This is a wonderful exercise! I use I’m a loser. I replaced it with I am worthy! Repeating like a mantra. My therapist told me about you and ACT. I bought the book. Watching you is my beginning. I also keep in mind the rope exercise. I enivision the rope and say softly to myself let go of the rope. Practice,practice. Thank you for allowing me to visit your site and learn and reprogram! ❤

I just started reading your book and loving it after a similarly painful long phase of hiding, anxiety and more and gradually ‘waking up’ right now, so I loved a practical example and insight, I think it makes it even more graspable than can be described by the written word :)
Maybe the problem is not your client being shy. Maybe the problem is American culture and how overly loud it is - it is not healthy to yell for your kids while they are playing sport.
