but the whole Abby thing wasn't executed well for me. (People bagging on her body know zip about body types and that women can be that size AND bigger 🤦♀️ i honestly was like "oh she's super buff, look at those arms!" But never thought it was weird lol) I think if we played from Lev's perspective and introduced Lev and Lara earlier i would have felt more compassion (and enjoyed it more). I think it wouldn't have been hard to tell Abby's story either. Ya both sides did wrong and were pretty much mirroring each other but I knew Ellie and Joel, not Abby. I didn't care for her throughout the entire game. I think that's where the game fell short, and that's a pretty big area to fall short. Liked the game for what it is. It has great aspects to it but as a counterpart to The Last of Us, it just fell short for me. I already knew what would happen with Joel, it was kinda obvious but even that felt kind of empty. That i could look over though, the rest of the game, story-wise/character wise, wasn't what it could have been.
Yes Tori! 8/10 for me. Loved the story. Liked playing as both characters and sick to death of people constantly saying it’s just a revenge game. It’s about forgiveness, and the end of the game totally made sense to me. I actually liked the way Joel died. It was horribe but it definitely a good way to get us mad and go looking for our revenge. This game sucks.
First game was them against zombies until a moral dilemma. Second game was them against humans spurred up a moral dilemma and how far they can go. To me it was a different game than what I expected, but it was really good. I think they could have introduced abbys side better and not as abruptly because it kinda slowed things down but when it got good, it was really good. I didn’t like the sex scene because I wasn’t expecting it and didn’t think it added anything that the morning shot couldn’t do. I also felt like the last game play in California felt out of place, but they needed it to complete the story they set out to tell. I wish it had more gameplay or maybe more of Abby in California after they got taken to make sense of what is happening.
The only youtuber who gave a actual good review with spot on points was Angry Joe. I respect Tori's opinion but the reason I didnt like the story is because Ellie wanted revenge but because "revenge is bad" Ellie didnt get her revenge but Abby was able to get revenge. Than I saw some comments here and there about Abby's body and I hated it and disagreed but I also feel like they were magnified since I didn't see any comments on her body except on websites that specifically focused on those comments since I never saw those comments. Than the problem with the sex scene with nudity was just unneeded and unnecessary and to be honest just dumb. Than one of Tori's comments was "did we play the same game?" So my question is did we watch the same teasers? I wouldnt have minded Joel's death but considering in the teasers Joel was implied to help Ellie which instead turned out to be Jessie. Than just in general the whole "revenge is wrong" story line was just poorly written since it was so one sided and just only applied to one character which was Ellie.
Than The Last Of Us 2 didn't really build an attachment to the enemy, that would be impossible to build an attachment especially considering what the Wolves were doing to many other survivors and what the seraphites were doing too and what happened to lev's sister. The only reason people didnt want to kill the dogs is just because of our general attachment to dogs as our pets, I am pretty sure any type of non dog lover had no problem killing the dogs without having psychotic thoughts.

I feel like people wanted the ending to be super triumphant and uplifting like any other story, and they wanted Joel to go out like a hero, sacrifice himself, all that jazz. In my opinion, post-apocalyptic fiction is supposed to be gritty and real and thought provoking. People don't die in blazes of glory; they are murdered in cold blood. Look at Night of the Living Dead. Look at it's sequels, Dawn and Day of the Dead. Look at Mad Max 1 and Road Warrior. Look at Fallout 1, 2, and New Vegas. All are morally ambiguous. All have controversial endings. LOU2 is a true Post Apocalyptic story.
I personally disliked the fact that they forced you to play a character which just killed the person you bonded with through an entire game, besides that part attacking Ellie, oof. But as far as I'm concerned, if there's a time to support diversity it's now. I really don't get why people are so upset about a muscular woman, or same gender relationships, or any type of diversity in general. I think this game does a good job making an impact on that sense. I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

This entire game’s story could’ve been avoided if the fireflies were smarter. If anyone else watched the Game Theory on the first game, MatPat talks about how they were going about the cure completely wrong. They said the surgery needed would’ve killed Ellie but they should’ve just been trying to get Ellie’s antibodies and make a non-violent version of the infection. (Also on a random note about the dogs in this game, during one of the playthroughs I watched, Jesse threw a brick at a dogs face and it was too funny to not laugh at😂)

Abby is a random stranger to Ellie who killed her "father" and never felt sorry for killing Joel. Then why did Ellie spare her?
When Ellie killed Abby's friends, Ellie and Abby are square and even. But Abby also bite off Ellie's fingers, resulting in Ellie can't play guitar to connect herself with Joel while Abby will live a fine life with Lev and Fireflies. Why don't Ellie bite off any of Abby's body parts, from that they're square and even again?.

