The standard path for a Hololive fan begins with calling Fubuki a cat, then learning she's a fox, and then actually realizing she's been a cat all along
Two of the upgrades I'd recommend is Growth (the one that gives you more main weapon damage per in-game level) since it's easily accessible right now (not something to get later), and regeneration (the heart with green particles), so you can recover health at a slow rate even with no healing items.
Also, enemies inflicted with the Stun effect (as shown by them turning a deep blue) can not hurt you while in the state, so you can slip by them if needed.
I'd say to prioritize money gain up, unless you go all in on the minigames, it is just going to be an overall benefit as you quickly start earning more to fund any other upgrades and gacha needs.
Welcome back, sir! Glad to see you're sticking with it. Also, it's okay to make mistakes, the thing is to learn from them, and on name pronounciations, we had to learn them from the talents as well. ---- 2:06 - You're thinking of Kill La Kill, and the character you're hovering over is named Ookami Mio, and while she may look similar to Ryuko Matoi from Kill La Kill, their personalities and voices are completely different. ---- 5:00 - If you haven't noticed, occasionally the title screen will flash some stars on certain girls. These are the "graduated" ones. Recently Amelia Watson and Sakamata Chloe (not in game yet) did an "affiliate" graduation where they can go off and do other things, but still be involved in big events like the End of the Year Countdown, Festivals, and such. Ceres Fauna recently graduated, so I expect a minor update to the game to add her sparkle to the title screen. ---- 7:23 - Ah the TV. That is not fan art, it's mostly screenshots from HoloGra (aka Hololive Graffiti) episodes. I think I mentioned it last video or so of yours... but there are several TH-camrs I've got into as they've been trying HoloCure. There are also screenshots from various music videos of the Hololive girls as well. ---- 8:50 - Yeah, the skills and the main weapon are all unique to that character. Once you unlock and try all current 47 (there's more generations/waves yet to be added in this game), you can get a feel for how each character plays and find a favorite if you don't already have a favorite VTuber in Hololive you're a fan of. ---- 10:20 - "What the frick is that?" Those are Koronesuki. They are the fans of Inugami Korone, the dog girl you recognized. That is how she drew them and that is their official look. For some of the fandoms in the game, the VTubers didn't have official looks when they were added to the game, but whenever possible, Kay and his team tried to use the official look. There are a few times they've had to correct the fan look in the normal stage, but they still use the former asset in the hard version of the stages (like the normal is just called Stage 1, but the hard is called Stage 1 Hard and requires you to have beat the normal version of the stage). ---- 11:08 - If you look on the top wall, there is a plant trimmed to look like it has Ceres Fauna's hair. ---- 15:29 - I would say most of the girls are Sake girls, it's just that some are lightweights and others could drink most sailors under the table. A quick check shows that yes, Kronii partakes in alcohol, but I don't know if she likes sake or not. As for her being wholesome... she is Canadian, but she also has family in "The Family" apparently. ---- 18:40 - In the upper right, you'll see an employee sleeping, that is A-Chan (or Friend A). She is the first staff member to get a VTuber model and even get additional outfits. She also has done a ton behind the scenes and while Yagoo is considered the face of Cover, she was considered the heart of Cover. She went on a Japanese version of an LOA (leave of absence) to take care of an ailing family member, but after 3 months, she realized it was going to be much longer so she officially retired from Cover Corporation and she will be missed, fortunately she had been training Nodoka (another fellow staff member) to take over her responsiblites. In game, A-Chan is the one who runs the shop where you purchase upgrades. While she's not officially a Hololive talent, we fans miss her all the same. Oh, and she's also this stage's 20 minute boss, so if you go there after she starts attacking, the desk is empty. ---- 27:26 - "I was hoping to get either book or axe" My dude... the axe was in slot 4 when you rerolled. ---- 29:30 - "Oh my, what the freak is that?" That is Mikodanye. It is the first "Mascot" officially designed by Cover, and it was first seen in a collaboration between Sakura Miko (the Hololive VTuber) and the Stella Map Cafe in Akihabara, Japan back in 2021. It has since appeared at several Hololive events and is inspired by Hatsune Miku's (the Vocaloid) Mikudayo mascots. ---- 37:16 - "These are fans?" Yep, Robosa is their name, they're the fans of Roboco-san. Her lore is that she's a cyborg from a far-away wasteland, that's why her fans look like batteries... sorry, black and white pill-shaped cats. ---- And to close out... my favorite girl? I don't know if I have one. I like them all. I don't think I have a favorite.
@@Ganyonz yes, and if you keep digging long enough you can still find her but with different name and all other holo member past. that was the fate of Hololive
@@Ganyonz Yup, she basically retired from hololive, but in Sana case was for health reason (she injured her back in a fall from stairs), plus she is an accomplished digital artist/illustrator so she choosen to focus on that.
@@Ganyonz It's taken from the idol industry which has a fairly quick turnaround since the appeal of certain idols is that they are young, since "graduating" is usually a positive thing like leaving school the process of a talent leaving can be dressed up more like a positive even if they're being pushed out because they're too old. Vtubing saw its origins and growth in Japan with agencies promoting them as idols, since it's pretty much expected for any cute anime character over there to sing and dance on stage, and while there's less or non of the idol expectations in the West the nomenclature remains, so when vtubers retire they "graduate".
The 10 minutes boss is Mikodanye, based on a JP member called Sakura miko, who is famous for accidentally burning down her house in minecraft several times. The last boss is A chan, one of the three people that started hololive, she retired a while ago.
To add, A-chan was never a vtuber, she was part of Hololive management with an high role (general supervisor of all projects). She started as a close friend of Sora, the first Hololive vtuber. She retired after a loss in her family, to take care of the remaining family.
