ABOUT THIS VLOG:
➡ We have been to both semifinales of Sporting CP vs Benfica in the Taça de Portugal, where Sporting CP were able to advance to the final against FC Porto.
This is one of the most epic experiences to have, if you love football and the atmosphere that always follows. We've heard stories of the pregame atmosphere that is basically like a festival with music and relatively big artists playing on the scenes. It was a lot of fun to explore both the Sporting CP and FC Porto zone, where you would find happy people all over the place drinking tons of Super Bock and barbecuing like it was an actual picnic.
The highlight of the entire final da Taça de Portugal was of course that Joen's twin, Bas Dost, scored to 2-1. Bas Dost forever!!!

It began construction in 1939 and oppened in 1944. It's old, practiaclly unchanged, but most importantly, historical. Its has a special place in the heart of portuguese football.

so guys, I can explain what happened. You most likely bought your tickets on the black market. This a match that only happens 1 time in 10 years (two big teams in the final of the Taça de Portugal). A regular fan won't sell you a ticket for a kidney, even less for 150€. The guys that sold you the tickets were from one of the organized supporter groups, they usually have plenty of tickets. Thats why you ended up in the middle of a tifo with not that polite people. I'm even surprised how they let you record any video. Among the organized supporter groups, you ended up in the least likable ones. Sorry about that. Next time, do what you did. Move around. Usually the areas around the organized supporter groups are more crowded, leaving open seats in the rest of the stadium.
Why do we play in this stadium?
The Federation doesn't want to play there, the clubs also don't like it that much. It's mainly for the tradition and space around the stadium. This is like a Superbowl day. You go to the middle of the parks surrounding the stadium and you just spend your entire day there. Drinking (that's why you have that many drunk people in the video) and eating, spending time with your friends. It's just an unforgertable day.

Now I ask you for a Vlog of the Nations League semifinals game Portugal -Switzerland in Porto on June 5 if possible and the final if Portugal get there. You could try to watch the Futsal finals between Sporting and Benfica also ( intense games ). The historical rival since the beggining was always Sporting, but for the last 30 years the dominance of Porto it's been so great that most Benfica fans probably hate Porto the most now. PS: You have to go to the Supercup which will be held probably in the end of August and most likely in Estádio Algarve. It will be Benfica vs Sporting and you can come and visit the south which is known for it's amazing beaches and great weather.

Let me tell you, you were very brave to go to the Porto fans and say Bas Dost! Unfortunately, going to the stadium is still very danger, specially in big games like these! But if you are careful, it’s worthy! It’s the best futebol shows! About the stadium, yes, it’s not the best stadium, but the finals are never in the house of the teams. And people never sit. Last year I went to the game. Me, my father and my brother had tickets, and we saw the game, sitting on the floor, because the tension was to big, and they don’t let us get to our sits. First To answer the lady and you, this stadium was built really really time ago.
It´s for me and for many Portuguese a gorgeus stadium. Yes it needs some investment on the outside and maybe on some stands but in general it should be like this.
We dont want progressive shit stadiums in trade of this lovely place with so many history.
Second, with all the respect, you should know that you are not in the UK or the US, here we have many ultras group like many countries in Europe. They are normally at the left or right stands. If you want to have a "normal" view, you should go to the center stands.
To end this, i will advice you not to say those things to the supporters next to you, they probably do not speak english. If they would, i dont think they would act passive. Sorry for not the best english.
You still have Nations League in Portugal in June, its the semi-finals of the competition. There will be 2 games: Portugal vs Switzerland and England vs Holland
That's our National Stadium, that makes 75 years old this year, it's like our very small Wembley. It has a big mean for Portuguese football fans. It's where all go to realy live football as it should be lived. So it's more than a stadium, it's a tradition and that's why everyone would be against playing the final at another stadium. Although we can all agree that it needs some big improvements, but not sacrificing the simbiose with the nature around, that's what turns it so beautiful.

Football is more than a game. And this final had an special meaning to Sporting. Last year Sporting lost the final in the most difficult week in Sporting history. Winning this year was not even for the trophy. It was a way to bury for good (we hope at least) the scars that have been open last year. Now that they have win it, we all hope that this last year will finally be buried, and Sporting could finally take is place as the greatest club in the world. Because it is. It could take years to become what was always is rightful place, But Sporting is the greatest club in the world.
Stay Classy Vlog I have a tip to give to you. You cut the clips early. Meaning that when you cut a clip you should do it a frame further because if not it looks very rushed. An example of that would be the 19:20 where Amelia almost didn't finish talking.

Also your friend doesn't know as much about Portuguese football as he thinks although he knows an impressive amount! Soares is not considered a good striker from a team that had falcao, martinez, etc. Also saying Porto would beat Sporting outside of Porto when it hasn't happened in the past 11 years in about 4 or 5 different cities. And then saying Porto on penalties when we've beat them the last 4 in a row when it went to penalties. But it's normal that a Danish guy wouldn't know their bad record outside of their own city.
I know Soares is not good compared to players like Hulk, Falcao, etc., that's why I said he is good for Portugal, those players went on to play at the highest level and that is exactly what I meant. Soares does not have the talent to play for a top club in England og Spain ;)
Is regards to the game it self Porto was way superior and throughout the game, all credit to Sporting for keeping them from scoring and actually getting into penalties. I said off camera that I think Sporting is favourites on pen's as they have a better keeper as Casillas is out, but I had to stick with my original bet and that's why I said Porto on pens ;)

Everyone knows that the stadium isn't good. But as you have witnessed, the atmosphere surrounding'it is just the most amazing thing. And was already said, it's neutral ground.

In June there will be the Futsal finals between Sporting and Benfica. The first team to win 3 games becomes the Champion. Sporting won the Futsal Champions League a few weeks ago. Try to get tickets to game 2 or 3 in Pavilhão João Rocha (Sporting). Benfica will host game 1, 4 and 5 (if necessary). No dates set yet. Last year Sporting beat Benfica on game 5, on penalty kicks, in PJR (the heart of SCP).
August, Supertaça, Benfica(league winners) vs Sporting(Cup winners) you should go and see that! Of course on the Benfica side!
