I love that you don’t swear in your videos. Being a father it sucks when I’m watching a video and all of a sudden they start swearing. Great reviews. Just bought magic cat on your review of it
That is Tony. I'm happy you can appreciate that the videos are a bit cleaner than some other channels. I have nothing against cursing, but there's enough profanity on the internet already. Haha! 😂 I'm really happy you and your kids can enjoy the reviews together.
Great review! It’s always so tough considering reviewing older games that have been reviewed hundreds of times already but your take is always fresh! Thanks dude!
Thanks Star! It's always a bit difficult to approach a media poster child like this one, with anything negative to say. But honestly, it was really fun despite a few subtle faults.
Thanks QLG. I kinda wish I had found this one sooner, but I did catch it on the last sale, so I suppose the timing worked out for me. 😅 Have you played Little Dew? I hear it's also a pretty great one.
Sir this was a fantastic review. Very straight forward, concise, informative and mature. You didn't succumb to adding loud background music, stupid jokes, and silliness. Well done and thumbs up.
Yeah! haha! i try to stay current with the sale games, but i really need to get back to a schedule where i can upload more often... or get someone to help me edit. :p
Just bought this one since it was on sale and I love it. The only problem is I stopped playing bcuz of Cadence of Hyrule, now that I finished it tho I’m going to go back and beat it finally. Great review as always!!!
Budget Gamer good call. I’ll probably end soon up buying that too and feel like stupid for buying it twice. Certain games tho I don’t mind, I’ve bought hollow knight 4x now PC,PS4,Switch, and switch physical. So when a game is that good I don’t mind as much even tho it’s still kind of dumb lol.
It's rare enough to notice that this time I played this game before you 😁 I didn't play old 2d top down Zelda so I cannot compare but I liked Blossom Tales. I liked the graphics and the music is one that you remember even after closing the game.
Oh, wow! Thank you so much! I cant wait to hear what you think of some of our more recent reviews. 😁 Getting better every day! Anyway, happy game my friend. :3
Great review as usual! I adore this game, and I feel that it took the formula that most Zelda-like games use and pretty much perfected it. I would recommend Ittle Dew 2+ if you're looking for a similarly Zelda-esque adventure with a large emphasis on humor.
Great review! While it's not the same style of game, I took a chance on Embers Of Mirrim, I'm wondering if you've tried that one? I really really enjoyed it!
Such a great game. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I still say it's the best of the Zelda clones on the Switch. I'm currently revisisting another solid LttP inspired action game ittle Dew 2.
@@BudgetGamerChannel same here. I bought it a few months ago as it was on sale in the eshop and I heard it was a good Zelda clone but with its own style but it's still waiting on my switch 😋
Hey also I highly recommend you play My friend Pedro! Even if you don’t review it the game is super fun. Also a neat looking game called Cybarian just showed up on the eshop looks cool but I have no idea what it is, only $4. Thanks for the great content tho!
Budget Gamer Ya it’s a blast. Do you still get time to play games just because? Like AAA games or ones just for fun and not review? I could imagine your super busy with this channel and life. Also CTR is now my favorite cart racer of all time deff check it out if your able
I do on occasion (rare occasions) get to play some games just for me. Mostly Friday and Saturday, after uploading Friday's review, if I dont have too much life happening. Lol!
I’m still trying to make my way through Crypt of the Necrodancer and Cadence of Hyrule. There are so many great games to check out! Not to forget Mario Maker 2 coming out next week. Blossom has been on my wishlist ever since it released but I just never got to it. The thing is I bought Little Dew 2 and was let down so that got me to think twice about this. Maybe it’s time to take the plunge.
Budget Gamer to me anyway, it felt generic. From the level/dungeon designs to the graphics to the gameplay, it felt like the dev tried to mimic Zelda as much as they could but it just felt off in every aspect. It seemed like a game I should’ve loved but it felt like an iPhone game. Maybe I should give it another chance but I was so let down by it, I never went back to it. I too heard many good things about Little Dew and I gave it a good shot but I didn’t get into it and I love retro style games which made it even more of a disappointment. I love that you keep bringing attention to the games people may overlook.
Hmmm... yeah. Without even playing the game yet, I can see how all that hype could lead to a lot of disappointment. 🤔I'll give it a go at some point and see how I feel about it. I appreciate the honesty there SilVR. 😎👍
Budget Gamer so I’ve been thinking about Ittle Dew 2 since the last comments we made and played it again. I still ended up feeling the same way. I can see the passion but ultimately, it feels generic. Like an IPhone game. I’d be curious to see your take on it.
I just got this for the switch, and I want to like this game...but...the enemies, though easy, are tedious due to the sheer numbers. Barely on dungeon 2
Just a day late for the sale 😂. Bummer, at least now I have a dependable opinion on the game. I looked like a cheap shot at Zelda at first glance so I've been pretty hesitant.
Hahah! Oh man, that would have been so cold. Nah, I picked it up Wednesday and gave it a playthrough. Only recorded the review this morning. Suppose I should have paid better attention to the sale dates. 😅
I really enjoyed playing this game when it was called Zelda: A Link to the Past back in 1991. I am having a a hard time that a game like Enchanted Portals is being crusified as a blatant copy of Cuphead, yet there's no real outrage for this 99% clone.
Yeah, well to be honest, there is a reason why all these games are called Zelda Clones and Zelda-Likes. They generally offer nothing new, but instead give gamers a way to re-live the memory of discovering Zelda games for the 1st time. Everything is the same except for the physical layout of the environment. It's more like finding a new dungeon withing the existing franchise than actually playing a new game. haha! but, that being said, that is actually what some gamers want. It's like being a fan of romance novels. They are all the same, with the same characters, same plot, same ending... the only thing that is different is character names and locations... but somehow, fans are still fans. Lol! XD
This looks like fun but it's a bit too on the nose for me as far as a "Zelda-like." I wish it had more of an identity, because on the surface, it seems to be kind of a...I hate to say, rip off.
Yeah.... I would have probably said it was more like a Zelda "re-skin", to be honest..... but even the oldest Zelda games had so much more content that it was hard to give Blossom Tales that much credit. It was fun, but was it original? Did it bring anything new to the table..? ... no. XD
I love that you don’t swear in your videos. Being a father it sucks when I’m watching a video and all of a sudden they start swearing. Great reviews. Just bought magic cat on your review of it

