Oh btw, the average when rolling 2 red dice is 4. Great advice overall !

Never knew about the issue but your video convinced me it is absolutely a problem. Forced position with the threat of multikills. Able to attack almost anywhere with no ability to respond? Thats huge value. Just the threat of it makes Buck beyond S tier. Buck is already great without it.
Thanks for more content though! Love the 6 Siege vids.

Deploying as opposed to throwing should only be possible if in the room.
You can throw a grenade but not a claymore or camera etc, they need to be placed and set up.

@@j3errym while I understand this viewpoint from a thematic stance, the current ruling makes sense from a mechanic stance.
Because it’s counted as an entryway space, it’s easier and more consistent with the game’s language to just allow all things that are normally allowed on entryway spaces to make it less fiddly for player’s to remember.

@@115-Gaming Yep I get that and the rules are clear but those who have issues could house rule it, to deploy then go up or come down to deploy and go back up nex turn.

I really think it should be added as a subtitle to Buck

I'll start off with the ironic note, you saying "Basically you got a full Tachanka up and RUNNING about..." given the Lord is a 6-health, no run operator :D .
I wouldn't call any of the three you listed as counters to Buck, more like hindrances. A counter is what I would say Mute is to Drone operators for example, he turns their gadget completely useless until cleared. However, Buck is just one operator and if you have to commit three operators to even hinder him (maybe if you have all three they might amount to a counter), that's a heavy commitment. Also in the example you're using, attackers have Flores as well. Claymore + Flores Drone = 2 red + 1 orange. Personally if I don't have Flores, I'm more often than not using Frag Grenade to trigger the Claymore for 2 red + 1 yellow and I don't think as of to date that has ever failed to kill a defender.
Personally I never use the Claymore combo on hidden operators, only revealed. Not only does this guarantee not wasting it but I can dictate who I'm going after, possibly forcing defense to maneuver their operators in suboptimal ways just to get them into Doc's LOS or a Kona Station room. So getting Buck upstairs, using one of his three cubes for Skeleton Key and then Drone out a hidden operator, I'm fine with that for Buck's first turn, my goal was to get him upstairs anyways to threaten the Claymore combo.
Finally I've gone away from even bringing Claymores on attack other than with Buck. After having seen the defenders either survive the Claymore with a 5-health operator and get a kill or sacrifice a less valuable operator to blow up the Claymore and then drop down their real killer, it's lost a lot of its value (both real and perceived).

On one hand, I agree with the idea that "having to bring 3 Ops to counter 1" is a little messy. But also those Operators are just generally pretty good anyways, and so it's not like you're going out of your way to pick 3 suboptimal Ops to counter Buck. Having heals or shields are just generally pretty good anyways, and can help counter more dmg than just the potential Buck play.
Honestly I just don't use this move at all anyways because I never roll 5+ on the red dice when attempting it lol

This this really does seem like an issue. Forced positioning board-wide is really the issue. I can’t think of any other operator that can kill from anywhere without LoS on top of that Buck is really great. Rn Buck is too strong. I think his ability should only allow throwables . As is rn It forces players to have to use two or more operators to nullify it, or have a defender or permanent upstairs duty until he dies, and Buck is still great by default. It may not be broken, but it is unfairly strong

@@5thkiechannel agreed. It is obviously a strong move but one I don’t think is broken. The majority of the times I’ve tried using the move I’ve whiffed the roll and then been stuck out of position for the next two rounds 😂
You can get a kill off of it but it’s rarely happened to me.