Joel killed Abby's father not because he wants to but Abby's father stopped him from saving Ellie, that is 2nd degree murder. While Abby killing Joel is 1st degree due to premeditated murder and slow torturing.
Do people really need to sympathize with Abby? Maybe Naughty Dog felt like they missed that oppurtunity in the first game: "I want to go back and play as that cannibalistic pedophile. What was his story? And how can i learn to sympathize with him and why he started creeping on minors and eating people."

Ok, here is my take on Joel's death scene. I feel that Joel's death would have been justified, it was just not properly executed. In this case, I feel that the way that Abby killed Joel ruined any chances of me sympathizing with her when we had to play as her for 10-12 hours in the game. It would have been alot better to know her motives from the beginning in which it doesn't make her a random character that was inserted to kill Joel like a side character. Also to fix the problem of Joel's sudden out of character action of trusting strangers, I feel that it would have been better if Abby was the one to save Joel (note: Abby did not know Joel's name during their first encounter). In this case Joel would have had a reason to trust them and Abby wouldn't be seen as immoral/sadistic (since in the original scene, Abby killed Joel right after he saved her). I would also like to say that Neil Druckmann failed to realize that people are just as invested with the character of Joel as they are with Ellie. The story needed both of them in my opinion. I feel that the best parts of the game were the flashback missions with Ellie and Joel.
Edit: By the way, this whole idea of centering the plot around revenge was just not needed. Naughty dog should have stuck with their original theme/purpose of the game (which was about hope, the relationship with Joel and Ellie, and the ability to see/cherish the good times during the bad). We all know revenge is bad, we don't need a game or story to tell us that. We just want a story that would get is thinking like the last game.
killing joel first makes the player grapple with abby's character though. Being conflicted is what makes it fun and interesting! I loved the flashbacks with joel and ellie too, I wish he was in the game more, but it set the path ellie's character was going to take for the rest of the game. I actually expected Joel to be somewhat prominent figure in the game because in the teasers they showed Joel in a scene a couple of hours in the game and ended up switch him out with Jesse which is a bit misleading but I think everyone expected Joel to die but just the way that it happened. For the ending of TLOU2 I see a lot of parallels between Ellie's first kill and how she was trying to kill Abby. Earlier in the game Dina and Ellie talked about their first human kill. Ellie's first human kill was saving Joel from being drowned by an enemy. I think Ellie saw herself as the enemy in that moment when she was drowning Abby. This is why she remembered the day she decided to start forgiving Joel instead of hating him.
OOOOO I love that theory! I can totally see that! I dont think it was a coincidence then that ellie almost drowned abby to death but stopped.
I just think the biggest problem with the story is that a lot of the characters act certain ways to specifically forward the plot (and I think Joel’s death was not executed well but that’s my opinion). For example, I think Joel and Tommy blindly walking into Abby’s lodge and being trusting is way out of their character, they’re smarter than that especially since Joel was super distrusting in the first game. I also think the fact that they let Ellie and Tommy live after killing Joel is stupid for Abby and the rest of the wolves, they literally did the same thing Joel did to them to Ellie and Tommy and you expect them not to want to take revenge. I also think having Abby brutally kill Joel and then try and have us understand why after the fact makes it really hard to forgive her. At that point she seems unredeemable, so you’re stuck playing a character you really don’t like for 10+ hours. I think if we had seen who she was before she killed Joel in some way shape or form it would have at least been easier to play as her, but after what she does to Joel with seemingly no explanation or character development we absolutely hate her. She killed the most loved character in the franchise with absolutely no mercy. It’s hard to sympathize with her after that Ultimately, just my opinion. Gameplay is fun, and if you enjoyed the story good for you. I didn’t