The TV in the office shows screenshots of the "Holo no Graffity" a weekly skits 3D show that airs in the official Hololive YT channel. Every girl speaks in their own language (and somehow everyone undestands each other). It's fun to watch, and each episode is between 2 and 5 minutes. The stamps only affect the main weapon, so the multishot one doesn't work for Kronii. The anime you were talking was 'Mirai Nikki'/'Future Diary', and the girl Yuno Gasai. The enemy is Miko Danye, a IRL mascot based on Sakura Miko, who is in the game, in the JP 0 banner. You haven't commented on it so I'll say it, Perfection lv3 adds a healing effect if you're not at full health, so it's self-fulfilling and a bit of a priority for Kronii IMO
I've been noticing a lot of people saying I should focus on the character specific skills more as they gain more features as you level up. This has been counter intuitive for me sicne in other bullet heavens the priority has been more focused on getting all your weapons/trinkets and building it up all together, whereas here there is much more focus on just the character herself. Something I'll be looking at for future runs.
@@Ganyonz Yeah, the character-specific skills are one of the key things that sets Holocure apart from the rest of the genre. The skills tend to synergize with each other (and quite often with the main weapon and special as well) which pushes each character towards a unique playstyle and build that maximizes their power. For example, Fauna has one skill that attacks an enemy every time she gets a healing effect. Her other two skills, in addition to offering their own abilities (a temporary stat buff and an invincibility shield) also grant a healing effect that can activate the first skill, and her special also heals. The general "order of operations" is therefore to max main weapons and skills as fast as possible, and if you have specific weapons and items that you want for your build, grab them at level 1 only if they come up to lock them in. Once you have the main weapon and skills, then go after your first collab, and then finally fill in the rest of your build (including maxing out any item you need for a super collab). Stat ups are almost never worth it in stage mode, being much more relevant for endless mode (and, of course, in things like single weapon runs when you'll max everything else out long before you stop leveling).
28:03 Advice for future runs: stamps only apply to your main weapon. Since Kronii's main weapon is melee, this stamp is useless on her. 29:17 I think the character you're describing here is Yuno from Future Diary. I can sort of see it, thankfully, Miko isn't her level of crazy. (Miko's her own level of crazy.)
that's actually incorect, stamps can apply to other weapons if specified, which is the case here. Before taking the stamp he had 5 books, after taking the stamp he had 6.
@@kiryonnakira7566 Your correction is actually incorrect. There *are* stamps that can affect other weapons but Projectile Up Stamp is not one of them. He had 6 books *shortly after* taking the stamp because on the very next level up he upgraded Book to level 6 which gives 1 additional book.
sorry for my ignorance...so that means they are no longer streaming under the Hololive banner? but streaming independently? I didn't realize some of the girls had accounts before hololive debut.
@Ganyonz most of them had prior identities before Hololive. Gura was Senzawa. Irys was Namarin. Calliope Mori was Demondice. Namarin's cover Renai Circulation has like 170 million views. Senzawa did a lot of funny songs. One went viral on Tiktok she had nearly a million subs on TH-cam even before Hololive. Nobody realized Irys was Namarin until Irys sang Renai Circulation in her 3d concert. Senzawa sang a song with Belle Delphine. If you watch enough Hololive clips you will get recommended videos from random people who have familiar voices ;) Matsuri is even more yabai in her real body. Kiara is unmistakable.
@@Ganyonz Good question! Hololive, as a company, has a pretty big reputation in the vtuber sphere, as a result they’re very difficult to get into. Aside from the first couple Japanese talents, most of them had to pass a very competitive audition process to get in; as a result most of them had some independent experience before getting in and continue to have an independent career after leaving. Now, when I say audition, I very much mean that it’s like an actor going for a role. The company already has an avatar and character in mind, and they look for actors to play it (though they can be personalized to some extent). As a result, the company owns the character, and when the actor leaves the company, the character is retired. They can’t take it with them. This process borrows a term from idol culture, graduation, which carries the implication of moving on to better things. Now, while most of these people go on to find success after leaving, it’s still a sad moment for fans because there’s a lot of attachment to the character. And while active and former talents remain friends behind the scenes, there seems to be some kind of non-compete stuff that keeps them from interacting directly and publicly on their main accounts.
@Ganyonz it's in their contract they aren't allowed to talk about it. There is a funny video where Ironmouse accidentally calls Demondice 'Calli'. Fuwamoco were Vtubers before too. It's super cute. I saw a video about it. They were really unknown but worked very hard.
7:26 That is fan art , but not in the way you might think. Those are pixelated images from actual streams, so while the art itself is fan art, the references are streams/clips of the Hololive girls. 20:14 Kronii is perfection. That’s just how she is. That being said, I am a Calli fan first and foremost and have adopted the Deadbeat name. (I also am a fan of Kaela Kovalskia from the HoloID group HoloH3ro, and would consider myself a Pemaloe.) 29:16 That’s Mikodanye, the mid-boss of Stage 2. It’s a plush version of Sakura Miko, one of the HoloJP girls and currently a playable character. One of her more memorable clips involves accidentally burning down her Minecraft house with a bucket of lava, hence her tendency to want to burn the player. (And yes, the Elite Lava Bucket weapon is a direct reference to her.) 36:03 Yes, Super Collabs. They require the collab of a regular collab and a corresponding item. To trigger one, you have to get to level 50 in a game, collect the golden hammer that has a chance to drop from enemies (which only happens after you get to level 50), and then use a golden anvil to fuse the collab and item. I will say that there is a super collab that you can make with the weapons and items you took in this run. 41:27 Yes, it’s a bomb. Yes, it’s a DPS check. If you don’t KO it, it blows up the entirety of the map, usually resulting in an instant death. And yes, if it doesn’t kill you the first time, its timer resets so it can blow up again. (Its health does not reset, however, and any damage carries over until it is defeated.) 43:53 A-Chan, the final boss of Stage 2 and the first time Holocure truly feels like a Touhou game. She, along with YAGOO and Tokino Sora, are the trinity that founded Hololive (being a talent manager, CEO, and talent respectively). She has since retired, but we HoloCure players still pay homage to her as she is also the character that you see in the shop, still hard at work. 48:33 Ah, don’t worry about that. We all say that when someone gets into HoloCure. And, as the achievement for going to the Holo House says, Welcome Home.
