I totally agree with you. Lara is the Queen. I do like Celine who also sings this song really well. But the emotion Lara brings to her performances is unmatched. A fun Lara song to check out is her biggest English song called I Will Love again.

LARA has always been the "other" greatest voice alive with mariah and celine since whitney passed away. But her interpretation is by far the best of all. She's a happy woman today thank lord, but yes just like you I don't understand why the world took so long to recognize her and she still deserves much more light! She's such a beautifull soul and lovepacked woman that has suffered unnecessarily.
This concert BTW, is just absolute perfection from start to finish.

Hello certainly Lara didn't have the career she deserved, but she says it herself she had no regrets because she was able to do what she wanted and not what others wanted her to do. She slammed the door on success in the United States, because she no longer recognized herself. After her difficult times, she took matters into her own hands with a team, without a record label. She came back stronger than ever, was lucky to meet Igor Krutoi and became a big star in the Eastern countries. It is during COVID and thanks to videos like yours, that Lara has become a phenomenon, she is currently recognized for her voice but also for her great talent of interpretation. Finally, thanks to its perseverance, it obtains the place it deserves among the greats😊

Hey man I discovered you through Lara reactions, been binging them (almost) all lol
Really enjoyed your material so far
Some of them I saved because I didn't actually know the songs, I'm also a new fan of her
Had pretty much the same reaction as you, how can this woman be so amazing yet so relatively unknown in some places.
I'm in Argentina and I haven't heard her name until Floor Jansen did a cover of the great Adagio.
The most famous songs mostly from the concert From Lara With Love I might have heard a million times but don't seem to get tired at all, she is just that good
Anyways I know the great Eric does the suggestions but I have to ask for you to do Caruso and Perdere l'amore, from the same show
These 2 italian songs will unlock a new level of emotional performance of her you might not imagine

We can thank “Sony” for American’s missing Lara’s early years. There was a Gentle Lady’s agreement between Celine Dion who signed with “Sony” as well. Celine would be promoted in the U.S. & Canada. While, Lara would be promoted as an International Artist. At first I thought this was a disservice to Lara. But, “Sony” may have been wise, considering Lara’s Linguistic Skills. Now Lara became the Worldwide Famous Artist she is today. Thanks to her fame, American’s are discovering Lara on platform’s like TH-cam & during 1 of PBS fundraiser’s, Lara had some exposure in the U.S..

When Lara was starting Divas in the US saw the competition she was. Record labels had a lot of money in their crop of stars. They offered her a contract, one that gave them conytol of her, all her music, and future music she wrote. They were going to own her and put her on a shelf. Steal her music for their own talents. Lara not being dumb told them were to store her unsigned documents. So they blackballed her. The rest of the world has enjoyed and loved her for years. To see how she is loved play Je T'aime Lara Fabian French and English subtitles A little backstory. Lara had been on a rough patch. Bad breakup, contract blacklist crap, and her worst fear, a writers block. Her fans knew this and arraingned with her piano player to sing to her. Notice her look when he stops and she misses her cue. They also change the words to we love you. Bring some Kleenex tough guy. She is known, just not here.🤠

The reason she is not famous in America is because Celine Dion's team boycotted her. Lara Fabian was compared to Celine Dion and her team thought there was only room for 1 Celine Dion and not 2. But because of the internet and social media she is finally getting the recognition they took away from her in the early 2000's. ❤️

@@TheSidRich Bear in mind that the boycott wasn't made by a person or persons per se, it was made by a corporation, the Sony Corporation. Of course, it was done under the Angelil-Dion pressure to have them chose between themselves or Lara. Sony caved in and America lost in the deal. Lara is way above Celine the nasal cringy chest beater and that's it that's all.

