It was only two months ago that I was going around in TVS showrooms asking about the FI + ABS variant, they did'nt have any idea when it will launch. So went for the Pulsar RS200 ABS instead.
The response is'nt as punchy as the Apache but it goes really smoothly at high revs.

true, but 200 ns offers better top end whack because of the added 6th gear.
True, above 6000 rpm the engine shifts its nature from being smooth and efficient to a slingshot, revs climb really fast after that.
They will have idea, pretend as if they don't know or say not launched yet to clear old stock
Some factual corrections.
1. It costs more to own and maintain but the maintenance of an FI system is after atleast 50k kilometers. The system is pressurised and its self cleaning. Not to mention a carb engine has to retuned for performance and commute and different kinds of riding not suited to tune up leads to service intervals of around 20 to 30k kms of the engine itself. Where as in FI only the injectors may needs cleaning at this point. Since the mixture is always perfect the engine health remains for a longer time.
2. Low fuel level doesnt cause harm to the injectors, they are simply solenoid valves opening and closing they get spoilt only when run dry for very long and logically if they are dry the engine is obviously not running and they wont get spoilt. Low fuel levels cause sloshing in tank and proper amounts of fuel does not enter fuel pump in tank, and since that is a motor pressurising fuel it suddenly spins fast when no load and fuel has moved away from its inlet port due to hard braking of leaning while low fuel, the motor has high chances of burning up due to sudden loading and unloading. Also FI bikes are not run dry like carb bikes for the same reason of pump motor burning out.
Also pretty sure that the fuel pump is lubricated by the fuel itself and since it always stands vertically in the tank it has to be completely submerged.
So how minimum fuel has to be there in the tank? Its also reduce fuel range that way

Dino Bhai ye bat new btaya ki bike needs atleast 1.5 liter petrol in the tank. So that's something new dinopedia for me.
Carbs have worked for over 100 years in alsorts from boats to planes. They do a perfectly good job. Injection is great. Tuning carbs requires a delicate touch. Carbs are not difficult to maintain or expensive. All you need is a basic tool kit. It only gets expensive if you pay somebody to do it for you.

I was inclined towards the carburetor engine owing to it's frugality. However, after watching this video my perception has now changed. I would now prefer an FI engine. Thanks Dino Sir!

is it possible to programme the EFI unit for a parallel twin motorcycle to have two modes; 1) normal running mode i.e both cylinders working. 2)Other mode is a cylinder deactivation mode where the engine uses only one cylinder or both cylinders fire but they skip a cycle after every power cycle that in return consumes less fuel.. ... e.g engine is a 350cc twin so running in mode 2 is like a 175cc.. ... An you programm one?

Dino I had learned in my automobile classes that there are many sensors for FI engine ....so it will also respond according to the terrain we are riding,,so its very difficult to maintain these sensors once it get damages..it will costs u a lot.

I owns Apache rtr 160fi 2010 model. Since 8 years I used to get serviced my bike in tvs authorized service center. Is there any problem will occur in ecu or any sensor will fail if I done it in local water wash shops. Pls guide.

@Dino bhai, I've a doubt. Like u mentioned in the video we need a minimum amount of petrol in the fuel tank for FI based engines, does the low fuel warning (or the fuel indicator) is actually calculated by considering to total fuel available or does the bike actually keep the desired amount of fuel and then show the rest of the fuel for indicating the levels. (hope this question make sense! :( )
Can you make a comparison between Apache RTR 200 , NS 200 and fz25. Since they both are the premium 200 + bikes under 1.5lakh

U said In FI variant the petrol shud be reserved for at least 1.5-2litres,but the showroom person said minimum is 4 liters,So which shud I consider as an advice ...? Whether its 1.5-2 or 4litres...? My question may seem to be bit odd but..still I would like to ask that If Fuel-injection is better than Carburator in terms or Fuel economy then why Mileage concentrated Vehicles like Hero Splendor, Honda Activa etc don't get Fuel injection system fitted in them ?
hero glamour has been already introduced with Fi and it offers amazing mileage. With Fi mileage does go up marginally compared to carb variant by around 2-3 kmpl in case of performance bikes and up to 5 kmpl in commuter economy class bikes.

rich mixture = more power and more fuel (5:1 to 9:1) here 5 parts = air, 1 parts = fuel
lean mixture = less power and more mileage (11:1 to 18:1). But anyways you don a great job, sir. and good information thank you sir.

Converting carb to fi requires sensors, fi unit, and may be some changes in head and the end result may not be fruitful. But vice versa is possible easily.
As there is no change in these apache versions. Yes its possible but costs you dearly. You will not gain any significant changes. Wastage of money.
Carb bikes are still good and will remain in market.
Fi units are complex to handle while servicing.

Go For FZS v2 for high milage , Refinement, and better low end. Go for Hornet For power. Better top end, better brakes. Looks are subjective. I will prefer FZS.
