Jayne Torvill & Christopher Dean - 1978 European Figure Skating Championships - Free Dance

This was Torvill & Dean’s first international ISU championship at the Europeans in Strasbourg, where they finished an impressive 9th out of a possible 16. With them in the K&C is their first coach Janet Sawbridge, an acclaimed ice dancer herself who won multiple medals under the British flag with three different partners between 1963 and 1974.
