I'm so glad you recapped this one.. I remember trying this series out, it started off promising but got so slow and less captivating as the episodes went on.
The animal food subplot kills the series momentum instantly because we've already seen wild animals reacting. A third of the starting episodes is the reporter freaking out about corporate evil the other two is talking about the apocalypse, crazy theories and new natural orders. It becomes relevant but at the start it feels like we're constantly cutting back to irrelevant boredom.
Good shows end have an end to their story . Others shows just become cashgrabs after their success and continue their story which would have ended in S4. now it's continued to S20
I mean animals in the wild don’t really obey humans. So i don’t know if that’s apart of the movies universe or if the writer is convinced wild animals obey us.
Wild animals are more complicated. They aren’t in constant aggression but instead are often submissive when there’s humans. Similar to birds flying away. As for predators instead of avoiding or being passive aggressive shy behavior during conformation they are more set on killing. They didn’t see humans as a territorial threat or another’s animal to eat or kill to defend themselves on average. Which is why it says smarter. They also got more aggressive When they say obey it goes into submission. I can’t think of an example on the spot.
The only reason why Humanity remained on top of the Food Chain isn't because of our Strength, Speeds nor Sizes, it is because of our Peerless Intellects, if Animals have the Same level of Intellect as Humans, well, let's just say we'll be at the opposite end of the Food Chain.

The thing is.. Assuming animals would suddenly reach our level of intelligence, they'd still not have access to all those tools we created over the centuries. And even if they would be able to use ours without training and stuff, they can't just drive vehicles with bodies unfit for them. So while they could obviously and most definitely cause a lot of harm on the small scale, I doubt they could easily "win" against humanity..

If people used ANY of the firearms in their hands 🤣 I stopped at the friend getting eaten even though it was ONE lion in a one-way entrance.... He must have set the rifle up on the dashboard while SEARCHING FOR *SURVIVORS* meaning *Danger* caused this.... Makes me doubt his safari experiences.