It is best to pull from the same banner. Up to 20 duplicates can add up to the Fandom shop bonus. And each stage completion add up to the bonus. (Beating Stage 1 multiple times counts towards leveling the Fandom) Baelz Hakos is an Australian rat V-Tuber. Her character in game throws dice (A reference to her song). It is highly recommended to build a crit build with her. With Fauna, warm up with stage 1. Until the shop stats of Max HP, ATK Up, Speed, and Exp Gain Up are brought at a minimum of 5 (She is a healing tank and needs those), she'll be slow to build momentum.
@@Ganyonz Fandom is a per character bonus with three discrete levels. Level 1: 1 random skill gained at start of game. HP +5, ATK +5%, SPD +5% Level 2: 3 random skills gained at start of game. HP +10, ATK +10%, SPD +10% Level 3: All skills maxed at start of game. HP +20, ATK +25%, SPD +25%, CRIT +5%
@@Ganyonz Each character has their own Fandom bonus when unlocked. The duplicates contribute towards unlocking the second Fandom level, which gives random stat bonus to your character in the start of the level. The recommendation of doing one banner at a time is to help keep track.
The bobbleheads are Korone's fans, based on a drawing she made. The white ones are Fubiki's fans, they are snowfoxes with a corncob tail, I think the white flying ones are based on a drawing Fubiki made, the grey ones are Mio's fans, they are wolves, and the riceballs are Okayu's fans
I've really been enjoying the series thus far, and part of the fun is you learning about Hololive and unwittingly slipping into the rabbit hole, so please keep up the summaries at the beginning! For me, I'm not bothered about correctness. it's actually more fun to hear your ideas before learning about everyone! As for a favorite Hololive member, it's impressive how spoiled for talent Hololive is, and even with so many members, everyone is very unique. So it's easy to find a favorite, but hard to just find one 😂 I was/am primarily a Sapling (Fauna's fans, the little green blobs in the second half of stage 1), but lately I've probably most enjoyed the new member Gigi Murin, she's so funny and exactly the right level of unhinged. But honestly I will watch any of them! Which makes it hard at that character selection screen for Holocure 😅
The fans in each stage roughly correspond to the vtubers that were added to the game with that stage, the first stage is all En(myth and promise). Stage 2 is JP 0-3 I think. The battery shaped cats are the fans of Roboco, a robot girl.
Quick mechanic thing about Stamps, they're only affecting your main weapon. So the +1 projectile sticker for ranged and multishot weapons would not affect Kronii, since her main weapon is melee
41:38you are correct this is a dps check. it's a map wide almost instakill explosion. I say almost as you can TECHNICALLY tank it but that requires some good survival items (for example several hp boosting ones and a super body pillow for a large shield) and a large hp pool so not likely you'd survive it lol.
Kronii is indeed perfect. Really happy to finally see someone play Kronii. She's both my favourite in Holo EN and also one of my favourites to play as she's a glass cannon character, high speed, haste and crit. Your damage at the end is low because you hardly have any weapons at max level. The 10 minute boss is Mikodanye a mascot based on Sakura Miko, another Hololive vtuber. The TV shows shots of their youtube short series called Holo Graffiti (HoloGra).
Common Kroni build involves _Body Pillow_ and _Sake_ . One prevent you from losing health, the other has no downside as you build to bever get hit. Any Haste building Item compounds on your haste building, and some dodge, ir items that freeze enemies. Anything that increases crit chance also somewhat helps. Then anything that increases damage or deals more damage.
4 tips: 1) Always prioritize main weapon and the 3 skills first. Yes, there is some other item and weapon that can help, but without the skill as base foundation, those item aren't going to be as effective for the character. 2) stamps will only work for the main weapon and don't effect any other weapons that you have. So make sure you read the stamp correctly since that projectile stamp do absolutely nothing for kronii meelee weapon. 3) Use the anvil for enchantment. Since stamp only work on main weapon, the sub weapons get enchantment that can give more damage, range, projectile, etc. What's more is that if you collab 2 enchanted weapon, the collab will get the 2 enchantment on it. 4) buy as many of the stats upgrade as you can. While the speed and danage stats is like the mandatory for stages, the other stats like more exp, coin, healing, and haste would have help you more even at low level than you just pumping lvl at the damage and speed stats that would just get more expensive.
oh really? tip #1 is interesting, and counter intuitive based on my experience with bullet heavens. So then should I be selecting my weapons and items first, to remove all the stuff I don't want out of the pool. Then once I have no empty space, work on main weapon and unique skills. Then start leveling the general weapons and items? Sounds like I should be focusing more on the character specific upgrades and almost treating the other items and weapons as an afterthought...
@Ganyonz yeah, for this game you would generally want the character main stuff first. But if you know the character well, some item became quite a necessity. For example kronii main play style is to make sure you don't take damage so all of her skill can active, so the body pillow became a mandatory item since it give sheild. This make sure all the skill can stay active even if she take a hit.
@@Ganyonz Ignoring any sort of 'meta' that may exist, I like to prioritize a) Character skills as they tend to be strong and allow me to grow without using one of my vital weapon or item slots b) Main weap for same reason and also they tend to have a good bonus on awakening [lvl7] Being able to get stronger without using a limited space I'd want for any potential collabs/combinations in the future is huge. It also allows me to fish for specific weapons and items longer without needing to use rerolls. So for me in order of priority, I'll tend to grab 1) specific weapon or item I'm aiming for if it shows up; 2) Char skills/upgrade skills; 3) Upgrade main weap; 4) Anything else depending on needs/interest/how I want to play HUGE NOTE: The shop has a free refund all option! Feel free to mess around in the shop any time you want as you get 100% refund to reallocate purchases as desired!!
