Does he get a lot of turnovers or what? I just dont understand why he cant play in the NBA. He can play PG and he can score on these big guys and on the quick guards. Wtf. I dont get it
So traditionally, no he doesn’t commit a lot of turnovers. This year has been relatively high for him. But I think he’s had 0 turnovers his last two games. But that why they don’t want him. Its not defense either despite what people will try to tell you
It's not him being undersized either. That's another excuse I hear a lot. If Van Vleet can play in the NBA despite his size so can McClung. There are plenty of players 6'2 and shorter on NBA teams. He might be shorter than most SGs- even though he's playing PG now- but he more than makes up for it in ability and vertical.
@@BChandlerBaxterthe only thing I can legitimately figure out is that don’t want someone who looks like Mac to be a scorer. You can look like Mac, but you have to be a facilitator only. Him being able to do both is not an archetype they are comfortable with.
@@thecagedunicornno. The answer is simple. The NBA doesn't respect G League success. He needs to go overseas or get a new agent. Pat Bev and other short guys often did both.
Like at this point, it seems they deliberately don’t give him a chance. For me my biggest gauge for his ability to play at the next level is how he’s performed in the rising stars games. Like people can say all they want that they aren’t trying, but no NBA player wants to lose on national television against a bunch of g leaguers. I think he did very well in those games. But yeah, he really should go overseas. Take his boys, film a bunch of content, and just have fun.

@@Abraxastrust Same amount of TO as Lebron James, why don't you sit down.

@thecagedunicorn yep. Theres no grand conspiracy tho, just bad management on most teams and lack of respect for the farm league (G League)