I played this game a couple years ago and loved it! Definitely one of my favorite Zelda-like games! Thanks for the review!

I'm like 99% sure cadence will get a physical release, so I think I'll hold out for that, at least for a bit. 🤔

I didn’t enjoy ittle dew as much as I’m enjoying blossom tales. It’s hard to put my finger on it but I think the style really ruined it for me.
Blossom Tales was an awesome adventure. Highly recommend to Zelda fans.
Thanks for an honest review .
You got it! It's what a Budget Gamer do~ 😁
Tus análisis son los mejores. Muy útiles para conocer muchos juegos Indies. Gracias.
You are very welcome.
I'll keep them coming. Happy to introduce gamers to new and unique indies like this. 😊
This game has some extra content after you beat the game I didn't do it myself but I know that it does have it.

No, I havent played that one yet, but I'll jeep an eye out for it! What type of game is it?
Such a great game. Glad switch fans kept the devs doors open. They deserve it after this outing
Right? I was looking into it after the review and saw all the drama with funding and support. Glad they stuck with it, and that fans stuck with them.
Yep.
Getting it.
I'm looking forward to your thoughts of the sequel next year :)
😱 when did that get announced!?

Great review, I see myself playing this game but $14.99 uff. I am on a budget right now better wait for a discount.
Yeah, I'm sorry about that man. Apparently the sale for it ended yesterday 😅
But, you know the eShop, everything is on a cycle.
So does that make you a..... Budget Gamer 😜