The projectile stamp was doing nothing for you this playthrough. Unless explicitly stated, stamps only affect your main weapon, and Kronii's main weapon is melee.
I feel like it should be pointed out to you that stamps only affect the character's starting weapon unless otherwise specified in the description. So the Projectile Up Stamp is entirely useless on Kronii and was absolutely not worth keeping and even upgrading.
He's learning the effectiveness of cutting boards so well 🥹 Keep up the great work! Am loving watching you explore HoloCure! Also, the creepy skin-colored bald mouth creatures are Korone's fans! She's a really popular Japanese branch dog Vtuber With the habit of taking her fan's "Yubi's" (fingers) before streams to ensure they watch only her (like Yakuza, japanese gangsters, with promises using pinkie fingers as collateral) and that fan avatar is what she drew by mouse, which became the representation of her fans lol She does a lot of funny shenanigans with the drawings on her streams, And us foreign fans are often called via "Hey Guys!!" which summons all the English speaking fans in the chat lol Also Extra Mini Fun Fact: Whenever you see two types of different fans attack together It usually means the Vtubers of those fans are either close to each other, or had a very cool event! So even the pattern of fans attacking together are a reference to the relationship of the vtubers! Gura and Calli had a popular music video together, which is where the Shrimps with outfit changes and axes came from! And the creepy mouth guys + onigiri riceball heads are Korone and Okayu, who are best friends! Okayu actually was scouted by Yagoo (founder/CEO of Hololive) way back in the day and she invited her best friend Korone to join her, despite Korone not even knowing how to use OBS at the beginning! After a while, Korone blew up in the West and became super popular worldwide! (and of course, grew as a streamer immensely starting from not even knowing how to use OBS lol) All because her best friend invited her to join a small Vtuber organization at the time! (they are quite veteran members of Hololive, being Gamers which is between 2nd and 3rd generation) 2nd and below are considered pretty old, veteran, and foundational because Hololive was still quite small and niche and 3rd generation is when Hololive started to become super popular and the Generations were starting to be more united as a group rather than everyone doing their own thing 99% of the time The pull banners are actually organized in Generations and branch, as you've probably guessed They all debuted around the same time and thereby in the same "generation"! There's EN (english), JP (japanese), and ID (indonesian) Sorry for the absolutely gigantic truck of backstory and lore lol And don't worry! We just love watching someone learn Hololive and Holocure bit by bit! I personally can't wait until you go into HoloHouse, and see the reaction to all of the content you can do in there Keep up the good work!! I'll personally be following the Holocure series since it's a lot of fun!
The black and white fans with the little lightning bolts on their heads are large batteries, fans of Roboco, part of Gen 0. She is a robot, and one of the original Hololive members... she is one of the three vocalists in the song for Stage 1, Suspect. Her main weapon is a bit on the weak side, but her other skills are super cool... there's also an achievement that basically requires using her to get, which is getting like 5 level ups within seconds. Her skill set makes batteries drop which give her stat boosts and extra EXP, while her special creates a huge electromagnetic field that draws items in and damages enemies... so the play is to get to a point where you can sit still and let your AOEs kill enemies for a couple of minutes and build up a cicrcle of exp and batteries you are not collecting, then pop her special and collect all of it at once. Hopefully all those batteries and exp will total up to five levels very quickly, and you those EXP items you just unlocked could help with that! Planning around achievement unlocks is a fair way to earn extra cash early on, and remember, you will need to unlock certain girls and perform certain tasks with them to unlock new items/weapons. For some of overall stuff to try: -Houshou Marine/HORNI PIRATE from FANTASY for LOTS of money and hilarious skills (try to get the Golden Skull sticker for money, and since she's a perverted masochist, she likes being close to "gangs" of fans and being hit) Stage 5 is themed after her, but it's _very_ hard if you don't have your stats high or your character at Oshi or Gachikoi tier. -Ceres Fauna/MOTHER NATURE KIRIN from EN GEN 2 for the achievement where you don't move at all (she is that powerful) You may need to increase some stats in order to get this to work, and maybe get 20 dupe pulls from Gacha to get her into Oshi tier beforehand, but it's cool when it clicks. If you have high/maxed Pickup Range, it works: Kay Yu though a lot about each girl's personality, character and design to create unique ways for each to play. When people told you Gura is a dodge character, it's true, but ALSO, the idea is that she's a shark with power over water. So you use her to group enemies then ZIP through them with your teeth. You may take a bit of damage, but her natural skill will bite for hp steal and produce dodges which give her a second of invulnerability and even FASTER movement speed, so she's meant to swim around like a maniac biting people, which damage mitigation and health steal items help her do. For Fauna... she's nature. So her playstyle is "Enchanted Tree." If she stands still, her razor leaves protect her, roots from the ground attack nearby threats, and she naturally collects her children (Saplings) to heal herself. She also creates a barrier for anything that gets past the leaves and roots. Her Special? Big invincible tree. Yes, you can even beat bosses using this method with smart timing! Bonus: She began making "The World Tree" in the Hololive EN Minecraft server in March of 2023. With the help of other girls from EN over the last couple of months, she finally finished it just before New Years, less than a week before her Graduation on January 3, 2025. So it feels extra special that her Special has been to become a magical tree 🥺 -Hakos Baelz/RAT from EN GEN 2 for 10k damage in one attack AND complete chaos (her special reduces all weapon cooldowns to 0, and building her crit can get you to purple-tier crit numbers only one other character can realistically reach) She's Australian, so you will occasionally see jokes about things being upside down. One clipper has an ending animation for their videos that has each of the EN girls from the first 2 generations doing the Chunni finger-spin, and when it's Bae's turn, she's upside down. Also, one of her skills is that her attacks have a chance not to just _stun_ an enemy, but to immobilize them by flipping them upside down for two seconds 😂
That was a pretty good Kronii build. I feel like the body pillow is the optimal defense item for her since it reliably keeps her from taking any damage. I also really like face mask on her since she is a haste character and ideally she shouldn't be taking many hits in the first place. Considering that, i probably wouldn't take headphones or just bandage as they both are only useful if you are actually taking hits. Sake is good for crit and Uber Sheep is okay for security (though ideally Kronii shouldn't need to heal much). Instead, Kronii cries out for movement speed so as she can easily use her time bubbles to dart around enemies while keeping safe. Energy Drink is actually pretty ideal on her as it gives both speed and haste. Additionaly, the promise tiara is pretty optimal since it gives crit and haste (even if it does take some time to build since you need lots of stamps to drop--but you'll end up getting good stamps faster so it's win-win). The Researcher's Coat you unlocked at the end is also a good choice since youll be at full HP most of the time playing Kronii and thus it will be giving a lot of extra exp. As a general tip, level up your skills faster and pay attention when they reach level three as often skills get new effects at max level. Kronii's perfection, for example, starts slowly healing her when she's not full health at level 3. Also, don't be afraid to use the support item. It operates on a cooldown, so its not like its a one use per stage type deal. The healing potion can be super useful for recovering quickly from a tough spot. My favorite is the dash though. Definitely recommend giving them all a try.
