- Holden 2014 SSV Redline Sounds before and after Modifications.
500 RWHP, 6 speed Automatic transmission.
This tune was done on the light side to look after the transmission.

The VF2 sold this issue with the bi-module exhaust. Great upload by the way, I enjoyed it.
Thanks its still going strong with 70,000ks on the clock. Drivers side door push button on the outside now works less rather than more, but I haven't been back to Holden yet.

Ye gunna smith i spoke to con at C&A auto fashion and he said that for a 1900 supercharger is only $200 less than a 2300 heartbeat, but let's not forget all the other aspects that need doing, heads small cam to suit supercharger, also i would get the piston rings changed to suit the extra air and head work as well, then headers which would be 2.5" all the way through and just spoke to PWR and they said that the trans coolers for the VF, you really need to know what your doing as they dont come out with factory trans coolers and you really need to have the right set up due to the lines that go to the radiator can be cut otherwise you lose your warranty on the car full stop. So again i think IMO it really depends on what you're going to do with your car keep it or trade up later on or sell it etc. ? Still a great job mate and i will be doing a performance upgrade on mine soon, thinking of Clubsport Headers with ceramic coating and cat back system but with hi flow cats and a OTR/ Tune, which should bring it close to about 250KW at the rear ( saving about 3K for the exhaust system.
OR or spend approx 15K for a supercharger kit and have approx 400KW at the rear wheels and get the right trans cooler suited for it like the same as what the HSV's have got, but in saying that the autos are different to a 6LT unless you have a 6.2lt auto then they will bolt on straight away, also Holden Have said that you dont need a trans cooler at all, even with a tow pack on the new cars that dont have external trans coolers WTF, its common sense the auto is going to be working harder especially in summer months and they dont have a trans cooler from the factory when you order a tow pack as a new car , more like let the autos fail so they have to spend more $$ later on ?
also n Just commodore forums a guy is going to put a S/H cubby headers and exhaust system and OTR and tune, just need to wait till he gets it done and posts it to see what the KW /HP figures are ? cheers and good motoring gunner smith. :)

Blowing my VF HSV in a few weeks time. The LS3 is a great engine but lacks low down torque. Stick a supercharger in there and its an entirely different animal.

Nice sound. Bet you're happy with the upgrade. Though just on the tune Walkinshaw Performance says this about an upgrade to their top of the line W547 kit (so you could probs tune her even higher without any dramas):
"There are no changes made to the driveline or chassis of the Commodores and HSVs in concert with the W547. The only concession WPP makes to any concerns about so much power and torque pumping through the system is a driveline warranty. But WPP boss Tony Harris insists the kit does not threaten the 6L80 transmission six-speed auto that most V8 Commodores come with: “We are probably at the absolute peak as far that driveline is concerned but we have not had any driveline failures.”
@ 110 KM you have the AFM auto fuel Management start, which has alternating pistons with fuel, so you dont have any drone noise at the back even if you wanted too, the only time you will here the rear mufflers sound good is when you give the pedal a good kick down. :)
I think that towel over the rear boot catch interferes with the car alarm and prevents the engine starting remotely. An integrated safety feature if someones behind it when its ajar?

I have done a 400k trip,200 each way, 8.8L/100ks on the way down and 7.9L/100ks on the back. 400ks on the Hwy. This result is about 0.6L/100ks better than before with the car completely stock from factory.

Just remember that it had to be tuned low due to auto transmission.
500RWHP for Auto trans, You might get more like 600RWHP for a manual box

It wont start, because you had the bonnet up. :) But otherwise the supercharger kit is perfect, the only aspect i would have concerns about would be the auto & a OE Trans cooler, the Trans cooler from Holden is $1,000 & its totally different to an aftermarket trans cooler, it has Valves etc, that works i guess when the trans get to a load it will open up to add more cooling to the transmission, anyway cool car, theres a Walkingshaw with W 547 KW redline for sale right now for over $85K on carsales .com Series 2 Redline ? Otherwise its all good, basically my 2015 redline has KN filter & Difillipo rear mufflers only, which gives it a v8 sound & also rear Brembos, cant wait till i have the CASH to put the supercharger on it. :) Which is about $15K i believe, depending on where you go etc. The Walkinshaw upgraded redline was a blue 2016 in 4th week of August 2016 ? 85K dollars, no mention about warranty etc.
I wonder why to date not one person has made covers like the Walkingshaws have for the heatbeat supercharger fitment ?
I think the remote start was turned off or something like that, also people tend to forget that you have two key fobs and forget to replace the battery in both keys every so often ,good that the dash message comes up to say the battery ( CR 3V 2032) in the key fob needs replacing as well. :) Best car made by holden barr none The VF REDLINE series one and two. :) If i had the cash i would do the same for sure, it costs around 20K thats if you have cam and heads, just the supercharger, headers etc, tune etc, is around 12 to 15K approx, also depending on who does it. Still worth it, but again each to their own, people will always think that the car will be thrashed while she had the charger on her etc. :)

