    Thank you so much, Fr. Morgan, for your homily that we must seriously listen and need to change specially in this time of Lent. What a beautiful guidance you provide in order to be saved from the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the pride of life. It’s a real battle in ourselves that we must work thoroughly, be made clean and become a new person God wants us to be. You’re indeed a true good shepherd whose own life is given to save your own flock entrusted to you. God bless and prayers for you and humanity.

    The Narrow Gate
    13 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell[f] is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.
    The Tree and Its Fruit
    15 “Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. 16 You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. 19 So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. 20 Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.
    True Disciples
    21 “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. 22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’In this vein have those who revere GOD been talking to one another. GOD has heard and noted it, and a scroll of remembrance has been written at God’s behest concerning those who revere GOD and esteem the holy name.

    Wasn't God
    Now the preist needs too confess

    What about him/her who had rejection in this life and was not able to find a partner? Surprisingly the church does not speak about it, nor i expect anyone to comment on this.

    • @matthewthomasjames
      @matthewthomasjames 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Curious about what the connection is to this homily, or is there any? Rejection and loneliness are some of the most painful crosses that a person can bear, but as with any cross that we are given, if we walk in friendship with The Lord, there is consolation and meaning in this form of suffering that can win us great merit. I’m sure, if you are a Catholic, you realize this.

    • @francestaylor9156

      I think ppl are only now understanding how trauma in childhood especially from parents can cause such issues. It’s exacerbated more with how culturally we’re expected to be able to do everything individually instead of relying on family/friends/community.
      Much of the church in all disciplines of Christianity got caught up in this mindset of individualism because it was so pervasive in the culture.
      Hopefully, we can change things through God within ourselves and through the church. We have to be the change we want to see. It has to start within us.

    • @commonsensecatholics
      @commonsensecatholics 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      every human being has dealt with rejection in some form or another..some to a greater extent, some less..some due to they're own fault because of self-destructive behavior, some due to no fault of their own..we all have a cross to carry. Use it to grow closer to Christ..

    Nice sermon. But I am going to be critical for a moment. Jesus was born in an animal manger and grew up working as a carpenter. An awesome profession really, working directly with fundamental elements of the earth. He was very poor it seems and had few creature comforts. There does not seem to be an opulent thing about him on earth, and he suffered a horrible crucifixion for us men. So my question is then, why are priests and other holy men adorned with such opulent robes, and preach from opulent churches adorned with opulent symbols of faith? Jesus didn't need any of that, and billions ongoing are still his followers. So I struggle greatly hearing and seeing this opulence during Lent and a season penitence when things seem to be visibly opulent/prideful and lustful. I too a mortal, and a creature of comfort myself.

    • @Gorefactory1991
      @Gorefactory1991 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Right, and why does the Vatican hoard priceless art while people around the world starve? What would christ have to say about that?

    • @lauracecyliaa
      @lauracecyliaa 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So you’re saying we should live like Jesus did right? So why are you upset that people don’t have these things? People don’t need the gold. So what is your argument?

    • @docgillygun9531
      @docgillygun9531 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Very Simply. Practice what you preach. If not, you are nothing more than a hypocrite and will rapidly lose respect. In the end, I put my trust and faith in God, not men. @@lauracecyliaa

      @vanillagorilla2 who are you to say that sex other than the way you do it is a mortal sin? If any form of sex is a mortal sin, than all of it is. You can't just decide that sex is bad when it isn't done a certain way, that doesn't make sense.