Main tip i can give for early game is to max out your main weapon fast instead of picking up new weapons. The other weapons take too long to ramp up to most characters main weapon damage output as well as stamps only effect the main weapon.
My favorite is Ceres Fauna. Unfortunately she just left the company earlier this month, but she was definitely something special. I also really like the way her character plays in this game.
In answer to both your question of a favourite vtuber, and a favourite Holocure character: Mumei :D! These videos are fun; I know you touched on this in the first episode, but I appreciate you earnestly approaching this from the outside (well, sort of the outside...; like you said at the end, that's a bit of a fuzzy definition) and giving Hololive and its members respect and a "fair shake" so to speak! Like you talked about, it's all too common for people to just make blanket assumptions and disregard/unfairly judge things and people, so I respect you actively deciding not to do that
Fun fact: A-Chan can be seen sleeping at her desk until she wakes up and tries to kill you at 20 minutes. She is the same character you see at the shop. Thanks for your service, A-Chan. o7
Side note: cutting board gives a bit more size and attack damage for flat characters ( of which there's only 8 so far), every body else gets normal version and not a decrease effectiveness It pushed enemies away, so it's a good weapon for Kronii
My favorite vtubers in Hololive are Fauna and IRyS. They are both chill and very relaxing. Edit: I meant in regards to streaming, of course. In HoloCure my favorite character is Suisei, as she is an absolute crit monster.
each stages fans are based on the group that dropped when that stage release example is stage 1 has En gen 1&2 fans, stage 2 has Jp Gen 0 and holoGamers fans, stage 3 has Jp gen 1 & 2 fans stage 4 has all of ID fans as they were less in each gen compared to the others. stage 5 has gen 3&4 fans. buying fan letter in the shop can cause a chance to drop fan letters that can tell you what each name is and who they belong to. the letters will also give mall bonus like HP, Attack, defense, pickup, boost. outside of that if you go to the fenced area in the holo house you can hire fans for passive income. the first fan that appears on top when you hire will often belong to the character you are playing as in holohouse.
My advice would be to get the coins upgrade in shop maxxed as soon as you can. It may not seem like much at first, but it will drastically increase your income for rolling on the gacha and buying othwr upgrades. You can also get money in the HoloHouse. You can recruit workers who passively make you money as you play the game. They do require a little bit of upkeep, but it's also a very good way to make coins.
If you want to farm a lot of Money, the original meta characters were AZKi and IRyS (look up tutorials), but version 7 nerfed money methods somewhat. Despite that, you can still make a lot using Marine and Pekora... As soon as the 7 update, some players were getting over *a million* coins in a single Endless run with Marine, so Kay Yu patched a nerf on the Golden Skull stamp. Still, I have personally gotten over 300,000 coins in a single Endless run with Marine, and usually get around 230,000 with minimal effort. You want money, unlock the horni pirate!
So Marking Stamp is actually _really_ good on the later stages. A lot of the bosses on later levels have some really scary attacks, especially the levels where you're dealing with multiple bosses at once, and with that stamp, you can just kill a boss by taking out minions. Favorite Hololive VTuber? Uh...probably Mococo. She's not in this game yet. Favorite character to play as in this game? ...Tough choice. Fauna was the one who got me through the tough stages first, but playing as Fauna is more "reliable" than "fun"; she's a heal tank. Mumei is a lot of fun to play, too, and she _was_ my favorite Hololive streamer before FUWAMOCO debuted.
Hope you don't get overwhelmed by fans :P, we're an extremely enthusiastic bunch so just know all the comments and critiques are good natured. My favourite Holo talent was Fauna _sheds tear,_ but i've ended up liking everyone in the latest EN generation Justice it's an amazing group, hope to see them in the game some day.
Kronii is a bit of a glass cannon, but you built her pretty well. Most people go haste and or crit with her, it just works so well with her kit. the cutting board and bouncing ball work off the same... stat... but reverse, however just because they dont scale better, it can still be useful, especially for the collabs they can do. As far as I am aware the collabs do not scale like the original items do except for maybe one off the cutting board I think, that being board+bomb, I think that one might scale. Most of my favorite hololive members are not in here yet, but Gura, Bae, and Mumei are top 10. I do look forward to seeing Advent and Justice get added in the future as most of my favs are in those groups. As far as to use in game though: Sana, Ina, Zeta, and Ollie are insanely good for their skills, and if you need gold farms Marine, IRyS, and Risu are all good for coin run builds. Every character is unique though and they all rock. If you want a hint on weapon unlocks, beat a game with Korone and IRyS when you get them and you should have every character locked base weapon unlocked, after that its just stage progressions and a few situational. Now for the collabs, be happy to help on those but in my experience that is half the fun so I wont spoil those. I will just say that my personal favorite weapons are the wammy water, book, glowstick, and the curse. I use collabs from at least one of those on just about any character, but that is another beauty of this game, so many options to use and all of them are viable depending on your build/playstyle. Trying to 100% the game myself, got a few more stage clears to farm for fandom, then 1 more achievement that I do not look forward to... the jump king part... such pain.