Well as best i can tell its around a mid to high 3 but with wheel spin on 275s tyres and I would say this people smoke dope gamble drink like fish but I like to improve cars.
bloody awesome u car now needs a better cam big difference with the supercharger engine put in now and the noise u hear with the windows up is your tyres u need better tyres u braking perfect and it drives well superfast amazing got to get one now i wonder why my mate wants the same thing in his maloo ute extra horsepower what u pay the supercharger thx

Done 100,000 ks never a problem highway is between 9.2 and 8.4L per 100ks but town is like 20 to 25L per 100ks sometimes worse if you drive hard. Absolutey no regrets but remember its tuned light only 500RWHP it could be more like 600+

just got same SC on my '16 ute, how many k's have you done on the car and what sort of service work does the SC need done to?
now up to 70,000 and getting oil change every 10,000, how many HP did you take it to? Also getting a high 7.6 7.9Lp 100ks on 110k zone cruise on
silverss onyoutube Still got it 45000ks on clock now.Just went with the SSV but didn't like the lack of sound for a V8 so then priced exhaust system and thought why not supercharge it.L77 engine, Believe they used various engines, Must be leftovers. And yes real happy, turns a few heads too.
Gunner, can you tell me if you had the Factory Trans Cooler, because i went to Holden & the only Factory trans coolers that they have came out on a police pack, which if you look up the SSV Production line from South Australia you will see a Orange VF come down the line with a TRANS cooler & its a massive type as well, just saying because after market trans coolers dont work in the same way as the factory one, which sits on the passengers side in front of the A/C condenser the Production SSV in on u tube, please look it up, i am just wondering because i have a Holden Picture printed straight off the system & it has a totally different set up to any after market trans cooler, i understand the Radiator has cooling fins inside for the transmission, but to get the Holden Trans cooler it cost $1,000 with out fitment ?
Have a large trans cooler right in the middle of radiator, looks like the square block that joins from left to right has been modified.
gunner smith Ok, but when you get a chance have a look at Holdens offical Transcooler at a Holden Dealership look at the print out from their computer, because they are different in the way the work, not the same as simply allowing trans fluid to go to a radiator out the front of your car, but if your happy with it, then no worries cheers :)

$17,000, Remember it was tuned light as the trans has not been upgraded.If it had been a manual or trans upgrade I would get over 600RWHP but 500RWHP is enough to handle for now.

th-cam.com/video/5HI1IyHK8iE/w-d-xo.html thats the factory transcooler & if you go to Holden get a print out of what it looks like & you will see it has valves etc hat operate at different pressures etc. chhers buddy. :) I suppose for my car because i dont do any towing i will not need one, but any car the transmission is the 1 thing that is over worked & the extra cooling is better than none, that way your transmission will last longer & depending on what you going to do with the car i suppose as well keep it or use it & then trade up, it up to each person to do what ever they like cheers buddy . :)

You can get a 547kw Walkinshaw kit for $25k inc 3" exhaust, eaton supercharger, cam,valve springs, tune, etc

No updates still strong. Would love higgins heads and a cam done but due to covid cash is short

Do you know the 0-100 time on this car
I haven't had much of a go as she just spins the wheels the whole way, even with traction control it shuts down at around 70kmh and then restarts the power.
Brand new tyres cost $1200 for the rear and it don't matter still spins.
But the best time I have got is around 5sec with 100% wheel spin all that time

Good if the supercharger was bit louder.
You can make it louder simply by using a Glimmer belt but they are quite loud. The other way is just to pump up the boost. Goodyear belts are the shnitz.
vf1 ss and r8 owners got robbed soon as vf2 came out. r8 performance for the price of an ss.
They don't have 500RWHP, Think I might look at 2017ss, I read somewhere the gts would cost around 140k
yeah the new gts-r will be a bumped up gts with over 600hp and be quicker than most European cars. The ss won't change series 2 is the last generation of commodore.
Mate go for the last Holden's re: The director series, :) I would if i could Afford one, but i believe all the last VF'S are all sold out anyway. I still believe that due to the unique Redline extra's they will hold their pricing,especially with low KM's. :)

The mechanic tuned it low 500rwhp instead of 600+rwhp to protect the trans shes now got 130000ks since been fitted with the Magnusson and no worries and yes I do turn the tyres.
the Panasonic sound system is worth $1299 but i got it for $799 big Aussie dollars..dont get Pioneer or Bose as they are pissy brands of sound..get a Panasonic

The auto has more capabilities even though I would have a manual i would go for the auto because of the sequential capability that allows faster shifts