Well you know NOTHING about René Angelil. Céline Dion was TOTALLY INVOLVED. I live just half an hour from where Céline Dion lived and I know EVERYTHING about René Angelil. He was a ''bigshot'' without morals.
Lara Fabian: how did Celine Dion's team sabotage her career in the USA?
Since October 15, the Canadian streaming platform Club Illico has been offering a documentary dedicated to the interpreter of "Je t’aime", in which she talks about her joys, her sorrows and her sometimes tormented career.
To celebrate her 50th birthday, Lara Fabian kicked off a world tour called “50 World Tour”. Problem: the many dates of this tour covered the year 2020 ... turned upside down by the coronavirus crisis. The singer was therefore unfortunately unable to find her international audience, so dear to her heart. Because needless to say that Lara is a global artist, having sold millions of records around the world. However, there is one country in which she has never really been able to break into, namely the United States. The Journal de Montreal thus returned to this failed American dream, following the broadcast of a documentary entitled "Lara", in which she confides without filter.
In its columns, the Quebec media points to the Celine Dion team, at the origin of this failure. In 1999, Lara Fabian released her first album in English for the American market. Her single "I Will Love Again" ranks 32nd on the Billboard (the "Top 50" made in USA). But the success is not really there. “The Celine Dion clan, which was also under contract with Sony Music, did not remain quiet in its corner." It must be said that the singer with Belgian-Canadian voice appeared very clearly as a rival of Céline, then at the height of her glory in the United States, in particular thanks to the soundtrack of the film" Titanic". Lara was thus "parachuted towards another record company, surrounded by strangers who wanted to transform her into a pseudo dance diva".
The interpreter of “Tout” had already expressed herself on this subject in an interview for Radio-Canada in 2015: “I was redirected to Europe […] It is due to a problem of concordance of house of discs. We changed houses, actually. Quite simply, I went from one label to another […] And from there, there was no more consistency. "
In the docu "Lara", the singer looks back on these years spent in the United States and this lack of coherence in terms of image: "No one knew what I was: the pseudo dance singer à la Cher, who sang 'I Will Love Again', or the emotional and dramatic girl in 'Adagio' “.
Carried from labels to labels because of Celine Dion's team, Lara Fabian is not bitter today. In a virtual press conference, she explains that “it was the rules of the game”. Last January, she denied any rivalry with Celine Dion, in an interview for TV Grandes Chains. " How could someone who was inspiring to me have made me suffer?" The media used that to make me suffer, ” she said of her alleged lifelong rival, whom she had faced at Eurovision in 1988 (Lara had finished fourth; Celine, first).
Now back to YOU! Being the total opposite of Dion, Lara remained a ''good sport'' after letting go. But it remains that Dion and Angelil were the vampires who needed to suck everything in. Yes, it was all about the money and only about the money. And now the cherry on the sunday, Dion IS and NEVER WAS at Lara's level, especially on the humane level.

The story, as I read it on the net (grain of salt perhaps) is that Lara and Celine both competed in Eurovision 1988. Celine won and Lara was fourth (I can only guess at 2 and 3). A record company signed Celine, and big vinyl and Celine's people then shut Lara out of the US market, because of the similariies in the singers. Apparently they didn't get Canada, and Lara has been very successful in Europe. Not sure if Celine's health, or the internet, opened the US to Lara.

I have heard that too by that time and Lara , who had already a difficult time, was very sad that it happened to her, it wasn't fair at all. If you are a great singer you don't have to be afraid another singer { Lara } is better than you and make it impossible to have the same chances you have, it is also a matter of taste. I like Lara so much more/ you can hear she studied much more, also at the conversatorium in Brussel ( Belgium ) where she was already much better than the others. The way she performs with her magical voice is so much better. I think what also helped her the last 7 years is Dimash Quidaibergen, one of her greatest fan for whom she was a good singer to learn from and follow, he mentioned that several times and in 2019 they met and sang together in Moskow at Igor Krutoy jublilee what was a great wish of Dimash, it made him happy and many followers of Dimash learned about Lara Fabian, I'm glad they did. @@CVTECK1 It’s well known that Céline’s team “sabotaged” Lara’s career in the U.S. and Sony didn’t invest in Lara anymore. Truth is, Céline’s manager and husband told them that Céline couldn’t have any competition, so they tried to turn Lara into some sort of “dance diva”, but she didn’t accept it. She was unsatisfied and didn’t sell her artistic integrity and soul to those sharks. Good for her! 🙌🏻

@@JohannaCatharinavandenBlink Really cruel. I never liked Céline that much. I admit she has a great voice, tho (a bit too nasal for my taste). But Lara is the “whole package”. She is a storyteller with a voice of an angel. No other singer/performer moves me the way she does. Frankly, I even get why Céline and her team got frightened. Lara has an even more stunning voice, she also writes songs, her stage presence is phenomenal, so much more charisma there, and, why not saying… She’s much more beautiful as well… 🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyway, what they did was practically a crime indeed, but I’m happy Lara is in a great place now… living her best life! 🙌🏻

I think a lot but cannot say it, but finally it turned all right for Lara, she has a great life with many good friends and family

For me and many others she was, is and will be. Together singing with Billy Holliday the song Requiem of Billy was and is epic, it's often called the best duet ever and they performed it in Paris in 1998 in the rain, really beautiful and epic. It has now millions of views, if you haven't seen that I recommend it. Sad that Billy, said to be the greatest rockstar in France, died in 2017. I hope he will rest in peace❤❤❤

Slight mistake, it's not Billy Holiday, it's Johnny Hallyday. Billie Holiday was a female American jazz and swing music singer born in 1915 and passed away in 1959 after years of substance abuse.