Favorite to play is probably Gawr Gura, because I like the way you can build her glass canon and rely on her dodges to get out of difficult situations while maxing out on damage in exchange for defenses and HP, and the dash support item which gives you I-frames. I believe I've beat every level with her with very little trouble, but that's the kind of playstyle that I enjoy. I also like Hakos Baelz (the RAT) because her special ability is a lot of fun. Regarding the talents, my favorite is Koseki Bijou, from Holo EN Gen 3, Advent. She's a very skilled endurance gamer, usually streaming for very long hours. She's hilarious and an absolute fan of cringe memes. Her gen debuted on 2023 and they're probably not going to be in the game for at least another year or so, but there are already some elements referencing her, like the Moai stamp, and a Pebble (a member of her fandom) has a chance to appear in the Holohouse map. The names of all the Vtubers, including Japanese, appear in plain English, so they're readable. Something I've seen that helped introducing some things, is that whenever you plan on playing a particular character for an episode you can ask commenters to vote for or bring you a short clip you can watch before playing so you can get a feel about who they are.
The "Perfection" skill of Kronii is an inside joke, she considers Kronii "perfect". Kronii is a melee character, focus on crits or keeping her health at full. In general, focus on the main weapon and skills at start, then on other weapons (choosing two that collabs) and defensive/grow objects (like the glasses). For my fav hololive girl, I'm an hoshiyomi (aka Suisei fan). She is unreal in her singing skill, plus being a suicopath. Yes, every character unlocks one or two weapons if used for at least 10 minutes and then if you complete a stage with it, plus there are stage-linked unlocks.
I adore everyone in Holo, but one of my favorites is Inugami Korone from Gamers generation. Try her fully upgraded weapon with the trombone stamp, it's glorious.
Mate, if you think Kronii is big, just wait until you play Sana, whose entire playstyle revolves around size modifiers. She's also the perfect character to get the "Couch Potato" achievement since her special allows her to pull experience in towards herself.
You almost always want to rush maxing your starting weapon as it carries you in the early game (there are only a few things I will take over main weapon at the start - glasses, haste or kusogaki). Most characters want to invest way more into offensive items, rather than defensive ones (fauna is somewhat of an exception since you can build her as a healing proc build and destroy all stages). IMO the headphones are the worst item and I would only take on a hardcore run.
About who you like to watch. You said that you don't understand Japanese. That's okay, there are a lot of clips with English subtitles that the community makes. Little by little, as you get to know and like a specific one, you'll be able to get the clips and watch them. There are even entire events with subtitles.
Cutting board and the ball can still do decent damage on the characters they are the weakest, especially if you plan on going for a specific collab with them.
The standard path for a Hololive fan begins with calling Fubuki a cat, then learning she's a fox, and then actually realizing she's been a cat all along
Who are you and why are you so wise in your way of FBK? (lol)
Is that Arthur? King of the bri... i mean Fubukingdom?
Two of the upgrades I'd recommend is Growth (the one that gives you more main weapon damage per in-game level) since it's easily accessible right now (not something to get later), and regeneration (the heart with green particles), so you can recover health at a slow rate even with no healing items.
Also, enemies inflicted with the Stun effect (as shown by them turning a deep blue) can not hurt you while in the state, so you can slip by them if needed.
@@galaxylight777 all the stat upgrades are good. I'd say just buy whatever is cheapest.
----
2:06 - You're thinking of Kill La Kill, and the character you're hovering over is named Ookami Mio, and while she may look similar to Ryuko Matoi from Kill La Kill, their personalities and voices are completely different.
----
5:00 - If you haven't noticed, occasionally the title screen will flash some stars on certain girls.
----
7:23 - Ah the TV.
----
8:50 - Yeah, the skills and the main weapon are all unique to that character. Once you unlock and try all current 47 (there's more generations/waves yet to be added in this game), you can get a feel for how each character plays and find a favorite if you don't already have a favorite VTuber in Hololive you're a fan of.
----
10:20 - "What the frick is that?" Those are Koronesuki.
----
11:08 - If you look on the top wall, there is a plant trimmed to look like it has Ceres Fauna's hair.
----
15:29 - I would say most of the girls are Sake girls, it's just that some are lightweights and others could drink most sailors under the table. A quick check shows that yes, Kronii partakes in alcohol, but I don't know if she likes sake or not. As for her being wholesome... she is Canadian, but she also has family in "The Family" apparently.
----
18:40 - In the upper right, you'll see an employee sleeping, that is A-Chan (or Friend A).
----
27:26 - "I was hoping to get either book or axe" My dude... the axe was in slot 4 when you rerolled.
----
29:30 - "Oh my, what the freak is that?" That is Mikodanye.
----
37:16 - "These are fans?" Yep, Robosa is their name, they're the fans of Roboco-san. Her lore is that she's a cyborg from a far-away wasteland, that's why her fans look like batteries... sorry, black and white pill-shaped cats.
----
And to close out... my favorite girl? I don't know if I have one. I like them all. I don't think I have a favorite.
at 1:58, it was Tsukumo Sana, you dont see her much because she graduate for quite sometime, hard time for Sanallite (fan name), me included
does graduate mean they moved on from hololive?