This game took a risk betting everything, every element of its narrative that it could make you sympathise with Abby and care about her much as the first game did with Joel. Abby's half of the game is less dark - more about stopping people from being harmed, rather than inflicting harm upon them. She plays fetch with dogs instead of killing them, she gets to grow and change her outlook on the Scars and save children. She even has better gameplay sections, with more combat and better pacing. But even with all of that, in my case it was a complete failure. Abby never did anything that redeemed her murder of Joel in my eyes, and the devs could only come up with pairing her with a cute kid and hope that the first game's magic would rub off on her. Forgiving someone who loved you and who you loved back over a lie is a far cry different from forgiving someone you never knew who showed up one day and tortured someone you loved to death, destroyed your entire world and who never once sought forgiveness or showed remorse. All the epilogue does is punish Ellie even further, since Dina leaves her along with the baby and Ellie loses two of her fingers, making her unable to play guitar, her only remaining connection to Joel. I understand the game's message that "revenge is bad", but it really on comes across as bad when Ellie is the one seeking it. Abby got her vengeance, it was practically served up to her on a silver plate; she was never once sorry for it and wasn't punished for it to the same degree, and will now get to have a life bonding with Lev just like Ellie would have had with Joel if not for her. To me, Abby is a fundamentally horrible person that did nothing to earn mercy from Ellie, and certainly didn't earn this ending." - Dartigan.

There was no chance for Joel to fully get a feel for Abbys group bc as soon as they got there he and Tommy asked how long they were there for then Tommy reintroduced himself then bam. Shotgun to the leg. Plus Tommy told Abby their names before they even got to her friends so she already knew who he was.
The final Boss Fight between Ellie & Abby at the end was Great. Reminded me of the Boss fight in Metal Gear Solid 4 between Old Snake & Liquid Ocelot. EPIC!
i SUCKED at the punching and dodging combat but it was a lot of fun
You are of course entitled to your opinion, but here's a big complaint of how Joel died. He wasn't just killed, he was brutalized in something close to Murder Porn/ Snuff Film. Now before someone comes in and tries to say...."Oh but there's been worse" or something else. Think about this,...what if the story played out the same to a point, but instead Abby decided to hurt Joel in the worst way, she lures Joel into an area and he has to watch Ellie die in the same fashion being clubbed over and over. Still think the death scene is okay? Fans can except Joel dying, hell...they excepted Lee passing in "The Walking Dead" but at least Lee went out well. This was slaughter for shock value and without a care for people who cared for the character. If people like it, fine....but let's not dismiss all the criticism aimed at this. That said i hope life is treating you well and you're staying healthy. Nice to see you back here.
It's a brutal setting and Joel dished out plenty of cruelty himself over the course of his life. He said so himself in TLOU 1. What makes it particularly jarring, though, is that Joel just got done saving Abby's group, then acted completely out of character on top of it, and then people are forced to play as Abby right after. No way to sympathize with her there.
It doesn't help that Neil Druckman also makes Twitter statements to the tune of "Look at the negative reactions that we got, since the game was supposed to be about hate, that means it's a massive success!" That's like calling anything evoking any emotional reaction whatsoever "good art". Like pushing over your grandma - good art.
I'm glad to see at least one youtuber who liked the game and isnt just trying to get likes for bashing on the game. (I'm sure there's more but have yet to see any) I'm glad you enjoyed the game! I thought it was absolutely fantastic, I was more shocked than upset at Joel's death and really wanted abby dead, when we got to playing her half of the game I actually tried rushing until we get to yara and lev. That was one of my favorite fights with the melee combat forcing you to dodge felt truly badass getting through it.

i dont think people hate the entire game, i think most just hate the story and are blaming the entire game for it (because for some of us the story is all that matters in a game), understandable really.
i also hated the story and i think it actually ruins the franchise, when watching i just keep getting mad at the developers, but the game mechanics, the map and all is amazing.
oh yeah and the whole "hating on abby" thing really is unnecessary, devs can do whatever they want with the characters, if they want to hate her its fine but no point in blaming her body for the hate.

