As a hunter i will say its sad and breaks my heart to see an injured animal. Both deer have hurt legs, front left on both.Deer are resilient and i hope she pulls through.
Hello CLDT! I feel the same way about the injured deer. I'm afraid to report that the doe is now traveling alone without the little button buck so I believe nature has taken it's course with him. 😔 I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment!
@@715trailcams Nope not much snow. 4 days of fog over Christmas then two days of rain. Went below freezing last night for the first time in a week. I have not had to plow my road out yet this winter. But I am sure Winter will surprise us with a dump soon. I had a pair of coyotes around here for years. Female only had the use of three legs. Raised a few families. Dad was a great father. Mom died two years ago and dad moved on.
For some reason it will not let me click that link. What is the title of that video and I'll do a search on your page. Also, I never realized you had your own videos on your page. I subscribed and will definitely be checking these out!
Once again, thank you for sharing your video. It is nice to see all the wildlife activity from the Northwoods. You sure can tell as the nights get longer the more nighttime activity you get. I guess the food is less abundant, so the animals need more time to find it. I'm happy to see that young deer is learning how to use that bad leg. That 9 pointer must have left your property one too often, or someone was watching your videos for more than just enjoyment. Take care, happy new year and may God bless.
Hello Ken! Yes, unfortunately, lots of night-time activity since the days have been short. The young deer seemed to be doing better on that leg but now the doe he was with is traveling alone so I'm afraid to report that I believe nature may have taken it's course with him. I believe some lucky hunter harvested the 9 point buck during the gun deer season. I was seeing him right up until opening day. Thanks for watching and Happy New Year to you and your wife!
Okay both those first deer have left front leg issues. The first deers left knee was even swollen. But not nearly snapped into as the first one was. Could they both have been hit by a vehicle? It's bad enough being injured, but in the winter.
Hi Donna! Yes you are correct they both have front left leg issues. The older doe has had that ball at her leg joint for a few years now and that is how it has healed. The younger button buck had recently aquired his leg injury a few weeks prior to this recording. I'm not sure exactly what caused either of their injuries but a vehicle collision is a possibility. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment!
Hi Nina! Yeah the poor thing... I'm afraid to report I believe nature has taken its course with the him. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment 😊
@@715trailcamsWhat’s the theory on the injury? Looks like it tore some/all tendons in the knee . Doesn’t look like a hunter type wound. More like a slip and fall while running? Maybe a car strike ?
Hey Gerald! I wish I knew. The interesting thing is the doe he is with also has a large ball on that same exact leg joint from a now healed injury. That doe has been around on and off for a few years now. I kind of think maybe their territory has an area that may be difficult to navigate and may be causing these leg injuries?
We didn't have any snow until today. It started snowing over night and it's supposed to snow throughout the day but only about 2 inches of accumulation. More snow in the forecast later next week as well.
Hey Esox Addict! So true, in fact I believe nature may have already taken it's course with him as the doe he was with is now by herself. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
Hey The Green Invasion, I thought the same thing! The doe's injury is a few years old and now healed. The younger nubby buck's is only a few weeks old. I wonder if there is terrain in her territory that is tough to navigate causing the leg injuries? There is also a highway nearby so possible a vehicle hit? Thanks for watching!

Likely wolf food ... and so it is in the wild.

Great variety of footage! I enjoyed seeing the close up of the deer in the snow and that fisher too! Thanks for sharing

Another very relaxing and enjoyable video. Lots of coyotes running together. The clips of them with the snow coming down is so moody. Excellent
Hey Woodsman! Glad you enjoyed 😊. Those coyotes have a nice little pack family. Do you have much for snow up by you? Thanks for watching!

@Woodsman991 pretty similar weather to here then. It's kind of neat having those coyote families around plus they help the keep the rodents at bay!

With that pack of coyotes around it might be tough for that lame deer to make the winter.

Could be genetic too. Either way, great footage!