@@horaana_vt correction, a-chan WAS a vtuber but she wasn't one of the talents
You can change the opticaty of your weapons in the options menu if you're having trouble seeing through the attack
46:42 random special touch, about the main screen, the girls who are graduated have that sparkle/glimmer effect on them.
Stamp only work on main weapon, the weapon that you take all the way is not gain benefits from it.
Except the unit stamp which decreases main weapon damage in return for boosting all other weapons.
most only work on main weapons, there are a few that are global
28:03 Advice for future runs: stamps only apply to your main weapon. Since Kronii's main weapon is melee, this stamp is useless on her.
29:17 I think the character you're describing here is Yuno from Future Diary. I can sort of see it, thankfully, Miko isn't her level of crazy. (Miko's her own level of crazy.)
Yup, that's who I was thinking of!
Miko is elite! Elite Miko
Miko is Elite crazy
that's actually incorect, stamps can apply to other weapons if specified, which is the case here.
The ones that sparkle are no longer with us. Ame, Sana, Aqua and Coco. The pirate is Marine. Fauna just graduated a few days ago.
By "no longer with us" he means no longer with the company. They are still streaming on their previous accounts.
sorry for my ignorance...so that means they are no longer streaming under the Hololive banner? but streaming independently?
(I also am a fan of Kaela Kovalskia from the HoloID group HoloH3ro, and would consider myself a Pemaloe.)
29:16 That’s Mikodanye, the mid-boss of Stage 2. It’s a plush version of Sakura Miko, one of the HoloJP girls and currently a playable character. One of her more memorable clips involves accidentally burning down her Minecraft house with a bucket of lava, hence her tendency to want to burn the player. (And yes, the Elite Lava Bucket weapon is a direct reference to her.)
36:03 Yes, Super Collabs.
(Its health does not reset, however, and any damage carries over until it is defeated.)
43:53 A-Chan, the final boss of Stage 2 and the first time Holocure truly feels like a Touhou game.
I thought giant SSB timer reset only in Hard Mode
I guess that’s a future tip, then. I do remember people having various ways around the normal S2 Atomic SSRB.
It is best to pull from the same banner. Up to 20 duplicates can add up to the Fandom shop bonus. And each stage completion add up to the bonus. (Beating Stage 1 multiple times counts towards leveling the Fandom)
Baelz Hakos is an Australian rat V-Tuber.
I don't think I know about fandom bonuses yet. I'm assuming it's a bonus that applies to all of the girls on one specific banner?
@@Ganyonz Fandom is a per character bonus with three discrete levels.
Level 1: 1 random skill gained at start of game. HP +5, ATK +5%, SPD +5%
Level 2: 3 random skills gained at start of game. HP +10, ATK +10%, SPD +10%
Level 3: All skills maxed at start of game.

When you said huge tools I expected size up + corporate pin + knight milk + 500 pick up rate combo with clock being so big it goes off the map

So it's easy to find a favorite, but hard to just find one 😂
I was/am primarily a Sapling (Fauna's fans, the little green blobs in the second half of stage 1), but lately I've probably most enjoyed the new member Gigi Murin, she's so funny and exactly the right level of unhinged. But honestly I will watch any of them! Which makes it hard at that character selection screen for Holocure 😅
10:20 "What the frick is that?"
That's obviously a cat 😉
correct. definitely a cat.
FUCK YESSSSS GIMME MOAR
4 tips:
1) Always prioritize main weapon and the 3 skills first.
@@Ganyonz Ignoring any sort of 'meta' that may exist, I like to prioritize
a) Character skills as they tend to be strong and allow me to grow without using one of my vital weapon or item slots
b) Main weap for same reason and also they tend to have a good bonus on awakening [lvl7]
Being able to get stronger without using a limited space I'd want for any potential collabs/combinations in the future is huge. It also allows me to fish for specific weapons and items longer without needing to use rerolls.
So for me in order of priority, I'll tend to grab 1) specific weapon or item I'm aiming for if it shows up; 2) Char skills/upgrade skills; 3) Upgrade main weap; 4) Anything else depending on needs/interest/how I want to play
HUGE NOTE: The shop has a free refund all option! Feel free to mess around in the shop any time you want as you get 100% refund to reallocate purchases as desired!!
15:27 yep
😂
The projectile stamp was doing nothing for you this playthrough. Unless explicitly stated, stamps only affect your main weapon, and Kronii's main weapon is melee.
I feel like it should be pointed out to you that stamps only affect the character's starting weapon unless otherwise specified in the description.
So the Projectile Up Stamp is entirely useless on Kronii and was absolutely not worth keeping and even upgrading.
If you interested, there's over 400 holo fan games. From doom clone to farm sim.
the most fun part about playing kronii is that she’s basically hardcore mode lite - you’re either at full health or suffering the consequences
28:14 nah. It meant your main weapon
He's learning the effectiveness of cutting boards so well 🥹
Keep up the great work! Am loving watching you explore HoloCure!
Also, the creepy skin-colored bald mouth creatures are Korone's fans!
She's a really popular Japanese branch dog Vtuber
With the habit of taking her fan's "Yubi's" (fingers) before streams to ensure they watch only her
(like Yakuza, japanese gangsters, with promises using pinkie fingers as collateral)
and that fan avatar is what she drew by mouse, which became the representation of her fans lol
She does a lot of funny shenanigans with the drawings on her streams,
And us foreign fans are often called via "Hey Guys!!"
which summons all the English speaking fans in the chat lol
Also Extra Mini Fun Fact:
Whenever you see two types of different fans attack together
It usually means the Vtubers of those fans are either close to each other, or had a very cool event!
Okayu actually was scouted by Yagoo (founder/CEO of Hololive) way back in the day
and she invited her best friend Korone to join her,
despite Korone not even knowing how to use OBS at the beginning!
After a while, Korone blew up in the West and became super popular worldwide!