I totally agree with you, the game is a masterpiece, when I didn't agree with something at first, shortly after I would understand it and enjoy it. I believed that MOST (not all) of the people that are judging the game haven't played it, just watched via youtube/twitch, but it's totally different when you actually feel the game and play it by yourself.

for me binge-watching a ton of people play is enough to form an opinion on the story alone because i usually focus on the details that i can see on the screen, some dialogues arent really gonna make anything different for me.
but from playing on pc i can definitely form an opinion on game mechanics, except the swiping thingy on the ps4 controller lol, that one i just assume its cool i guess.

I stopped watching at your warning for spoilers since I have not finished it by far. However, I do have an idea what your opinion is based on the comments I read, and I think it is that its an awesome game, high detailed and well-thought about. If that's your opinion about it, I agree 😁. If I'm wrong, well, woops 😂 I am currently in the museum with the dinosaurs and the space part. Just hard our launch into space. Totally awesome. I really love the game so far, and I dont think I can go hate it. Its just awesome so far I have played 😏. Definitely a 10/10 so far

All the comments about Abby's buffness are REALLY dumb when you consider:
1: Abby was first shown off in the Paris Games Week trailer IN SEPTEMBER 2017, and she was buff then. (At the time, the character was announced: "And featuring Laura Bailey as [redacted], being 4 letters long [can't remember if it was A***], leading many people to suspect the character was Ellie's mom Anna
2: Laura's character in Naughty Dog's prior titles Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy was also buff.
3: While Abby's rather buff in 2038, her arms aren't so beefy in 2036.
Also, a lot of people in games media I follow play everything from Life is Strange to Assassin's Creed Odyssey as a same-sex oriented woman (and never play anything as a same-sex oriented man), so regardless of how one might feel about the execution, I was happy to get to play as a woman who romances a man outside the player's control, something you virtually never see from any Samus Aran or Lara Croft, even though most male protagonists these days have a definitive female significant other.
Tori! Loved the video and the game. What the heck is going on at FBE? I always assumed they would do a play through of this game with Adam, Morgan, Troy etc but all they ever want to do anymore is silly try not to laugh competitions. Hope they bring back React Gaming and Kids React and keep the variety coming. Anyway...glad you gave your thoughts!
Straight up, React Gaming wasn’t very profitable. It was hours of content filmed and edited and not enough people watched the videos to make a profit. I don’t work at fbe anymore so I don’t know if they’ll film TLOU2 content, so we’ll see! Gaming was always some of my favorite content to film there :)

@benmurray i'm really only allowed/able to play tails on the old sonic sega games bc his death doesn't count against you and ge respawns. Id try and take out the killer fish or monkey throwing coconut and there's a 30/70 shot i'd succeed without dying. I can't even play little big planet by myself bc i can't jump high enough to get to finish some of the levels.

I could not have said it better myself! I especially agree with what you said about joel. I don't think people understand that he's not meant to be seen as the hero. In the world of the last of us, no one is meant to be seen as a hero or a villian, just human. And joel was someone who was so selfish that he took away ellies purpose and sacrificed humanity. I wish people understood that him saving ellie doesn't make him a good guy.

I totally agree with you here! I don´t get why people are talking about Abbys character like that and say: "Oh, you should hate her simply because: look how she looks!!! WTF?" I mean.... seriously? Why are you talking like that? And I really liked the ending, cause it made sense to me, that at least at the very end: Ellie realised, that revenge is bad and that she needs to end this circle of violance! Cause she would have killed Abby...... someone that has known Abby would have come for Ellie for sure..... this way: Abby can say: "Okay... we both made HUGH mistakes but she both need to move on and live our lifes from now on." And I TOTALLY agree on the Joel part. How many people has Joel killed? A LOT. People with families.... with friends.... it was only a matter of time before he got killed.... and the way he was killed....... it wasn´t pretty, but I´ve bet in real life: Not all deaths are pretty and that is why this made sense to me. I just think its so toxic, when people just want to find a reason to hate this game...... some people even said: "I don´t like that Ellie is gay. I hate this game because of that. Why does she have to be gay? Fuck this game!!"

People who hate this game because Ellie is gay but love part 1 of the Last of Us are Morons, because it is known to us from part 1 the stand alone DLC that Ellie is gay.
I enjoyed playing part 2, and I'm hoping they make a DLC like they did with part 1. If they do please let it focus on Ellie & Joel, maybe something on the lines of them patching things up, Ellie finally forgiven Joel before he is murdered. They may not go that route though seeing that Ellie is so set on revenge is because she didn't get a chance to fully forgive Joel.

