I have my tech drive out and fixed the pedal which had fallen out again using your other video. Just deciding whether to pull this down and give it a full service. Really found the way you had the parts set out prior to putting it together. Great channel.
So glad i could help you save money and keep your kirby running smoothly. Really appreciate great comment and support of my channel. Helps me reach more owners across the globe 👍🔔
I'm completely restoring a G2000 I found by a dumpster and that axel on the transmission is missing one of those tiny beads that act as a bearing! What can I do, do you think it will work okay without one? That's all I'm missing. 16:22 if you don't know what I'm talking about tha kfukky you show them or I would've never known honestly!
Check around where you dismantled it or in the casing as you do need the bearing to disengage the tech drive . If not then you can get one from my Kirby shop on Amazon www.amazon.com/shop/kirbyenthusiast
Hello! Kirby is an excellent vacuum cleaner, it's a pity that we have nowhere to put this vacuum cleaner in the pantry in our apartment, and we would definitely buy it and repair ir like you yourself. Respect to you, and best wishes of happiness from Russia!🙂👍
You can store the standing on there front bumper , so they take up less room . Thanks for supporting and subscribing to my channel, all the way from Russia . My sister inlaw is from Russia. 👍👍
Very informative video. I am currently repairing a G4 TechDrive and the internal ribbed belt has snapped. Are you aware if this internal ribbed belt which drives both clutches and other gear is available as spare.
You can still get internal belt for the tech drive . As the only part Kirby changed was the connection arm on the side and the gearing on the axle . There should be a link in description.for the belt . Hope this helps . Thanks so much for supporting my channel. Make sure to ding the 🛎 not to miss new uploads and competition updates 👍👍
@@KirbyEnthusiast Thanks for the response. I fear you have misunderstood me. I was enquiring about the ribbed belt that is found inside/ internal of TechDrive and NOT the Primary Drive Belt which externally connects TechDrive to motor shaft. This internal ribbed belts drives both clutches within the TechDrive. I have checked all links /Amazon etc mentioned in your video links but cannot find any reference to this specific Belt. Your advice would be sincerely appreciated .
@@regmoodliyar442 aha right ,I know Kirby still use this tech drive , I’d contact Kirby for replacement, as the internal tech drive is the same . So they should have these available, not sure on price as I’d have to check myself.,I did just replace complete tech drive in my G4 when I could repair the clutch assembly. I’ll check with Kirby company in Australia 2 morro and see what they say on replacement belt . Hope this helps .
@@KirbyEnthusiast Thanks. I have checked with local Kirby dealer and was informed that belt is not available but complete TechDrive unit needs to be purchased. Will be keen to hear if you were successful with Australia contact,
Hello, thanks for all the great help with my Gen 3 project! I have done Transmission Part 1 and 2 but am having trouble finding the rear axle greasing video that you mentioned in Part 2. What is that video called or would you provide a link please?

Wow !! Wish I would have seen your video before working on my g2000 trans … absolutely brilliant using the syringe for the grease , I just used the sealed bearing method lol oh well lesson learned for next time so thanks for that tip … I do think the previous owner got into it ,as the black washer and copper washer were sandwiched together with the back washer sitting on top of the spring , unless that’s common fire for my model , I doubt that tho … I’ll have to get back into it and resituate those and I didn’t think to grease the other half the case before re-asymbly …. Thanks again for the great content