(and of course, grew as a streamer immensely starting from not even knowing how to use OBS lol)
All because her best friend invited her to join a small Vtuber organization at the time!
(they are quite veteran members of Hololive, being Gamers which is between 2nd and 3rd generation)
2nd and below are considered pretty old, veteran, and foundational
because Hololive was still quite small and niche
and 3rd generation is when Hololive started to become super popular
and the Generations were starting to be more united as a group rather than everyone doing their own thing 99% of the time
The pull banners are actually organized in Generations and branch, as you've probably guessed
They all debuted around the same time and thereby in the same "generation"!
There's EN (english), JP (japanese), and ID (indonesian)
Sorry for the absolutely gigantic truck of backstory and lore lol
And don't worry!
We just love watching someone learn Hololive and Holocure bit by bit!
I personally can't wait until you go into HoloHouse, and see the reaction to all of the content you can do in there
Keep up the good work!!
I'll personally be following the Holocure series since it's a lot of fun!
I thought it was Fubuki who scouted Okayu (and later Korone)
For some of overall stuff to try:
-Houshou Marine/HORNI PIRATE from FANTASY for LOTS of money and hilarious skills (try to get the Golden Skull sticker for money, and since she's a perverted masochist, she likes being close to "gangs" of fans and being hit)
Stage 5 is themed after her, but it's _very_ hard if you don't have your stats high or your character at Oshi or Gachikoi tier.
-Ceres Fauna/MOTHER NATURE KIRIN from EN GEN 2 for the achievement where you don't move at all (she is that powerful)
You may need to increase some stats in order to get this to work, and maybe get 20 dupe pulls from Gacha to get her into Oshi tier beforehand, but it's cool when it clicks. If you have high/maxed Pickup Range, it works:
Kay Yu though a lot about each girl's personality, character and design to create unique ways for each to play.
So it feels extra special that her Special has been to become a magical tree 🥺
-Hakos Baelz/RAT from EN GEN 2 for 10k damage in one attack AND complete chaos (her special reduces all weapon cooldowns to 0, and building her crit can get you to purple-tier crit numbers only one other character can realistically reach)
She's Australian, so you will occasionally see jokes about things being upside down.
I feel like Nurse's Horn is really strong with someone like Kronii, less food reliance if you end up taking damage because kills heal you up.
When you rerolled, and said you were hoping for book or axe, axe was in the original 4 you rerolled... 27:12
that's what we call...a massive brain fart 😂
Your gameplay videos inspired me to pick up this game again.
It's as fun as it is addictive.
Like you talked about, it's all too common for people to just make blanket assumptions and disregard/unfairly judge things and people, so I respect you actively deciding not to do that
I can’t wait until mumei’s special ability sees him. lol
Fun fact: A-Chan can be seen sleeping at her desk until she wakes up and tries to kill you at 20 minutes. She is the same character you see at the shop. Thanks for your service, A-Chan. o7
Try and enchant both weapons you plan to collab so you get two bonuses on the resulting weapon.
Side note: cutting board gives a bit more size and attack damage for flat characters ( of which there's only 8 so far), every body else gets normal version and not a decrease effectiveness
It pushed enemies away, so it's a good weapon for Kronii
Oh good, thought it would be smaller for her because... Ya know
Well i know that Hololive have at least one flat per gen (asides Area 15, Promise and Gen 5)
My favorite vtubers in Hololive are Fauna and IRyS. They are both chill and very relaxing.
Edit: I meant in regards to streaming, of course. In HoloCure my favorite character is Suisei, as she is an absolute crit monster.
You can change transparency of weapons in pause menu - settings - Graphics - attack opacity
each stages fans are based on the group that dropped when that stage release example is stage 1 has En gen 1&2 fans, stage 2 has Jp Gen 0 and holoGamers fans, stage 3 has Jp gen 1 & 2 fans stage 4 has all of ID fans as they were less in each gen compared to the others. stage 5 has gen 3&4 fans. buying fan letter in the shop can cause a chance to drop fan letters that can tell you what each name is and who they belong to. the letters will also give mall bonus like HP, Attack, defense, pickup, boost. outside of that if you go to the fenced area in the holo house you can hire fans for passive income. the first fan that appears on top when you hire will often belong to the character you are playing as in holohouse.
I didn't realize that you could make passive income from the house system. Will look into this :)
Mumei is a lot of fun to play, too, and she _was_ my favorite Hololive streamer before FUWAMOCO debuted.
well my favourite holomember is watame, she just got added to the game last update
is the blonde sheep with an harp
29:42 i guess you are refering to mirai nikki , yuno gasai. but no that is not her , this is mikoda-nye, a mascot version of miko ( holo jp member)
yup that's who I was thinking of. Figured there was no way it was her, just who it looked like.
Mumei and Roboco are really strong characters so try to pull for them when you can.
48:03 Rima? or Lidia Nekosawa maybe?
Ooooooo I always like the size matters characters!
you should probably replace potion with dash if you're fetting healing items
The +projectiles stamp does not affect your sub weapons, it only affects your main weapon so yeah it's wasted on your Kronii run lol
In game, my favorite girl is Irys. But my fav Vtuber is Usada Pekora, her laugh is just too precious AH↓HA↑HA↓HA↑HA↓
As your knowledge of Hololive is increasing your commentary is improving in real time lol.
I see Fauna didn't get her glint yet 😭
Letsgoo
Was it yuno gasai from future diary?
Cutting board and the ball can still do decent damage on the characters they are the weakest, especially if you plan on going for a specific collab with them.
good work my friend
Cutting Board It will only work well with characters that don't have a large front. Fan joke...
Hilariously the only exception to this is Sana, the girl with the largest front, due to her kit focusing on making everything BEEG
@@MmMm-yd4rn LOL ... Sana is BIG !
It's a funny detail but not really significant in the end, since you only choose it to make a collab and turn it into something else entirely.