I didnt care for abby and neither dina. Also the game DRAGED A LOT. I wanted to kill abby at the end...it just wasnt for me. Gameplay wise 10/10, the story is a 7 at most because i didnt like the characters. I applaud naughty dog for doing something different(the abby story) but i just didnt care about her

I love that you had the courage to make this video. I feel as if nowadays you have to agree with one accepted opinion. And you just genuinely disagree you get attacked. But in the real world we all disagree about something. I genuinely love The Last Of Us part 2, it was very dark and heartbreaking. So was the first game, but this took it further. But that is also the world of The Last Of Us, where your favorite characters don’t necessarily make it. In the end I liked both being Ellie and being Abby. It reminded me of Metal Gear Solid 2 how you suddenly play as Raiden instead of Snake and that was a big controversy at the time too. But I ended up loving MGS2, I feel like the hate goes too far nowadays though. People can’t let it go. Maybe the pandemic also adds fuel to the fire. People are even more on edge. I also think that once The Last Of Us part 3 comes out, nobody’s gonna care about part 2, just like with the MGS series. People can be a bit short sighted too. Also I have to mention that one of my closest friends here in Helsinki has a very similar persona with you! Hard to explain, but your expressions and the way you talk and laugh and everything it’s so similar to my friend Oona. You guys could be sisters only you grew up in the US and she grew up in Finland. And she loves video games too and gets excited in such a similar way 😸 wish you guys could meet, you’d be instantl friends. Either that or the universe would explode 🙊

I finally finished the game a couple of days ago and I can't stop thinking about it, for a lot of the reasons that you laid out! Thank you for sharing your support of Abby; while she's DEFINITELY not a "good" person, I loved her part of the game, and I hate seeing her reduced to "hurdurr big muscle murder machine" by some reviewers. It's easy to be upset at her for Joel's death, but... to her, Joel was a bad guy. One of this franchise's main themes, to me at least, is realizing that a person is good or bad depending on whose lens you're looking through. I found her character growth alongside Lev and Yara compelling and my only complaint with the game (besides the sex scene lmao) is that we didn't get more time with them.

i played through the game with my friend and he was ahead of me. like he was done in 3 days i was done in a week or 2. he said a couple of spoilers like who was gonna die or where i have to go. which made me a little mad but at least i was expecting it

I completed it last night too! I had lots of fun playing it and I think the gameplay was fun and the fighting was fun. I didn’t think Abby was a bad character, and I honestly understood why she killed Joel, yeah it’s sad to see such a beloved character die, but playing as Abby later you can see why she was so upset and wanted that revenge. Ellie wanted the same revenge on Abby later but a lot of people hate Abby and not Ellie. I hated her at first until I found out why she did it. She started to grow on me and she showed that there was good in her. I’m disappointed with the ending and the writing though. That’s the only downfall with the game, I also didn’t like how a lot of things were like you go from point a to b and it repeated. There were some parts that really bored me but overall I had a lot of fun playing it and I’m probably going to replay it again on new game plus. I felt the game dragged a bit at the end and it didn’t have that same intense feeling as the first one, but I think the end is alright. I felt it could’ve been better but I still enjoyed it and am definitely going to play it again I’d give it an 8/10 downfall is a bit of the story and some parts got boring
yeah I totally understand finding some parts boring. Overall, I thought it was a well executed sequel. The end did feel a little bit dragged because I was expecting it to end before the santa barbara part, but once I got into it I liked that part of the game
My biggest gripe with the game was that the cutscenes were so messed up / glitchy. I've actually tried looking it up to see if others have had the same issue and couldn't find anything but.. in almost every cutscene the characters / models were just all over the place and then every time it glitched out the audio would no longer be lined up and the cutscene would still play out with characters being stuck in weird poses etc..

@@ToriVasquez yeah.. it was all really weird. Idk how to explain it other then like... just T-posing suddenly except they weren't in a T-pose but some random weird pose. Like if ellie was say.. holding a paper and reading it or something, she'd suddenly just be in a weird pose not holding the paper but the paper would still be in the same spot appearing to be floating. While stuff like that was happening the dialogue would still continue but the animations were just shot.. lol.. it ruined the immersion a lot.
