Origins Of King Arthur - A Hero Of The Bronze Age?

In today's video I travelled to Tintagel castle, in Cornwall, following the footsteps of Britain's best known legend...But who was King Arthur?
To find the answer, I visited many historic sites around Britain from Bronze Age causeways and Roman Shore Forts, to Knightly Jousts, and Victorian museums.

I've been reading about King Arthur all my life, and like you, it got me intrigued by British history. Then there's all the fascinating mythology, which is a total rabbit hole, and the psuedohistory too.

Interestingly there were other stories that got reimagined as a medieval or Greek story such as the Iliad and most Bible stories, but King Arthur is unique as people started writing fan fictions with the idea that it was set in medieval times.
