When I went with my school in January, this was definitely my favourite ride. We didn't have time to wait for the fastpass admission so we had to wait for almost an hour, but it was amazing! They let us go twice in a row, too!
Went on this ride back in March, was amazingly fun. perfect for people who are scared of rollercoasters as its suprisingly fast in places, yet lacks anything scary. You can tell from the video how big the que gets. I was really lucky and hit it at a spot where it was ghostly silent, managing to ride it 14 times in an hour :)
Oh I wish I could visit it once more ... The Disneyland in Paris ... It`s my favourite Disneyland and The Big Thunder Mountain is one of my favourite attractions . I was trying to make a good video but failed . That`s so hard ! And I have to say that this video is Wonderful ! Bravo to those who succeeded in making such kind of videous ! Bravo !
@ABOSS302, it certainly is, and after a gap of three years I'm finally getting back to DLP next week to revisit my favourite Magic Kingdom. My gratitude to you you and the other Imagineers who created such a wonderful place!
Quite right. I've been on the Big Thunder coasters in Paris, Orlando and Anaheim and the Paris one wins hands down. I enjoy them all, but the Paris one has a special place in my heart!

It's interesting that a lot of people don't realize that all the mining artifacts came from over 16 US States from real played out or burned out mines, some over 130 years old. Some were buried in snow, while others were buried underground with poison oak protecting their hiding places of many years. It's a real Museum Collection still in operation.
I have been on the Thunder Mountain Rail Road in Paris and Florida, and I think the Paris is the best out of the two, so it is likely it is probably the best out of all three.
@OnRideVideos I would also like to add deepest to my "Best" discription. There aren't many thrill attractions that pass under a riverboat. I really appreciate your editing and sound placement which makes it stand out from other videos I have watched. I show it to a lot of my team members and friends.
I think its faster in Flordia, because I actually found it entertaining with my whole family, and younger cousins. The hills weren't big at all, but it's VERY long which is what made me enjoy it :)
I can hardly wait to see your High Definition new Film of Big Thunder. Just sent a movie pilot of a Phantom Manor Film which includes Big Thunder to the Disney heads. Hope they do a film on the whole land of Thunder Mesa.
I went this ride 3 times when i was there in June...I think is the best of BTM...i tell you that queue lines are so big...in midlle season we have 1 hour waiting...i imagine that in august...scary :S
Some of the most popular attractions ave fastpass You insert your park ticket into a machine and it gives you a Fastpass back, you come back between the times on the ticket and get straight on the ride. Oh and they are free! (Tip- get a fastpass then get in the main que, when you get off the ride, it will be time for the fastpass so you can get straight back on. the you get 2 go's) Hope this helps!
it's not in middle of the lake! its in frontierland! i went the first week of august! it was amazing! i went on this ride twice! get a fastpass to get in quick (still gotta queue or it may take an hour or more! Space Mission 2 Ride was awesome! Its had 360 turns and lots of sharp turns! It was breathtaking! But had a great time - wouldn't have missed it! enjoy!
I'm not used to it just popping out of the mine at the end. At Disneyland and Disneyworld they splash at the end then go through a mining town a geyser feild then to the station.
all you have to have is the actual ticket. at some rides theres a machine where you put in the ticket and you get another ticket which has a time in it and thats your reserved time for the ride! Then with the fatspass, its quite easy to get to the ride coz you line up a different way and you don't have 2 queue for hours but it still may take 10 mins or so. thats all enjoy your time
Is this a vekoma coaster? Because I looked up "Vekoma" and I found this one... I was in this rollercoaster and it's really awesome! But Space Mountain also rocks... Doesn't it?!
I just noticed the Mill Buildings Fairbanks engine was not running and the Big Thunder's engine is still missing it's rear drive wheels. Hope they can fix those 2 items soon.
within 18 days i'm there to again!!! yippeeeeee!! but the ride on the video takes about 4 minutes but when you're in it looks like it takes much shorter doesn't it?
The Q lines were designed as part of the show and an educational experience for those who want to see real mining artifacts collected from over 16 United States and over 40 mines going back in time well over 140 years. Much of the mining machinery has been faithfully restored using the same tools and techniques originally employed. These are not props. I hope operations will utilize this Q line area for guests inrichment as originally planned.
Where is the town of Thunder Mesa which destroyed by earthquake? I heard the town of in the Phantom manor has rail of ghost train. I thought this coaster's rail is the same as that rail.I'm a Japanese student. But I want a go to Paris for ride these!

i remember last year i ride this roller coaster,i was kinda scared but that was my first time riding a roller coaster,turned out it was a fun ride :)
Ride might be tame, but it's fun. Great theme, wonderful details, and a cool backstory. Looks like this one is different than WDWFL.

I see Thunder Mesa has just had a snow storm which helps with the natural ageing and guests look happy with the results.
